Best Mudslides Poems
Dear humans, do you read me, I live in space,
Merely a being, sent by God, I'm all over the place.
I circle the world, live among debris,
You leave behind, you ruined your planet,
Now you want to go to Mars, so that you can
Pollute that planet in a few thousand years,
I have shed enough tears,
A millennium has gone by, and yet my fears,
Are much the same, not only the land you destroy,
But what of your beautiful oceans, you have caused
Global destruction, ice is melting, oceans rising
Lands worldwide are drowning, farms are flooding,
Mudslides send houses into never-never land,
We must do something, you all say the same,
Well do it.
Have you absolutely lost your sanity,
Your complete mentality in irreversible totality,
First think of your ocean life, ban plastic bags,
Deforestation must stop, this must be immediate
All trees are life giving, sustaining an all encompassing
Balance, animals lose their forests and move into
Suburbs, confused, looking for food.
You overpopulate,
Why three or four children, be grateful have one
Others so sad, as they have none.
Unemployment on the rise,
The poor have no chance of winning first prize.
You have brought about division between
Colors, creeds and nations, stop it, we are all
Brothers and sisters, please help the poor
Who come to ask for food at your door
Disparity of wealth crazy, billionaires now more
Than before, whilst the poor live under bridges
Or scavenge in garbage, shame on us, shame on us,
Shame on our governments, access to water is
Humanitarian, all should have access.
I therefore beseech you to do the right thing, be kind,
Be mindful, allow love to seep into your heart,
Don't risk becoming an inevitable mortal fatality,
Nurture your planets ozone deficiency, begin,
with healing your unhinged mental capacity
The beginning starts with you,
But of course, that you knew.

Prose
Morning has broken as it has done for many years
Day to day we continue without the fear of fears
Then out of the blue their comes thoughts from long ago
Prophecies of a past, that could halt us humans flow
Tablets scribed in gold, have been uncovered in Peru
For in them they tell of the future, surrounding me and you
We await with fervour in the media, the radio and the t.v.
As I try to get my head around it, and what it means to me
The day that they speak of, it's a little over a year
Do we just laugh if off, or do the sensible in us fear
As I drive through my city, towards this impending day
The street corners start to fill, does panic have it's say
Speakers start to recite, of this doom that welcomes we
I see suicides in escalation, jumpers in front off me
Families leave their homes, for they no not where to go
Panic buying surrounds me, anarchy appears to flow
We now reach December 2012, as we gain on the scribed day
Can it be all that was written, have the ancient had their say
My eyes catch the clock, midnight is awaiting it's strike
It'll be the twenty first of December, are the Mayan scribes right
The minutes pass the hour, everything appears to be normal
Maybe the writes are fables, to them simply formal
To pacify myself, will it be the radio or the t.v.
Sometimes one has to ask oneself, to simply look and see
Visions on the screen appear, many screens my eyes do view
Reports from many countries are brought to me and you
They show events of nature, more fierce than naturally so
Rainfall in arid areas, deserts in metres off snow
The Polar ice caps start cracking, exploding ice in crying break
Mudslides now carry cities, everything caught in their wake
Bangladesh now no longer exists, the Maldives have disappeared
The Mariana Trench now starts to rise, her ridges in rampant rear
A bulletin catches my ears, Yellowstone has started to erupt
Is this what the scribes have warned of, our planet being so abrupt
A rumbling I start to feel, where I stand I feel I move
I'm in tumble across my floor, in fear of their impending prove
My apartment on the only hill, allows through my window to view
A giant fissure slices through my city, for into it, buildings spew
The free ways now broken and torn, many cars in tumbledown
From here I hear the screaming voices, I'm deafened by their drown

Remembering days of young- long ago
Adventurous me, I yearned for playtime
Playing with my siblings on mounds of snow
To the peaks of high mountains I would climb
'Neath fallen oaks rotted stumps, I have hid
I used to be so sly and so witty
Down wettened remnants of mudslides- I've slid
'Fore man turned my home into a city
I now live in an abandoned brownstone
Once red-haired and fluffy-tailed; now all grey
For twenty-five years I have lived alone
Inside concrete walls...near the Hudson Bay
One last howl, 'fore I dream into the deep
One last howl, now I lay me down to sleep
Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Poetry Contest

Sonnet
In its thunderous voice, the sky spoke
"Let the rains fall upon you"
"Beware the hurricanes" ...the wind screamed
Electricity filled the atmosphere
Gods raised their rods
Forests trampled by mudslides
Snow blanketed the plains, and...
The deserts oases claimed to be real
Then,
Showing its face; the sun
Spoke in warmth...
"Life"
Let there be!

