I'd been watching him for years, (black as coal),

Almost two decades now, an extraordinary age for a wolf ...

Every full moon, and only then, he came to the clifftops.

Living With Lupus

Living with Lupus

Today is not a good day for me.
My lupus is making me feel bad, I hurt all over.
My face feels like it is on fire from the inside out.
My arms and shoulders hurt to touch, please don’t hug me.
If for some reason if I hit myself the pain is so bad, tears will...

Premium Member Canis Lupus - the Gray Wolf

Canis Lupus, gray wolf of forest and brushlands,
Where denning sites throughout are plentiful and safe,
With gifts of strength, endurance and great stamina,
You travel on for hours before fatigue sets in.

As Alpha male, joined with your Alpha female mate,
You lead the pack which heeds and follows your commands.
You join in pairs, or go alone at times,...

Canis Lupus the Wolf

Spring is here
and almost to the end of April
when I will give birth to my pups
the inner layer of my wool, fur has shed
it will help keep me cool during the summer

My den is well secluded, dug, deep, and large
enough for safety of my pups...

Canis Lupus the Dufus

He did battle with three little hams
was embroiled in the Riding Hood scams
now slower of gait
he simply must wait
for a visit from Mary’s sweet lambs

Canis Lupus

Vapour’s breath disappears into silent moonlight
	Past pearl white teeth.
Chilled -
Air frozen with fear and awe, hush -
Branches slow their clapping and bend to listen
As paws crunch into an icy clearing.
Still -
Icicles fall in a symphony of crystal wonder
Her eyes a dusty grey, as glass
Peer through the sleeping timber wood.
A blistery silence breaks -
	Her aerie howl
		Lifts...

Lupus

Lord my heart my heart
I’m crying out in so much pain
My joints swelling up
My face developed butterflies a rash
I’m weak can’t move can’t get out the bed
Lord I know you don’t put no more
No more on me than I can bare
But my skin developed ulcers and sores
The world looking at me like a...

*****Lupus Homini Est

You will not often find me
In amongst the fold
Being chased from the pen
Wherein your treasure lies
I will not clothe myself in sheep
I cannot be but that which I am

lone
I am wolf

If we are inclined to meat
I will grant what is yours
But choose to hunt me down
And I will eat you alive
I’ll gnaw...

Lupus

(I wrote this about a piece of raw gemstone I have next to my bed to help me have better and more insightful
dreams, whilst I was looking at it before I went to sleep:)

Compacted cluster of diamonds
Stars signalling from the heavens
Embodied by solid sapphire blue
Tilting the isolated skyscape
A centuries constellations fleeting in the passing...

Lupus

I live each day in agony,
No I don't understand
Why God let's me suffer,
With pain in my legs, hips and hands
I have a disease called Lupus,
Somedays I can not move
Yet every day is what we make it,
We simply have to choose
To give in to pain or just give up,
Not something I wish to do
I will fight...

Premium Member The Lupus Was a She

The lupus was a she
howling at an orange winter moon
baying for a he
with pups yelping unison in tune.

“Where could Daddy be?”
They question Mother as she softly moans.
"Just wait there and see.
He'll bring luscious catch of meat and bones."

A lone wolf was a she
to weak to gather food with all the pack.
Hunters on a spree
had...

Canis Lupus

In this crazy world I walk this dark forest alone
Refusing to be part of a pack
I don’t want to be known
I think independently
So I hunt alone
I carefully keep track of my evolution
Every day I have grown
But now I am in unchartered territory
I have fallen into a hole
I plummet like a stone...

Lupus Et Luna By Mike Williams

A lone wolf yowls lachrymose,
At a lowly weeping full moon,
A hyperborean chill blows,
To quake the trees snow-clad festoon.

Reverent icy waters stand still,
Solid as old placid cold stone,
And crystallize its surface frill,
Webbing fractures as cracking bone.

The moonlight shimmers lupine pelage,
Luminous white, silver, and grey,
Scintillating eyes peer a ledge,
To skulk the skirted night away.

A carmen matricale of...

Lupus

The Lupus

Wolf, feared animal in folktales, is back in north Europe
it was eradicated, or so we thought, but they have been
observed in woodlands wiser than before, they don’t
like sheep and rabbits avoid humans and dislike dogs.
prefer deer though, and wild boars. As historians tell us
never did wolves kill man....
