Best Lucie Poems
Loving and loyal,
Cream and shiny,
Stout and furry,
Speedy as puff,
Always in hurry
Couple of smudge,
Rub my ears,
wet my feet,
kiss my face,
Always comes when pick you name,
You sparkling when you sport,
Great big hint glint my face,
Big black eyes like moon pies,
It just get in my head,
Making me cry in my bed.
Lucie you're truly gone.
I keep your little photo
Hung on shady wall,
Heaven the place you are in,
we always remember you all,
You made saintly dog of all....
"She's round of body, but not fat",
mostly describes my Lucie cat.
A spoiled brat.
So soft and long is her gray fur,
but, often times, some knots occur;
then I brush her.
At times, she gets into a stew;
I have to listen to her mew;
at me she'll chew.

Lucie came into my life
when I was down and out.
She showed me how to live each day
and taught me not to doubt.
Lucie needed me as much
as ever I could her.
She had to overcome her fright
and learn again to purr.
She was afraid to be touched;
rejected my caress.
Somehow, between the two of us,
she let me, ne’er the less.
Now we have a bond of souls
and always will, I think.
We climb in bed and snuggle up
and seal it with a wink.
Lucie is my loving cat.
She snuggles with me in my chair
and I’m content when she is there.
Lucie likes her tummy rubbed,
but most of all, her ears I knead,
but not enough, she shows her greed.
Lucie loves her laser light.
She chases it with upmost glee;
gets exercise, assuredly.
Lucie knows her dinner time.
Stands by her dish and starts to cry;
sometimes she likes not what I buy.
Large Lucie pat her cat
On the porch where she sat
And she thought of tit-n-tat.
Did not see the stinging ant
So her cat just laughed at that.
Now she has a dog named spat!
For Large Lucie sat on that cat.
