Best Mou Poems
There is a poem in my heart,
that beats in different dialects.
Da ist ein Gedicht in meinem Herzen,
which flows freely through my veins.
Il y à un poème dans mon cœur,
that tickles the tip of my tongue.
Existe um poema no meu coração,
which dances with a million sighs.
Wo xinzhong, youyi shou shi,
that is suppressed by emotionless expression.
Mery dil mein bi aik nazam hai,
silent, as it cannot be heard through speech.
Jest wiersz w moim sercu,
unwritten, as it cannot be read through words.
Am o poezie in inima mea,
that hides behind a dynasty of lyrics.
Det er et dikt i mitt hjerte,
which only serenades internal chambers.
Yparxei ena poihma sthn kardia mou,
that conducts symphonies with my mind.
V moemy serzi jyve poezia,
which may never be understood.
Mei wor echo kèn non ngasangasei,
that whispers words for my beloved.
There is a poem in my heart,
because my heart is a poem.

Reveal to me, do!
How you carried off my heart and it now lives within you.
I can see it brightly alive in your godlike chest.
You had the loving, brown-eyed chutzpah to magically place
both our names upon it and yes, with the family crest.
Reveal for me, do!
How you, at every sunrise, serves me a cup of steaming
aromatic happiness?
And a shower together, Agapi Mou, the crest of jasmine jouissance!
Swimming as one, in life effortlessly, joyfully, in loves' rainbowed,
forever, dancing cadence!

Agape, love, what a beautiful word, its origin Greek,
To me using this word is such a passionate feeling,
People too gilb with I love you, must come from the heart,
Must be a saying reflecting true courage,
Like being in church and saying your prayers,
A true inspiration to talk in Greek of Agape,
It is sacred to say ‘se agapo’ I love you in my home language,
When my husband proposed, whispering in my ear,
Se agapo Agape mou, I love you my love, healing to my soul!
The essence of Agape, marry me darling, Oh yes I will.

Ouzo, oh ouzo, can make your head verily spin
But it made me feel like I was morphing into Aphrodite's twin!
And, more potent were your eyes stare and long eyelashes.
Dancing the Greek soldiers dance, OPA and in proud sashes.
Decades down life’s river, in the boat of life, we are one .
I close my eyes, still humming ‘Thessaloniki” loud and strong.
In a blue and white colored dream, I still caress your hand,
As we did long ago to a taunting, lively Bozouki band.
I shall blow out the gardenia candle and say good-night,
Loving you was, and is, forever~my soul’s precious delight..
Agape mou!

The stars come out tonight.
Do you see the ones I do?
That starlit, divine connection
When our DNA magically combined,
Dancing in harmonic coordination.
I can feel your hands in mine so
strong and able!
And I am 29 once again,
Your soft, sweet hurricane.
Putting my key in the door lock..
Laughing as your arms encircle me.
Off flew my shoes, keys rapidly
tossed on the table!
Heading for a future on the couch.
Thank God, there was no cable!
And I? Was so wonderfully, lost.
Eros inspired, as were you!
Both of us willing and more than able.
I, so terribly breathless!
My dancing, sparkling eyed lover, you!
I was absolutely yours for the taking,
And, oh, how well, you knew that.
We walk in our daughter today...
Compassionate, terrifically loving.
How she literally shines of you!
A chromosomatic daily reminder of
The same music still playing,
That memorable night of Agape Mou!

This time, I sing the praise of ecclesiatical love.
Though not esoteric, thou followers never allow
to think it beyond the sinister bodily move.
O' never touch it, that is a sacred cow!
which makes me wonder what is love?
When that thing has gotten so low; i vow
there is something that i got to show.
I love my love, told my friend when i quizzed,
cherished his nth love. But just before kissed
his (n-1)th love, ritualised the MoU and finally buried.
Love is an ocean claimed my friend, who spews
everytime when tasted water. Deep down the ocean he dives,
thrives but when reached the brackish lagoons,he skews.
Love is blind told another, when she is not bothered
of her anorexic size zero- a licence to get tethered?
Happily abandoned their loved parents as they are feathered.
Indeed she showered her love on her parents at an early stage
Her love just slithered when she got a posh and lovely date.
The immortal of the mortals, you named it love
an oaf's hormonal misfiring? galloping generaton's conduit?
smokescreen to lust? passport to brain's prostration?
an unplugged persecution? spielberg's avtar?
a pandora's box? a frankenstein monster? a nelson's eye?
a monkey on your back? or a touch screen monitor?
geez! Iam still in an ambivalent mood!
Is love - greek's Eros? chaldean's shedu?
Freud's ***** envy? oedipus complex?
electra complex? legitimate sex addiction?
a parent's affection, strictly and only, to their child -
then why the missing gender?
Is that the worm's eye view of an eagle? or
just the eagle's eye view of a worm?
As usual, my instinct blossomed and spread the scent of wisdom
love is a connecting wood in a ladder between the unconnected two
love is honey in the life of a bee and a flower
love is bliss in devotee and the divine
love is thirst for a man in the desert
love is sugar in a juicy mix of lime and water
love is also the fuddle of a drunkard with the drink

