"You showed me the courage and strength
to achieve all things- I hope you are proud."
by Poet
A simple man was he, one child of ten,
who lived and worked the farm with family.
But stardust fell on him- time and again
he hid away to read his books to see
what life could offer him and he'd give back,
if he would leave the farm to chase his star
with talents that would keep his dreams on track.
And so he left to raise his future’s bar.
Concerned for family and what he’d done-
one son of three now gone, and only two
remained to work the land beneath the sun;
but still, he followed stardust trails anew.
No school beyond eighth grade, he still pursued
production of the tube-based radio,
in nineteen-thirty, when its parts were crude
yet intricate- and he became a pro.
The stardust led him to a higher plane
whereby in time he owned a factory;
employed so many workers who would gain
good living in a time of poverty.
Oh, Dad, you hushed the stars- you did not fail.
With inner strength, you followed their bright glow,
to choose this path, that led you to prevail
and help so many people live and grow.
This gift of courage you have offered me
to follow and make use of dreams to share;
to let our stardust paths lead on to free
the will to seek the best on our life’s stair.

Ah, Divine influence, it has come to many, so they say,
as to their nameless or named God’s they do pray.
The light came to Carroll, he said he could see,
for raised by a Vicar at Christ church was he.
Dodgson was his surname an apt moniker
for he veers of from his father, made math his liqueur
Lewis was Charles tongue in cheek, he wore hats
and from his birth place, he transformed Cheshire cats.
Lewis Carroll wrote “Alice” sure, he was also Charles Dodgson
but who wrote the marrow, now that’s where the God comes!
Now, many men wrote the Bible or so we surmise
and the pages they garnered came in random sizes.
Yes they picked, they plucked, these men were right scary
and what do you know, left out the Book of Mary!
Now you modern readers just might take a note
the resemblance twixt Alice and Mary's no anecdote.
Dogdson, yes Carroll, knew Mary so it seems
yet, Alice sweet Alice is who came in his dreams.
Carroll clothed Alice and it's no surprise
that in Chapter 3:21, her dress he seeks dried!
For Alice, dear Alice, did not wish to die!
“She would catch a bad cold if she could not get dry.”
Carroll being the kind creator, he would
had the mouse read to Alice the driest of books.
Again and again, his benevolence is shown
when he sends Alice a rabbit to soon lead her home.
So, we are lead on in most delightful detail
to Chapter 4:15 where her flight is curtailed.
As Cain slew Abel, so the Queen beheaded prates.
Yet, she’d no power at all, over bodiless cats!
Now, Chapter 12 is truly my favorite, as you may surmise
Lewis Carroll has dreamed much of caterpillar size..
He dreamed a whole world full of goodness and villainy.
As anyone can see, men will see what they see,
and the Looking Glass has as much meaning to me
as the Bible may have to the Christians, let be.

People always forget every good thing you do…
Even after you go out of your way to help them..
With everything you have and everything you got…
Without thinking twice.. They will let you down…
We always meet someone for a reason…for the best or for the worst..
If they want use you... for their own selfish reasons..
Forgive them and forget them… Don’t hate them…
Don’t waste your time on them.. Just let that feeling go away..
If they want to test you…let them do it in their own way ….
But Pass the test in your own time... In your own way..
If they want to teach you… Learn the lesson well..
You get the chance to learn a new things again..
We are all humans.. We all have our mistakes…
No one is perfect.. No one is correct…no one is a saint…
If someone is not treating you right... let that feeling be away ..
If someone is not keeping their promises they made
Just remember promises are just are human words until is proven in anyway..
So start a fresh.. Hug the memory and say good bye ..
Wish them all the best in life with all your heart in anything come what may..
Then move on.. Just walk forward but please don’t look back...
It might hurt you.. it might stab you many times in the heart for everyday..
Tears will drop down countless times…
will feel like you are dying every moment passing by…
But you are going to be airtight…you are going to move again..
You can’t ever change what is done..
But you can always change what is to happen..
So with all the lessons.. Experience tears and sadness..
With all the mix of it ...Life will go on..it will always lead on..
So Trust me when I say…In time… everything is going to be alight...
and will make you stong to face it next time..!!

