Best Newyear Poems
Melting away is the year 2024.
We powered through or failed, but the hour is no more.
For the New Year celebrants, tonight gives no clue,
But I wish a year of happiness to everyone of you.
Happy New Year.
So like a puzzle, poorly jigsawed, with edges that never meet.
Shredded, sliced, and torn; and much too small to be folded or broken.
Wee bits of paper, wafting in the air, and falling to the street,
As the throng below shout the words which once a year are spoken.
In pastel tints are these minced papers, that float on gusts of air,
But now they pause in anticipation as midnight's hour comes near,
Then sail to earth like windsurfers, to signal this night without care.
Now is a time for choice and direction, as they hail in the New Year.

Yet another dawn sprinkles fresh colours of hope.
Never let the radiance of your inner strength fade,
Every moment's peace be painted with strokes of poise,
When endless waves of despair ends your serenity.
You, with mettle and grit, have thrived many such
Eclipse like moments of dark in the past,
As brightness boldly basks in his own beam,
Rising up from the dark umbra of havoc.
The year is over so I promise,
in fact insistently I swear,
I will not drink, deceive or gamble
or swear.
Just like every new year,
This new year too I've made
Five Resolutions to revolutionize my 2022
which are as below, listed:
1. To score good grades in the upcoming tests,
As these years of my school are crucial for my career.
2. To get in shape - healthy and fit,
As currently I look more like a teddy bear.
3. To learn cooking delicious food,
As I'm a foodie who loves eating more than cooking.
4. To seek an apology and mend my equations with all those,
whom, in 2021, I've hurt, and made them upset and angry.
5. And last but not the least, and this one is very important for me,
Is to do such a thing that will make my parents say-
"I'm proud of you, my child!"
I've taken these resolutions not for the sake of this new year,
I really mean it, when I say- these, for me, will revolutionize the upcoming year.