I think the French and Greek have the most beautiful expression for the word "wife" in their languages: Ma Femme (French) and Gynaika Mou (Greek), which when translated to English resonate with a cave man ring…yea….MY WOMAN!!!! MY WOMAN.....Can you hear Tarzan bellowing that Ahaahhhhh...AHA AHHHHAAAA. OOOOHHHHH!!!! I simply ADORE these expressions...I LOVE THESE TWO LANGUAGES!!!! My Woman!!! Possessive…Yea! The only way to be!!!
Ok, you polyglots...(a word with roots in the glorious Greek language..meaning Poly..many...glosa...tongues)...I know that you can also say epouse....and sizigos, but why would you want to be civilized when you can say......MA WOMAN!!!! Rock on, French and Greek....Hmmmmmm...French and Greek men....lovely! ;)
HA HA HA HA!
Yea...told you it was going to be a silly post!

~Translation from French~
Such a pleasant sound
coming from the little fountain,
I look out over the side of the balcony,
five stories from the soft sand below,
over the gentle curve of the horizon,
beyond what my eye can see,
a soft trickling,
plinking and splashing,
down from the fountain,
lit up with tiny lights,
leaping shadows cavort on the sand,
against the walls and windows,
around the water,
lapping at the pale white shore,
fireflies lazily drift about in the night
their tails glowing on the water
as they humbly go on their way,
the fountain still sending a cascade of water into the air
back down again
sending little splashes on the soft sand,
and reflecting the light as a star falls from the night.

Your shoulders drop and those Mediterranean knees spread
Into the most relaxed of struts
You are the cockerel in his roost now we are home
A long slow warm passage of air slips through my nostrils
Bringing back the so many times before
In hailing short and deeply, I stretch my mouth for the last time
My ears grazed with foreign text born from ancient breath
The rolling of your tongue romances me
Like it never can in English
I find myself in mental masturbation at the simplest of sentences
So sexual,
‘’Ti cannes moraki mou?’’ ‘’How...do...you...do?’’
Chuckles awake me as the family finds us and replace our luggage with kisses
Jewels planted so softly inside the dimples of my cheeks, then squeezed
Before leaving me in mute.

The Greek Taverna
Where can you be, dancer of my soul?
I want it be 1967 right now.
Where I can walk into the Minerva
Be seated by a handsome host,
And with my heart pounding..you are now walking towards me.
The red and white, checkered tablecloths -all fresh
My heart beating faster and
Sparkling like the cool ice on
your tray.
You warmly greet us in Greek
and give us the menu,
You knew I ordered Retsina always.
But you asked in hushed , musky and earthty tones,
"If I wanted some?"
I watched you walk away with your oh, so perfect Greek body,
Pressed black pants, red jacket and crisp, white shirt and perfectly polished shoes.
You return with Retsina, and it's my chance to order my dinner.
To let me seduce you with my brown eyes.
Yasou!
You always chose me first in any
Dance.
How could I refuse you?
I didn't know then, that the many times
We danced to Thessaloniki Mou
When You whispered "Agape mou"
in my ear.
It was not part of the lyrics.
I see decades later, it is not.
It's not too late for souls like ours,
For we are eternal, like sparkling stars!
We are bound by a spiritual creation.
And through silent nights we can
Still talk, kiss and hold one another..
In a musky moonlight
And a galaxy of a star sensation.
Forever,
Panagiota

MEANT TO BE
PANDA MAZEE,
It was a warm starry night,
The moon was full and bright,
I was working late,
Too sizzling hot to be indoors,
That made me think of you,
KOOKLA MOU
I reached for the phone,
My heart missed a beat,
I could sense you were alone,
KOOKLA MOU
THELO NA EEMASTE,
PANDA MAZEE
AS MEANT TO BE.
For years we have been apart,
KORITSI MOU,
We were hiding
Our love from the start
You have always had the
Key to my heart
As neither one of us
Have any ties,
We can say to the world,
That I love you and you love me,
Your sensuality is speaking,
And my heart is leaping.
KORITSI MOU
PANDA MAZEE,
SAN ENA POT-IRI
ME KRASI
AS MEANT TO BE
It was fate
To be be together
Forever and ever.
We married, our souls,
Finally set free,
Just the priest you and me,
STO OREO MAS SPITAKI
SENA OMORFO NEESAKI,
APGAPI MOU SE AGAPO,
TOSO POLI
AS MEANT TO BE
PANDA MAZEE
Love always wins,
It is life’s aphrodisiac
This poem/song is a sequel to "COME CLOSER TO ME / TRELOS YA SENA"