The thousands of words pain of imagination which improvised the parch of life to itchy sky, the foods is mudslides to the sadden caskets of corpses lying unattended, in the morning where they monitored to acidic
The ceramic of thoughts parches of imagination group of fact finding gluing by the fire exchanging stories, history of lives so fresh in their memories like the vultures covering the cloud of helmed of fathers.

The storm clouds roared and waves below grew violent. Death had flown to town with a powerful vengance. People gathered to pray on the grounds of the church by the sea....
The cliff has erroded and the church sits precariously above. Years and storms have
taken its toll on the cliff revealing stark danger. Fears of mudslides
and collapsing stones by the forces of nature...Made the
town folk relocate five miles inland to sound footing
Leaving the cliff church abandoned and perched
awaiting its certain destruction. Three
generations have come and gone yet
alone on its perch it waits... ` ;`

Disassociation
Gawaine Caldwater Ross
Some people dash through fire,
others plunge through ice.
Is Reality the only thing
when Chaos is the King?
Ring all your golden Christmas bells,
the sewer rats still dance:
Then the ice they buy and sell
will wind up in your drinking glass.
All muddied and black,
that iridescent toxicity
in which the ship is lost.
The mutineers choose weapons
and toss the captain overboard
to feed her to the sharks
by the reefs of broken glass -
each mirrored fragment seizes night light
and casts werelit visions
of her home bleeding, collapsing
as the boulders fall dead center.
(She goes into her heart and mind
which reminds her) of departing kin
who told her of the doom that wheezes
down the orchard's razor walks.
? Too cold? - We'll leave this
television frame behind
to go and seek the whip instead.
The radio commander never stops:
Hilarity dances with dank despair,
mudslides block the view.
She seeks a serpent that doesn't bite
and settles for a badger's den
with herself as Cinderella, Joan of Arc,
the Virgin Mary, or a
vulture squawking over food.
The radio commander orders her
to yell in a crowded subway train:
“Rubber plantation workers beat seedless grapes!
Venus is being invaded by dogs!”

Blank verse
Life is not always easy and it really depends on where you live,
I cannot speak of life in other countries because I only know Canada;
Canada is a nation of immigrants and all cultural differences we embrace,
Everyone can get an education, even a girl, we are unstoppable, never give up.
Every day there is horrible news on the television and the radio,
Torture, bombing, killing, fighting, and even natural horrific disasters;
Like hurricanes, tornados, flooding, earthquakes, mudslides, all faraway,
In Canada these things rarely happen, but we did have a terrorist attack last year.
Life in Canada is full of opportunity; you can be your very best,
Enjoy the little things and the big things without any fear or abuse;
Speak your mind, even make a powerful speech, we encourage freedom,
Explore our vast wilderness and go anywhere that you want, there are no limits.
We Canadians truly embrace our flag; you will see it every where,
The terrible things we see around the world really break our hearts;
We are the peacekeepers; so just let go of the past because life will go on,
Come to Canada and let go of fear, never give up and embrace our beautiful flag.

Lamenting the death of Nature
The rivers are dry and the dams are bursting
Drying savannah and in some cases totally scorched
I feel the pang in my heart , smelling the fumes
Of fires so fierce i can barely breath
The widely spaced trees that used to give a canopy
To an ever so green savannah is no more
The ocean that used to be so blue reflecting on the blue skies
Has turned from grey to brown and from brown to being
Filled with debris from all over the world
Plastic to glass and paper to metal and even dead animals
The sand that i used to roll and frolick on is just as dirty
But where is humanity when we hurt bruise and abuse nature
Who is guilty i quiz myself hopelessly in my mind
The answer lies with all of us yes all of us living today
The forces of nature have had it for every passing day
A natural disaster is reported from all angles of the globe
Mudslides here burning forests there and nothing seems to change
Our nature of feeding into an endless lust of consumerism
Has turned and made us humans an enemy to nature
Children born tomorrow will be born into a balding earth
I cry for mother nature for no amount of money could replace her
For at the end of the day there will be no more trees to print the money
Mother nature do not let your wrath fall upon us
Give us the wisdom to respect and honour your children
The earth the water the fire the air and most of all
The space we all need to live in

