Best Noodle Poems
My sister likes to doodle
I thought she drew a noodle
She gave me a glare
And tugged at my hair
And told me t'was a poodle.

Everybody’s noodle pudding’s
Baked a different way.
If you lined them up, you’d find
A real diverse display.
Mine, which is delicious,
Has two different kinds of fruit –
Orange slices from the can
And pineapple, to boot;
Sour cream, vanilla, butter,
Eggs and cottage cheese.
It disappears so fast, there’s not
A piece left I can freeze.
My friend makes hers with cream cheese,
Also pineapple and milk!
She bakes it half as long as mine
And says it’s smooth as silk.
Some recipes have raisins
And use cinnamon for spicing.
That combination, to my palate,
Isn’t that enticing.
In spite of the ingredients
That they’re concocted of,
All kugels* taste delectable
If they are made with love.
Yet every cook who makes one
Would be proud to take a test
Just to prove what she knows in her heart –
Her noodle pudding’s best!

Chicken Noodle soup
On a cold and winter day
makes you feel all warm inside
And ready to face today
You slurp the noodles
and you smile at its tastiness
You drink the broth
and giggle a little
Its Chicken Noodle Soup
So slurp away.

If there's frost on your noodle, don't despair
It's a sign of genius if you've got grey hair
But the experts say when the colour takes flight
Intelligence doesn't just happen overnight
It takes years and years of bumps and grinds
So make sure you don't get left behind
To survive in this crazy and wacky old world
Ya gotta be ready for whatever gets hurled
Grey hair says intelligence between the ears
Achieving great wisdom throughout the years
A scholarly person you've turned out to be
Now if only your kiddies could also see
That parents are not just a couple of dolts
May even be smarter than a lot of young colts
Who may know computers and all that stuff
That's not all there is, it's not quite enough
To be able to deal with the challenges of life
One needs the smarts to deal with strife
For everyday problems that are bound to arise
Facing head on life's every surprise
Don't be embarrassed by frost on you noodle
You've got the whole kit and caboodle
Acquiring great knowledge throughout the years
With loads of laughter and many tears

Light Verse
i stare at my phone as my arms start to stretch,
stretching so long that i cannot catch
my brain, when it starts to pour,
pouring my memories all over the floor.
the floorboards like to creak whenever i’m near,
nearing their senses for the pouring i fear,
i fear i’m lost, and cannot regain
the noodly arms and thing i call a brain.

Nothing will ever taste as good
as Mama’s homemade noodle soup.
It was the cure for everything
from chicken pox to the nasty croup.
It was worth the while of getting sick
to be brought a nice big bowl.
To make a soup that tastes like hers
has been my life-long goal.
Papa would dress a big fat hen
which Mama boiled ‘til it fell apart.
She’d separated meat from bones
but that was just the start.
To make her noodles she’d break eggs,
enough to fill a cup
and one single tablespoon of water
would completely fill it up.
Flour enough for stiff dough
rolled and hung to dry,
then cut into the noodle soup,
it was simply for to die.
Noodle soup was one of many
that Mama fed her brood..
No gourmet cook has ever made
a soup to taste so good.

Limerick
A bug who loved to doodle
was floating on a noodle.
He had to get some sunscreen;
the sun was getting brutal.
He could not reach the lotion;
he needed a commotion
to interrupt the pristine,
make waves just like an ocean.
He saw a pretty spider;
he sidled up beside her
to ask if she would help him
because she was a glider.
She glided to a lady
Who was a big fat ‘fraidy.
A-shriekin’ and a-yelpin’,
she made the pool all wavy.
Our bug packed his caboodle,
then hopped out off his noodle.
It seems that he was last seen
astride a golden doodle.
So if you don’t want cancer,
and you’re a take-a-chancer,
a long-haired dog romancer,
doodles may be your answer.

Chicken Noodle Soup
Fog's up my glasses
Burn's my tongue
Rocks back and forth in the bowl
The spoon shakes in my hand
Only getting a few drops
Burning my teeth
Clearing my head
Chicken Noodle Soup
The Lord's way of showing he cares :)
