Premium Member The Dream and the Song Live On and On

When I’m in glee of your alluring smile
As you gaze merrily ebullience of dawn
Caressing blush of emerging sunrise
Scintillating fervor upon magenta arc
Whispering gingerly to budding revelry
Strolling in morning’s flowery breeze
Creating your own moments of intimacy
Ignoring plea of my romantic appeal,
If only I could be that spectacular sun
Whose arrival you await so longingly;
May be, I too, can live in your dream.

When somber moods reign the night
And darkened clouds shroud horizon
I hear the clamor of dissonant vibes
Speaking boldly, yet saying nothing
Awaiting silently for glimmer of light
Exuberating luminance of galactic arena
Where, in its adoration you feel lost,
If only I could be that brightest of stars
Twinkling for you from heavens above
And touch like it does your fervid aura;
May be, I too, can conquer your heart.

When face of your winter turns harsh
Thrashing snowfall in freezing storms
You seek relief from autumn’s reveries
Reminiscing in zeal of crimson prairies
Nostalgic in colors of passionate alacrity
Rejecting emptiness of frozen vagaries
Eyeing instead for enchanting greenery,
If only I could be your spring’s ballad
In lyrics that arouse pulses of desires
Elevating harmony in rhythms of harp;
May be, I too, can seduce your song.

Sometimes you tell me, I’m your dream
Sometimes you say, you own my heart
Sometimes you vow, you are my song--
As the dream and the song live on and on…

We Live On Borrowed Time

On the wheels of our dreams
The hammer of Thor
Shall crack this fountain sky
What words shall find
The patient clock unwinds
We live on borrowed time

I Will Live On

Death--- the last sleep? No the final awakening.

---Walter Scott

I am merely a thousand of winds that blow.
You will see me in the winter’s snow,
a glinting diamond glow.

Fleeting sunlight, I will become
that lingers and glows on the grain.
I will soon become the gentle autumn’s rain
that washes away your sorrow.

I will meet you a gentle rush in
the sweet mornings hush.
I will live on and not sleep
for I will not die.
In the night when you feel alone
I will not be gone for I will become
the soft night stars glow.

For I will continue on to a plane
beyond the windowpane.
You should not weep for I do
not sleep.
For I shall not die but live on till
we meet once more.

This is not about me so no concerns this is for a friend.

"Howdy to you all from Colorado! This is Cletus Schlunk reporting,
Where gossip is fair and balanced and there is little or no distorting!
It's the home of the Rockies, Broncos, Nuggets and potholes galore,
And old mining towns like Leadville and Cripple Creek, full of western lore!"

"Hordes of gaping tourists from all over come to visit the Centennial State,
So I collared one to get his views and his comments to you I'll relate."
"Sir, could you spare a few minutes of your time for a little chat?
Tell me where you're from and where did you get that silly hat?"

"Ah'm frum th' great state uv Texus an' that's a hunder'd dollar Stetson son.
Now, don'tcha go a-makin' sport uv me - ah've cum here ta have a little fun!"
"Be forewarned that when sipping a cool Coors, respect the altitude here."
"Yup! Ah've figgered out that jes' one uv 'em will set ya' on yer rear!"

"What do you think of our magnificent mountains reaching for the sky?"
"Shucks! We used to have 'em in Texus an' they wuz nearly twice as high!
But ah'm here ta tell ya', they wuz flattened out years an' years ago.
That's why Texus is th' biggest state in the lower 48, I want ya'all ta know!"

"Have you fished our pristine streams, many that are off the beaten track?"
"Yup! Caught a 30-incher - he wuz a Texus minner so I throwed 'im back!"
"Well, folks, he out-bragged me so I brought the interview to a hasty cease!
Till next time, from Colorful Colorado, I wish each of you happiness and peace!

Their tender verses come to mind now and then.
They bring a smile, or pain the heart deep within.
Each fading from our minds, sadly, passed and gone.
Poets, Connie's, Milton's, Harry's, words live on.

Dedication to three wonderful writers
we knew and loved. Long live their
Poetry, and Legacy. Their Poetry are
kept alive in our hearts and mind.

A Man Cant Live On Memories Alone

On the park bench where he met her
He placed one last rose
On the headstone beside her
Reads his name and a date unknown

If I were to guess
I’d say it won’t be long
Cause a man can’t live on mem’ries alone

Once his Heaven is gone
His life turns to hell
From a home, to a house, turned into a cell
The smiles that still hang
In the pictures postponed
Cause a man can’t live on mem’ries alone

(Pedal steel fill)

As the perfume from her pillow
Slowly fades away
The keystone of his happiness
Crumbles more every day

The flowers barely wilted
He placed on her grave
Got tossed in the hole
They dug today

Once his Heaven is gone
His life turns to hell
From a home, to a house, turned into a cell
The smiles that still hang
In the pictures postponed
Cause a man can’t live on mem’ries alone

Though teardrops are falling
Without a doubt I know he’d say
I wouldn’t have it any other way....

