Best Melded Poems
I close my eyes and you, my love, are there.
I hear your deep voice as in our love song:
“Endless Love”, you sang, and I am aware
Your missing arms are where I most belong.
So many years we learned to share our parts
As our divine souls melded into one,
We loved each moment in our heart of hearts,
Such opposites we were, yet we had fun.
As this romantic lover’s day arrives,
My memories of you are crystal clear.
You Rest In Peace my love, yet our love thrives,
My spirit feels your spirit always near.
Deep in my heart I know you still are mine.
You will forever be…….my Valentine.

we merge ...
I, rooted in your core
grinding up as you press down, never deep enough
supine, you on knees above, I reach up
weaving my fingers through silken strands
I guide your head gently down toward me, moondrops in your eyes
sweet tresses fall between us as our mouths melt together
tongues playing their own game, soft like bubblegum
I swim up the river to your soul
to that place indescribable, warm and dark
we are so melded that I almost feel alone ... lonely
but in the sense of being US, and one
I could let go my spirit there ...
without fear or regret or contemplation
I could stay forever on those shores, in joy
lost in our union and ethereal embrace
but it is far, far too precious for those ends
exquisite and rare for the sake of how momentary
and blessed for the sake of how perfect
how tenderly and passionately ... perfect.

Noor* of Taj Mahal, jeweled in red stone
death or love, tranquil oasis alone
rich jasper and jade hanging on its walls
in cold melody, mourning music falls
Mesmerizing bride in gossamer gown
Veil reveals... the majestic palace crown.
A medley of corsage strewn in sealed dream
opulent facade, beauty is the theme
Pale blue sky in her iconic magic
wax melded moonlight triumphs a tragic
covenant of love, splendor celebrates
passion so strong will never recreate
Aurora of a queen in marble white
glinting Yamuna*, her sole copyright.
* Noor is an urdu word meaning Light
* Yamuna is the river on the banks of which Taj Mahal lies.
Taj Mahal means Crown of the Palace

Soft notes of a clarinet playing
‘You are so beautiful’, stirs memories
of holding hands and making plans
in the dimly lit atmosphere, so close,
the scent of your after shave
left me breathless for a moment.
My long locks softly wrapped themselves
around the scarlet lei you bestowed around
my neck with a tender kiss to each cheek.
Lighting and music melded into magic.
When you cupped my face
in your masculine hands I could feel
the current flowing between us in
unknown wattage that swept through my body
like bolts of lightning as my entire being
tingled in the nearness of your aura.
They say ‘warm hands, cold heart’, but
I found this to be intrinsically untrue.
I will never forget the passion exuding from
your warm heart, with those warm hands!
Our first kiss spoke to me assuredly as
the material world vanished and
we were alone, alone in the darkness,
alone in our world.

I curse thee ribonucleotides
For to shatter my faith was your goal
and the spec of light I held inside
You've replaced with a vacuous hole
For science has proven beyond any doubt
That you came to exist on your own
Elements melded in perfect conditions
The recipe is finally known
These roots of life have been made in a lab
and they needed no ethereal spark
I close my eyes and try to forget
But there is no return to the dark
I'm stuck on this rock, what reason to be?
In the truth there exists no compassion
I curse thee ribonucleotides
and this empty heart that you've fashioned

Two hearts beside thee
such warmth ready to explode
captured we will be ~
Above the event
melded souls meet combustion
reciprocated ~
In their aftermath
natures now vociferous
have two hearts spoken?

Mom has always loved antiques
I have never asked her why
Perhaps it's the connection to the past
Maybe the craftsmanship
The smell of ancient wood
The curves
The fact that they were built to last
She turned a passion into a business
A few small pieces in her living room
A sign on a door
Interesting how businesses are born
Bob there by her side
Together building on her dream
There once was an old sawmill
Where men had worked with their hands
Hard work had its demands
Each one did what he could
Their strength remains
Locked within the wood
Those same hands had built mom's home
Over one hundred years ago
Time dripped on it didn't slow
Mom's home became the perfect place
To celebrate the past
Her home and business
Built from things that were made to last
The business grew
Taking over the home
Visits from patrons
Calls on the phone
Busy all the time
No space for them to be alone
It became time
For them to expand
They looked to the future
The life they planned
Built on their historic land
A new addition built from old wood
Soaring ceiling
Above them stood
I remember the beams
Spectacular
From an old barn hewn from fir
Lifted on Bob's wide strong back
Formerly they had been just a stack
A one of a kind home
Filled with love
With bedrooms and landing up above
The kitchen was the centre piece
A place to gather
Filled with love and peace
Love of the past
Hope for the future
Has alway been a part of her
Together melded and celebrated
As a result I appreciate
The solid
The values
The ingenuity
Forever engrained in my blood
My respect for the old
My admiration of antiques
Remnants of the business still remain
The building sold
Mom loves going to auctions
She still sells at local Antique Markets
Sadly Bob has passed on
Thankfully mom has moved on from her sad
She too is made of stronger stuff
Not unlike
Her beloved
Antiques
An old poem and this one is about old things.

