We Melded Hearts

We melded hearts a loving way,
With rings exchanged as we did say
I do, I do beneath God’s eye
While, through your veil, I watched you cry
Young tears of joy, our wedding day

When, on my arm, with bright bouquet,
We marched as one, to never stray,
Secure to feel precisely why
We melded hearts

So long ago, before hair gray
And children grown from tots at play
To strong adults who verify
We’ll deeply love until we die;
A love, content, that does convey
We melded hearts.

Janice, I'm sure it's easier to enter a contest than to sponsor one, so you deserve many, many thanks. You chose a challenging form I enjoyed, and I'm honored you thought so much of my work. Thanks! Dave