Once his Heaven is gone
His life turns to hell
From a home, to a house, turned into a cell
(Fading out)

May They Live On

Mohawk, Mandan, Kikapu, Cree,
Yakoma,Seminole, Crow,Shawnee.
Arapaho, Chippewa and Sioux,
Mystical names to me and you.
Names like Delaware, Fox and Paiute,
Listen to their music on the flute.
Lakota, Macuna, Omulgee, Nes Perce,
Yuma,Nakota,Ossage, Washoe, Hualapai
All names that should never ever go away.
Many now confined to history, sad to say,
Mans greed for land that was not theirs,
Caring nothing for the Indian affairs.
Starved and defeated they were moved away,
Now are conveniently forgotten up to this day.
For 400 years the remainder has cried,
Who is going to pay for this act of genocide.
Man will never right this wrong, or even admit,
To the atrocities that they did commit.
Sacred Lands abused all the way through history,
Hundreds of tribes that roamed from sea to shining sea.
All long gone now lost to you and me
So many nations will be no more,
But their names live on and their spirits soar.
Remember their music and listen to their song,
Then their culture and memory will continue long.

Lest we forget. My offering of Remembrance
for the Native American Indian peoples.

Emit No Evil, Live On Time

Emit no evil, hearken!
Men of the underworld
Inflict pain, invite the wrath
Things fall apart, the doom's day looms

Nemesis swings into action
Oust every explosion otherwise...

Emit no evil, hearken!
Vampires of the universe
In a short while, gone the time
Let go of evils, offspring of the devil

Live for humanity
In it abounds ebullience
Vacate every fiendish introspection
Eschew evil, limited time have you here

Over the course of time,
Not again shall your presence remain

Then thy legacy speaks
In every village and municipal
Making such exit agonizing to all souls
Emit no evil, limited time have you here

Premium Member Where Joy Can Live On

The older I get, the faster time goes.
And things seem to scatter wherever wind blows.

I wish I could capture those moments I’ve cherished.
Replay and relive them; alas, they have perished.

They live in my mind, yes, those feelings so good,
but I want to re-FEEL them. If only I could.

I think what I’m saying is that memories
of moments most precious are like a soft breeze.

I feel them a bit, yet like wind, they blow past.
I can’t even make a MEMORY last!

I think of my mom and the party we planned
for her 80th birthday. The day turned out grand.

Her daughters and friends from far away came.
My mom was so stunned, we heard her proclaim:

The way heaven feels, it has to be this!
Tears filled her eyes as we gave her a kiss.

One day, all together, so happy we’ll be.
We’ll all be embraced so welcomingly.

Minutes of happiness will never be gone.
For time will be endless where joy can live on.

Bye, But You Still Live On In Me

You left too soon
To live by the moon
To dine with the sun
And smile with the morn
Am left now, with double heart
I know you left by me, your heart
I have now, double feelings
I have now, double emotions
Two voices, to enhance my screaming
And I'll accept that, and take care of it with caution
I will get angry twice as normal
Smile twice as normal
Love with such strength which doesn't exist in the world
Care so much, even if my heart can't afford
You'll live on in me
Forever am you, and you are me
I will answer to your name, I'll glee-
As you do glee, walk like you walk
Talk like you talk
smile like you do smile
live by your style
Because you are me, and am you

You May Be Gone But You Live On

You May Be Gone But You Live On.
With ever breath i take And every tear i shed.
Everytime i think of you and all the Great times we shared.
I try to be strong For this i know it's what you would want me to do.
I have to hold my head high and do my best ,
So one day we can be reunited in eternal life.
You May Be Gone But You Live On.
Through me
Through my Thoughts and my Memories and the Love we shared
Your in my heart and thats where you will stay
Forever and Always you will live on Through Me!!!!!!

I'M Going To Go Live On Mount Shasta

Well, I've never seen Sasquatch or any E.T.s
But I'm going to spend as much time as I please
With my maps and my compass amongst all the trees
And the caves that descend into dark mysteries.

There are stories out there I've been hearing for years
That would feed into many of people's worst fears.
But the way that I see it, the thrill of the chase
Supercedes any chance I'll end in a bad place.

So I'm driving this weekend from Southern L.A.
To the mountain that's hundreds of miles away.
If it turns out my car's been abandonned somewhere
Then I prob'ly wound up in some predator's lair.

If they send a search team there's no hope I'll be found
Though they look over millions of square feet of ground
For if even I haven't been beamed far away
I'll be hiding up there in my new home to stay.

Memory Will Live On

You had it tough you thought through rough
Then your body thought enough was enough
It made you become weak and numb now,
You're up there joining my mum.

You are free of the pain will never be
The same, wish it was all a dream, but
It's happened now there's nothing we
Can change no matter how we wish we can.

You were a loved man by many we just
Need to carry on,keep holding on, keep
Being strong won't be long until we meet
Again you were there to catch me when I fall.

You were just one call away to help me
When I was down, you knew how to turn
My frown upside down, there will always
Be a place in my heart for you.

Where your memory will stay and your
Spirit will live on because to me you are
Not gone your memory will live on.

                                                                       Written by Courtney Caven