A lonely beam of yellow-white light,
carving a curve in the ink of the night,
upon the snow-burdened branches of pine,
standing still guard to the lord of the line.
The icy wind howls in the silence serene,
tempting the light to avert and careen,
off of the timber and iron ahead,
into the water, the darkness, the dead.
And the blizzard, it beckons, with comfort sublime,
whispering rest to the lord of the line.
For burdens oft carried can even bend steel,
and wheels are not able to lay flat or kneel.
The engine is tempted, it lets out a peal,
a horn most forlorn to the wind most surreal.
Yet as the sound leaps through the valley of ice,
there redounds an echo—once, twice, and thrice!
And under the frost-covered rivets, inside,
the fire burns hotter, and strengthens the hide.
A purpose so strong is written within,
that heard from without, can bring life again.
As noble as Atlas, the train carries on,
knowing some where to go, and much where it's gone.
Accepting the fate of bitterest wine,
following on as the lord of the line.
But there is a crowd in the carriage behind,
they have many eyes, and still they are blind.
Driven by torment and anger and spite,
to tear out their hearts and sleep in the night.
Too proud to sound the horn of lonely man's fear,
their fires die within them, drowned by a tear,
a droplet of brine they would never expose,
so they swallow it whole, like blood in death-throes.
And they choke and they sputter, bottling steam,
they rush to the brink, as if in a dream.
A nightmare of pain in a cold hinterland.
And they cast off their life by no one's command.
In fear of the trials, they surrender their hope.
They laugh at life's line and they sever the rope.
A road through the darkness might lead on to shine.
Do you dare to take it, O Lord of the Line?
I look back fondly on this poem. Though I have grown in my ability to deviate from very structured poetry, I see my natural tendencies toward order when I look at this piece. I think PS drives me to explore new themes, structures, and ideas that will expand my abilities as a poet, and offer insight into my life outside of poetry.

If I follow my faith and you yours
Yours as mine teaches only love
Love one another and live in peace
Peace to pursue happiness wherever;
Wherever you go, light a candle
Candle of warm love and peace
Peace with people of many creeds
Creeds, their cultures and values;
Values to respect the sanctity of life
Life to lead on a path to harmony
Harmony of all mankind with nature
Nature to nurture the God’s gift;
Gift of flora, fauna and the firmament
Firmament and its laws and its vastness
Vastness to encompass the eternity
Eternity encased in a grain of sand.

foot deep stuck in the muddy waters of society....
head still high.
throat choked with the monotonous choruses of life...
voice still firm.
arms twisted,bend and broken.........
determination still unmatched.
betrayed again and again by destiny......
faith still unquestioned.

Blank verse
With virtues rare and true, a person stands,
Their character like gold, untarnished bright,
With grace and kindness held in both their hands,
They shine as beacons in the darkest night.
A heart that's filled with love and empathy,
And eyes that see the good in every soul,
They greet the world with cheerful energy,
And make each person feel they're truly whole.
Their patience and their wisdom, like a guide,
Will lead on to a path of joy and peace,
And with their strength and courage by our side,
All fears and doubts will slowly begin to cease.
Oh, blessed be the ones with noble heart,
Whose character traits are truly works of art.

Love’s All I Need!
Winter snows melt away
Awakens sleeping things
Mother nature starts to play
And I too with my swing
Cause golf comes out in Spring!
Amid ablooming flowers
At Master’s, golf’s big scene
Did golf for several hours
Living out my dreams
To play Augusta’s greens!
Three stroke lead on seventeen
Victory now was nigh
When did my chip careen
Into water ‘twas nearby
Off a Monarch butterfly!
Short putt to win the match
All grew quiet, not a word
But victory, it was snatched
As startled when I heard
Loud screeching from a bird!
Golf’s such a cruel cruel game
I've given up thereof
At tennis taking aim
Won’t need no blasted club
And tennis least has love!

