The Friar's Heel beside the way
tilting toward the stones arrayed
at Stonehenge where the Devil played
and tossed the monolith that day.

Zareba formed of massive stones,
encircled 'round the Devil's throne;
but on the meadow Heaven owned
transparent light of Angels shone.

Back to the cave, the gate to Hell
they chased the Devil - in he fell;
the burning hovel where he dwells,
and all the bells of Heaven knelled.

How admirable the war on high;
now from the light in solstice sky
and Angel's love he could not hide,
nor faith and hope could not deny.

The Gift, a bounty all can share
was left for us forever there;
to all mankind - to all who care
to lift their hearts in peaceful prayer.

A Winter's Tale

The time of growth and change is done and past.
From thaw to frost activity prevailed,
And change came often, often coming fast,
Till finalizing Fall all toil curtailed.
With wintertime’s quiescence, come at last,
The old year’s final breath has been exhaled.
And now all nature’s quiet, all now still,
All bedding down, preparing for the chill.

The other seasons garner all the praise:
From sprouting Spring, through Summer’s fruiting fields,
To Autumn’s vibrant hues and bracing days,
Each one its own unique enchantment wields.
But Winter’s coming oftentimes dismays,
So cryptic are the blessings that it yields--
   Yet unexpected beauty will abound
In many forms both subtle and profound.

Then gales gust frore as frigid flakes bespeak
The wintry depths which grip both heath and grange:
The rime-bound land is frozen hard, and bleak—
Yet bleakness has its beauty, harsh and strange.
And what seems dead or dormant soon will wreak
What surely counts as nature’s deepest change:
The imminence of warmth’s returning breath…
The immanence of life in seeming death.

For springtime’s semelparity is fate,
As sure as tide or twilight, and as strict.
It burgeons and it blooms, but soon or late
It goes to seed and dies. The clock has ticked
And knelled the midnight hour — but don’t berate
The seed for its mortality -- predict
Instead the miracle which will ensue:
That out of silence, life is born anew.

The Black Cat

The sky is stark, the air is cool and still
The black cat’s run, the birds unfold all day
I sit down here and with my totty pray
Ye cast o’ foolish thoughts, you raped my will.
We’ve each enraged the bureaucratic mill.
Oh frigid purse, I never meant to pay!
The sky ‘s a-spark, the air is warm and shrill
The saturnine demoted knelled their way
With this feathered pounce, my sample quill,
I cite the cheque and date it for next May.
Oh, tit for cat, the tiger’s bed ‘s astray.
Yer life is settled by a harlot’s will
The sky ‘s a shark, the air is sharper still.

Greed Wins

Greed Wins

Fate fetched them crushed in a crash, faint in hopes
broken limbs, sober spirit, side by side
One by the window, the other beside .
They lay in room pale blue, chlorine chores.
Months together, movements knelled, they lay forth,
new found friends , out ‘a window small, one pried,
Mouthed beauties there, to keep his pal’s smile bright
Other but heard, prayed, at this fortune swore,

His pal be slain, he be blessed with sights
outside. Lo! Next dark day snatched the good soul
The lone peer blessed. Soon, he sent his eyes
Outdoors, on an old bleak wall, nothing more
Drained in spirit he cursed his greed wry
“Beautifully lied ...he kept me alive”

Mandela

FNB Stadium, Johannesburg, on Tuesday, December 10

A tear silently crawled down my cheek
As eulogies fall and despair rise to the peak.
I see the crowd, the leaders, the well-wishers
Here they are gathered like never before-

Dark clouds have gathered in the East-
Old mounds overturn by the leash.
Dusty bones stir in their pale graves
While the bells hoarsely knell-

Told have been the tales
Gone have been the sales
of rights and freedoms
Through the fight of that man

twenty-seven lunar days
had his face been hidden pale
For the whip's caress
And the whiteman's address.

The troubles of the world
The weeps of the people-
The tears that baked their cheeks
He stood brave, conquered and freed

the newspapers, the radio:
"Hero dies aged 95, after a long illness."

the remarks of the people:
"Was he made for death? Our Mandela!"

Dark clouds gathered in the East-
Old mounds overturned by the leash.
Dusty bones stirred in their pale graves
While the bells hoarsely knelled-

He freed a humanity
He took his brother's strokes
Bled for his brother's locks
And aged in his selflessness and empathy.

Dark clouds gather in the East-
Marking that little patch of the Earth
Where has disappeared
Earth's greatest child, Mandela.

Candlelight Dinner

I planned a romantic dinner for us, that beautiful night,
alone within our little world, she, me and our candlelight.
I had an inner feeling, that day could change my life,
she might be the one I was dreaming, as my future wife

I was waiting for the day, its our date,
hoping she might be my perfect mate.
It's like a dreamland, love is in the air,
we were together, as if we don't care.

As we met my mind was completely blank for a while,
all we could do is simply exchange our smile.
We both had lot to say but unknown about the way to start,
words were blocked with hidden feelings within our heart.

Complete silence, she may be afraid, so was I
trying to find words for me in her eye
To comfort her from that shyness
and to break that silence

I made an effort to initiate conversation by complimenting
cracking jokes and sometimes flirting
But her words were limited, thought it didn't work at all
I had to make her day a very special

With a sip, bottle of chilled wine
an idea struck on my mind
On my mobile, I played a song
then nothing could go wrong

I asked her the pleasure to dance?
she smiled, don't wanna miss that chance
she looked at my eyes, I held her near,
light polite with love and care.