Her senses melded with the tapestry,
coming alive,
as if the images woven
stripped her spirit bare.
Each image bearing the tale
of the ancients;
Forbearers of a forgotten world
stitched in new world colors.
Interwoven remembered glory
mingling with horrors, gory.
Interlaced, now, in a threaded story
merging the old,
with those of the new,
as if each needle threaded
pricked her living soul.

Paulette’s dream was peaked rapture without end
So she rested thought, to make room for the divine
Head and heart melded and to God’s will did bend
Paulette’s dream was peaked rapture without end
Her desire was fulfilled as bliss vibrations did ascend
All this was enabled, the moment she chose to align
Paulette’s dream was peaked rapture without end
So she rested thought, to make room for the divine

A Reliquary Musing
A child’s doll melded into a stone in a former Nazi Death Camp
as its chilling image haunts the collective mind of those who live
in the so-called civilized world of today and who profess a hollow
concern for a child who’s long dead and who’s been completely
forgotten to the rest of the modern world.
A sad image like this one should haunt the very soul of mankind that
oft professes a political correctness as it sweeps such unpleasant images
under a bone-ridden rug that reflects a sad happenstance and mutters only
a sigh at the horrific nature of such a truly evil occurrence.
And, only Almighty God knows this sad truth.
And, now you do too.
Amen.

They In Love, Both Sought To Teach
They in love both sought to teach
hearts melded together each to each
Spritely wind in each blowing sail
both wished same, coin in the well
Standing determined hand in hand
weathering every storm in this land
She feeling deeply his every fall
he racing to her every beck and call
Old age found them together strong
walking side by side right on along
She turned to help him as he slowed
he kissed her hand, her smile glowed
They in love both sought to teach
hearts melded together each to each
Failing wind now in each blowing sail
both wished same, coin in the well
One Spring day neither rose from bed
his arm around her, both lay quite dead

Is this the foothold you sought
when love decayed and left you wanting?
Avenged in miniscule degrees, each vindicated
moment a trivial gilded victory...
The stars align in nonsensical patterns
incouraging this gazer to find
fascination in fabricated Andromeda flirting.
Sweeping up shreds of delight to amass
a semblance of happiness melded
together with lint and common dust~~
We wont discard this...the loveliest
loving we know....a taste of wine
for the deprived and ignorant.
blissfully swirling this singular sip allotted
...mindful not to spit, but relish it.
This sun will suit the pale skin
from abandoned rainy days present and forever.
Not fully basking but splashing past blinds
in a dark house as we ran back and forth
to know the warmth from these sparing, yet splendid, beams.
Always the starved will be longing,
chasing the sated-the heartfilled complacent,
an impossible seperation, upstairs to basement.
No empty lust filled affair could ever replace it
...but must suffice today, as we are just so
...Hungry

You lift me from mundane reality,
with wondrous flights to lands of poetry,
where there, my simple visions come to be
expressed with chosen words of imagery.
Implanted in the heart and soul of me,
your brilliant gems become the words I see.
My clouded concepts there to you transferred
to be refined through vetting of each word;
to shape so artfully my thoughts conferred
that mirror passions of my heart incurred...
reanimated with your words preferred.
No turning back once our sojourn begins;
surrendering...the only choice that wins.
The hunter and the hunted, we like twins,
bind close together through the thick and thins
as words and thoughts unite in final goal...
all fragments melded to create a whole
and we together merge in heart and soul.
You soon present your gift of polished thought;
each word alive, well-chosen, sorely sought...
so bittersweet...my muse...poetic art.
My poem shines in your finality;
a diamond, honed from visions undeterred.
Through mazes, it encountered many spins
composing imagery through word control,
until your tranquil spirit knew you caught
that inner feeling deep within my heart.

When we so chose, to manifest on earth,
Stirrings of love divine, brought forth a pulse;
Our innate aliveness, bubbling with mirth,
Humming resonation with God’s impulse,
Feeling by touch, each offered sensation,
In playful, blissful, childlike innocence.
Heart outpoured joy in spontaneous verse,
Soul aligned as one with all creation,
Dwelt in glory of God’s magnificence ~
Exuberance had no need to rehearse.
Our body had it’s need, fuelled by greed;
Gripped by desire, our mind was in a fog.
Stirrings of ego, soon started to breed,
Boon now bane, tail began wagging the dog.
Baton of awareness shifted to mind.
Insentient to love, our heart grew cold,
Enslaved by lust, we had nowhere to hide,
Bound head to foot in ego’s ruthless bind.
Love became a trade, soul to devil sold,
Our heart contacted, though God dwelt inside.
Back to the start, the time our soul was free;
By God’s grace, we melded head with our heart,
Throb of love as conscience, our referee,
Soul’s radiance restored as work of art.
Love in love with love offers no excuse,
Beauteous, all embracing, lyrical.
Bubbling effervescence is it’s delight;
Presence then succumbs not to ego’s ruse,
An epitome of God’s miracle,
Love drenched soul again glows as living light.