Leader Of The Pack
Impossible to lead if you weren't born within a seed.
Some structural integrity, maybe a position indeed?
Did anyone say you were in line?
This is the only way you must travel incline
Question? Have you been a follower before?
Then you'll know this; Face landing at the Exit Door.
Being born to lead many where there is so few,
Your first task should easy if you want to.
Lead On, passed the great white lights
Passed anyone's annoyance or indulging insights.
It's your job to lead barbarically through.
Checkpoint, your goals are posted too.
The program already can be installed on your hand.
All you need to do is yell out a command.
It's End Game lead on and be true,
This is not a test, it's a life meant for you.

Bio
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the sky,
Santa's reindeer sped bringing toys to the world's small fry.
"On Dasher! On Dancer and Prancer! On Cupid and Vixen!
Lead on Rudolph! Speed it up there Donner and Blitzen!"
Rudolph knew the routine since he had led Santa for years,
Cruising o'er Australia, Merry Olde England and sunny Algiers!
Suddenly, Santa saw strange sights he'd never encountered before!
Whizzing past him were dozens of satellites and space junk galore!
But faithful Rudolph was alert and said after another near miss,
"Never mind, boss! Trust me and hang on! I'll get you through this!"
Santa clutched his toy bag, hunkered down and closed his eyes,
Relying on the red-nosed one to guide him safely through the skies.
They made it alright and Santa visited every isle, city and nation,
Spreading cheer to all who awaited his visit with great anticipation!
Santa brought presents to all good little girls and boys worldwide,
Thanks to his magic sleigh and reindeer with Rudolph as his guide!

They said a funny Latin word,
they said that you were dead,
yet merrily you wagged your tail
when I took you to the vet.
You were not kind to chickens,
as well the neighbors know,
or come to that, to ducks and geese,
and yet I loved you so.
Oh, to recall the bygone days
we roamed and roved together,
sometimes when snow lay all about,
sometimes o'er hills of heather.
Our walkies to the liquor store,
our excursions to the bar,
and all those times you led me home
when I couldn't use the car.
At night, I swear, an angel
looms in the purple sky,
and on a gently twinkling leash
you, Lady, lead on high.

Elegy
Colors could not have flown much prouder,
the voice of freedom not spoken louder,
but pride and joy have always sung
of flowing blood, of purity, and courage flung
both far and wide throughout the world,
a banner preened with stars unfurled.
Life veins soak the ground with red
from heroes both alive and dead
and noble thoughts of purest white
lead on with grace throughout the night;
but true blue courage marks the field
where strength and valor never yield.
Yet present eyes now see the trampled dues;
three colored speech in red and white and blue
beneath the boots of those who mark
their lives with freedoms stolen in the dark.
Their freedom earned the right to say
in gathered heat another day.
But freedom lost, ignored, or gone
cannot regain which deaths have won.
Faults can be raised, wrongs come up to the fore,
and voices silenced as they even up the score.
This tattered glory cannot stand by
and leave the single patriot to die.

Food nourishes the prayerful and the blind.
This day no mourning is proper,
but tilted.
Streaming video is no comfort
when the cold howls outside.
Where are you going with this?
Lead on lead on, you farcical clown.
Makeshift shanties will suffice
when cold is not remorse,
and video streams into the window.
Bring up a zephyr from the south
to ease this chill.
My, my sweet prince
who sings to heaven—
Merrily we dance all day
then freeze at night.
The cold is evermore,
evermore.
Tying bubbles to a trampoline
is hopeless, remorseless.
Evermore they sing, and nobody
knows the proper tune.
Exhume the day from night
And peek through the slit of dawn.
The cold is evermore,
evermore.
To face it will crust the cheek
like ice
And bruise the spine with grace,
But my Amen is fixed, terminal.
Jesus will write you in his book
with blood-ink,
And we must drift that way
like a leaf blowing
in the cold wind--
heartbroken.
