nordic light show
night of auroras
swirling fiery spirals spin
snow buntings call soft
purple green flashes
leap across the artic night ~
silver solitude
celestial outbursts
magnetic sparks pirouette ~
pink shadows on snow
scarlet reds cascade
crazy northern lights unleashed ~
ephemeral mauve
gossamer rainbows
jubilees of cosmic dust ~
nocturnal side show
rhapsodies of lights
aurora leaps star to star ~
dance of the artic

Sunset out my window
Shining on my screen
Casting a golden glow
Inside and outside.
I've seen shows where blinding light and raucous song held sway;
Have beheld brilliant displays of rockets on Independence Day!
But all such cacophonous sounds and lights devised by man,
Will never equate to the majestic shows provided since time began!
Ah, to witness the dawning of a new day, each sunrise so unique,
Tinting the snowy heights, revealing the grandeur of Pikes Peak!
Then, to view glorious sunsets as Old Sol settles in the west;
I like to think He painted them just for me - I am truly blessed!
The ebon sky comes alive at night putting on a brilliant show.
The resplendent moon floods the earth with its mellow glow.
Sparkling stars wink at me, inviting me to make a wish.
Aurora borealis lights the northern sky with each silent swish!
I'm in awe as thunder roars and lightning streaks across the sky.
After the storm, He'll reveal a gorgeous rainbow by and by!
I've heard the soothing hymn of water playing its melodic theme,
As it merrily flows along its way upon the meandering stream!
I've heard the haunting honk of geese on their southward wing,
And the robin's cheery serenade heralding the dawn of spring.
I cringe, having attended rowdy concerts, paying a hefty fee,
When I can watch God's fabulous show - and it's all for free!

moonbeams bathe the night
auroras shimmering bright
fireflies delight
Unique crackling sound
Branches glow across expanse
Thunderheads in east

Glamorous designs bright lights
capture the imagination,
Alice in wonderland
may be a hypothetical fixation
with the play of one’s hand,
The adrenaline rush to defeat all odds
Some gain momentum others aren’t too lucky
Loud cheers explode like bombs hitting their targets
Sad faces emerge as if unable to cash in
Devastating results as a result of not cashing in
Tearing apart bonds that were compounded
Loss of personal wealth
Looks dumbfounded
A smart individual stays well rounded
Stop, while you’re ahead
Your mind’s playing tricks on you
The worries in your eyes
and the southern direction of your smile
should be the sign to get up and walk away.
It’s all a light show
The man in the moon met the children of the sun
The stars grouped together and twinkled as one
The planets applauded as a comet flashed by
An astral reunion that lit up the sky
A nebula formed with hydrogen gases
Dancing neutrinos entertained the masses
The asteroids clashed when Venus came to call
A black hole appeared and enveloped them all
Comets preach beauty,
While they press on,
Through space,
The stars,
Speak of ancient history,
As they glow.

Moonlight's bright and eerie glow
shines down on earth and creatures below,
creating nature's dazzling light show.
Stars twinkle and sparkle in a graphite sky,
conversing with moon as he hangs nearby.
Moon's smiling face and stars' radiant light
are needed to brighten up the blackened night,
resplendent with visions of celestial delight.
Daylight comes and daylight goes
Such a vision to the eye
Nighttime comes and darkness grows
Beneath a canopied sky
Moonlight casts a subtle glow
Shadows creep across the ground
Behold now this wondrous show
Stars twinkle without a sound
Right before a new day's born
Vivid colors running deep
Dawn awakens to the morn
As it puts the stars to sleep
The spread of darkness,
Eliminating light.
The Stillness of life,
Not a surprise.
Echoes of peace ringing throughout,
Bouts of calmness hanging about.
A sense of fulfillment,
A sense of satisfaction,
But the one that strikes hard
A sense of being forlorn.
It affects your body,
It affects your mind,
And quite literally,
Drains you of all life.
But it doesn't end there...
Even with your life drained,
Your body dead
And your mind high,
The dark creeps upon you
To swallow you for all time.
You try to fight it,
You try to fight the dark...
Light sides with you
But not always, right?
Such is the time of night,
When the world sleeps
You rise.
You fight,
You fight for you life.
Cause what they don't see,
Is precisely what you fight.
Those demons inside you
Come clawing out at night,
But you fight
And stall for light.
But once you let that spark die
And the light disappears for life,
That is when the dark starts to show
To finally swallow you whole.