Mona Lisa why?
Mona Lisa loves sunshine
Rather, speechlessly cries… Why!?
See her left side’s show?
A scared girl’s face through window?!
With her straight blond hair does stroll?
Looking at the sky!?
Where darkness swivels to shine!
Strangely with enormous fright!!
Weirdly, heaven’s daze!?
Scares children as in chess mate!?
Gazing speechless and in vain!?
There’s lunar eclipse?
Behind her right sad eye’s wink
Over a dancer’s hybrid!
See her right thumb seems
A barge or a submarine
Off the cost line drifted in!?
See her right pinky?
Blistered for testing hot sea
Yet does not yelp for any!?
What was she thinking?
Was she hypnotized quickly?
Or shocked with painful heckling?
Tilt her to her right
Her right shoulder shows might
When the Red Sea slides inside!
Tilt her down to six
See the Black Sea draining its
River down curly stream quick?!
See the small bright dots?
Planets aligning below her smock
Attending all featured folk!?
Carefully look at!!!
Away from your face one foot far!!!
Get a pair of scissors and…
Exhume her upside
Down composure for a while!
Could a nail asteroid breach bile!!!
Until mudslides fill
In the huge gap as though it
Looks like collider’s strange zit!!!
Splits the atmosphere
As if dividing soil beneath
Dazzling earth was once believed!!
Carefully just glimpse!!!
See a comet passing quick!!
Or an edge of a ringlet!!
Does not slap the earth
For heaven’s and saints’ dear sake
Drifted slowly by strong faith!!
Tilt to quarter till
Volcano Mountain leaks gas!
Shown under her sliced thin chin
Lava slides down hill?!
When snow covers the land’s bin
In Mediterranean’s fin!

Choka
Drenching cold in every fiber
Washing away the little girl
Who once believed she could fix anything
With hope...
Clinging to spiky reality
Like a tuft of white fur to a filthy branch
So painfully determined,
Yet unrelenting rain;
Torrents of raw emotions
And mudslides of despair
Saturate and smear her fragile innocence
Her hope will dwindle,
Slowly drowned
Until nothing more
Remains
Of that child
In the rain

At midnight tonight, adieu 2015!
The scandal that’s 1MDB, with its many twists and turns, continued throughout 2015…
Venomous charges and contercharges hit the headlines unabated through this year..
The on-going saga, with its numerous side developments, serve up a fascinating read…
Day after day, to this very day, there is typically only unflattering news about 1MDB…
At midnight today, adieu 2015!
We may not recall the date May 4th but we do remember a most dastardly deed in 2015…
When 4 armed gunmen stormed a restaurant in Sandakan, Sabah in the crime of the year..
The gunmen made a mockery of our heightened security, the dusk- to-dawn curfew…
The Malaysian army, police and navy were caught napping in the face of this kidnapping…
At midnight tonight, adieu 2015!
Political fanfare took a back seat when something catstrophic happened in mid 2015…
18 climbers were killed in rockfalls while up on the slopes of Mt Kinabalu, early dawn of June 5th..
When a 5.9 Richter scaled earthquake hit mountainous Ranau, and triggered mudslides…
Tales of heroism and individuals acts of courage catapulted mountain climbers into hero status..
At midnight tonight, adieu 2015!
Most Malaysians are going to stay awake to bid goodbye to the year that was 2015…
The optimistic ones will be looking forwards to the dawn of a brand new year in 2016..
With the many horrible stories and bad news that have assailed Malaysia this year..
Most of us will not miss 2015 for this annus horriblis is best be forgotten in earnest…
At midnight tonight, Adieu and Good Riddance 2015!
Welcome, Welcome, Happy New Year 2016 !

Narrative
Groundhog Day derives from a Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if the groundhog emerges from his burrow on February 2nd and sees his shadow due to clear weather, it will return back into his den and winter will persist for six more weeks. However, if he emerges and does not see his shadow due to cloudiness, the spring season will arrive early. So for 2018, on Groundhog Day, "Will he or will he not see his shadow?" Following the lines of the seemingly illogical, I forecast that on Feb. 2nd it will be cloudy, and Mr. Groundhog will not see his shadow. Thus, spring will arrive early this year. That whole groundhog thing doesn't make sense to me, but I do believe that spring is coming early in 2018. I'm thinking that the snow, ice, mudslides, sub-zero temperatures and the like will have lost their punch by mid to late March.
I forecast that although there will be lots of devastating tornadoes this spring, they will be totally upsetting but not so record-breaking. Although there might be a selfie or two of someone with an approaching funnel cloud in the distance, there will be fewer lives lost due to more shelters being built and improved warning systems.
The 2017 hurricane season was unusual and is unlikely to repeat itself. The hurricanes picked their paths and packed a powerful punch. I forecast tamer and fewer hurricanes during the 2018 season. I don't think that mother nature is angry with us, nor am I certain that the 2017 season was indicative of the wrath of God as some seem to believe. He has plenty of reasons to be, but I don't think that our Maker is angry with us.
The temperatures will continue to be higher in general. The fire season will be normal to slightly above normal relative to the intensity and multiple outbreaks. Also, I suspect that people will make better adjustments regarding their environment relative to forestation.
Our prayer should be that there be less spring rain. In some parts of the country, if the heavy snowpacks begin to melt combined with heavy rains, that could be catastrophic. It would be a perfect storm for massive flooding. I anticipate more flooding in 2018 especially in the mid-western and eastern states as a result of the heavy snows this winter. May God forbide the perfect storm.