Expressing our feelings freely that we want to share,
I was lost in her love and laughter in the air.
I said "wanna end this friendship and start something new
I can't deny my heart's feeling, I really do love you."

I knelled down on the ground and offered the ring
with her positive smile our love got wings
Now, I don't need to live my life alone,
I am there, in your soul I found my home,

Just a Blink

Whisperers of sweet words clanging in her mind
Eyes so weary, environs were the scattered love letters
A night came, when a gentleman decided to pledge on her troth
As she walked in, rippling was the tailored red dress she wore
Just a blink, down he knelled, grinning to her
And then with his timid heart, he opened that tiny container
Seeing that shiny medal, enamoured she felt
Keenness clogged up her mind, ere she said 'yes'
Her heart trenched, for his love to trickle
Kindred they soon became, as if yore they met
Most nights, summoned was the waiter, that know their favourite
Her smiles of gratitude, which lifted his spirits to love her greatly
Anon enough, the couple endowed with the most precious gift
A dear heat little girl, her beauteous face, eyes like her mother

God Gave His Very Best Gift of Love

As I memo...
It was Mother's Day...
A day to Honor All Mother's
We went to Church...
Sat with my daughter in the pew...
Roses were given...
to Grandma's, Mother's, All Women too...
With the choice I chose the very best...
Red Red Rose...Pastor smiled at me...
Every year... he knows
as it was... time to leave...
Pastor smiled in said to me...
What a Red Rose... She will Love it
I smiled and said...Yes
For I want to give her the very best...
Then went out... down the street...
Knelled down...Laid the Red Red Rose...
On her grave...In then said "I Love You... Moma"
Here's my very Best... Gift of Love

This reminded me... Just Like God Gave...Us...
Out of His Love... His Very Best... Gift of Love
His Only Begotten Son... Jesus
For Us...All given a choice to choose...
Choose Him... Jesus... Our Divine Christ...
Become Born-again... Receive Eternal Life...
With Him... You'll Never Loose...
For God gave... Us...
Very Best... Gift of Love....

Thank You... Father in Heaven...
For The Greatest Gift.. of LOVE... Ever done...
Giving Us...The Very Best... Gift of Love...
Jesus Christ... God's Only Begotten Son...

George W. Bush's War

These iron bells they toll for them
In George W. Bush's war.
The fallen brave whose lives have end.
These iron bells they toll for them.
Each peal that's knelled we all condemn
the senseless deaths we can't ignore.
These iron bells they toll for them
In George W. Bush's war.

Disaster Zone--Never Know--When--Where --Natual Disasters--May Hit

Last night
I dreamt
Dream-- disaster Zone

As I saw in the distance
twas dark within the sky
Clouds many black as night
you couldn't tell
until..
Lighting strikes..
then beheld light
Far in distance..
there was
lighting striking every where
coming from
a center point in the air
as I could see..
clouds rolling above
the ground
twas a huge circle..
Darkness within of rolling clouds
Then as light sparked in all directions
I saw then.. the Black reflection
it was Huge... I mean Huge!!!
and it was traveling towards my town..
I saw in the distance.. houses.. trees cars
Flying all around.. it was a Tornadoe
Huge as like-big as a football field..
I couldn't believe my eyes..
For tis So real..

Then the sirens went off..
I was called to go..
Many people and I
helping others to know
This Huge Tornadoe was coming

But Truly What do you do???
That huge of a Tornadoe
Coming toward you???
For you can not run..
Not quick enough
You can not hide..
From such Destructive stuff
As I grabbed my family..
Friends too..
as many people.. came
Tryed to get out of the way..
of path of this Huge Tornadoe's Wrath..

As I awoke and I found
Twas just a dream..
Night-mare.. to Extremes

I knelled down.. on the ground
and Prayed.. Thanking God
For tis was Just a dream

Thanking God.. for all my family
friends --For everyone all around

Twas Just a dream..
But What if???
I mean
Look at all those
whom may lose their lifes
If something like this did happen
Look at those whom don't know
Our Savior Jesus Christ
Where then.. if they lose their lives
Where then.. happens to their souls
where they be to spend Eternity???

Come to Jesus.. While there is still time
For you never know..,
I don't know why?
I had such a dream
But Dreams do have meanings
For Everything

Last Memories of a Warrior

Aging jagged skin gave him depth in perceiving eyes
Ridged hands defined he was a man of work
Seldom had he spoken and when he did he uttered wisdom
He smelled a storm from a thousand miles away
He peacefully sat on the withered porch gently swaying in his wooden chair
Played melodic tunes of his blues harp which complemented sounds of the tempest
He was a man of time

Mistakenly I witnessed him at an undisturbed time of vulnerability
Tears flowed from his enlightened eyes dampening the tobacco stained shirt
Mesmerized of sorrow I was seized by an inescapable plague of tears
tears halted of time

Minutes later he entered,
Hands of labor, body of strength, and eyes of wisdom,
What’s wrong he asked, I had no answered
I didn’t know shrugging my shoulders
He knelled down on aching joints
Wisdom whispered from his lips to my ears for the last time
“Even Warriors cry James”
“Even Warriors cry”
