No larger than a grain of rice,
her face is forming; mouth, a slice.
Her heart, a tube, begins to beat;
at one month, things are imprecise.
An inch now from her head to feet.
Eyes, fingers, toes: not yet complete.
Her neural tube, well on its way.
At two months, things look pretty sweet.
Four inches long, an ounce to weigh;
miscarriage risk drops every day.
All parts are present, there to see;
at three months, fingers grasp and splay.
Her nails and hair seen easily;
eyelid, eyebrow, eyelash agree.
Four months now and six inches long,
the ultrasound clear: she’s a she.
Her muscles build; she’s getting strong.
You thought you felt her; you’re not wrong.
She’s covered with lanugo hair.
At late month five, she hears your song.
Her fingerprints? Whorls present there.
The eyelids part; eyes open, stare.
When she hiccups, you may observe.
Month six births: viable with care.
Refinements to sensory nerves,
reacts to light, from pain will swerve.
She rarely is reserved or still;
month seven, and this gal’s got verve!
At five pounds now, she kicks at will.
Lungs immature, but they can fill.
Eight months, all sharpens, gets refined;
You’re on alert, you know the drill.
It’s nine months now; she’s quite confined.
Delivered, breathes in, and unwinds.
Flesh of your flesh, though quite her own;
Distinctly her, you’re intertwined.

Morning shadows hang empty silence outside my window
Witnessing to mistakes beyond the curtain
While sleepless nights drudge deeper holes in my heart
Your eyes gaze in my direction searching for an answer
Our empty love seeps through the cracks of my searching heart
As I'm waist deep in fear caused by my own selfish mistakes
Blindly letting go to grasp the empty air, I find myself drowning in another love
Boldly suffocating my heart to release secret desires within myself
As we interlock the beautiful connection within our souls
The unblemished sky puts me to rest in the arms of peace

Begin with something positive;
no need to start out negative.
A writer needs encouragement;
it feeds their ego nourishment.
And what is strong about the piece?
Is there a spot that needs some grease?
Or did it flow like brooks in spring?
Is there a line that really rings?
Can you suggest some helpful hints
that act like after-dinner mints?
And did their writing make you cry?
Or, perhaps, it made you sigh.
Did you giggle? Did you laugh?
Do you want their autograph?
Was there a phrase that kept you hooked?
Or was the subject overcooked?
Was your perception so engaged
you couldn't wait to flip the page?
Above all else, try to be kind.
Writer, reader intertwined.

Two hearts intertwined, yet divided by time.
If I could, I would take both our hearts hold them together as they beat forever....
watch as they mate, watch as they inflate, pulsate...
one word could never reiterate the state of what I would love to create

My soul called to you,
leaving its intent
in the wind
to find you
on your heather enshrouded isle.
My soul screamed for you
and over you came,
grabbing hold of it
and smoothing it’s scars.
My soul cried for you
but….
now….
it just craves more.
My soul was dying without you,
now I’m complete,
being comforted
but still desiring your touch.
My soul was rotting without you,
you cut away the infection
and every night
I feel your presence
in my arms.
My soul still hunts
but only for words
to engrave on the moon,
filled with my love for you.
My soul is now complete,
for I’ve found you
and I’ll wait
to have your head resting
upon my chest every night.
My soul still howls for you
and you’ve answered.
The moon rises
by our connection
and I hear you
call me in the night.

A forbidden love lost.
One i was truly never destined to find.
Soul searching rendered me blinded for a small period of time.
So two forlorn hearts then became intertwined.
I quenched this thirst wholeheartedly.
One that was never mine.
Holding on tight, so the feeling does not subside.
It engulfed my mind.
Two hearts Intertwined.
If not forever, for a brief moment in time.

Intertwined, like natures tree
Lighting strikes, there is debris
Years go by, we heal and grow stronger
Our roots run deep, in life defined

The sun,
warm and peaceful,
bringer of soulful light.
So serene,
songbirds and autumn leaves,
the glorious beauty in sight.
Dark clouds,
hidden shrouds,
building in sky above.
Rain,
life's tears,
falling on things we love.
Ominous sky, before my eyes,
my soul begins to shake.
A silence so loud, dead calm around,
shelter inside I must take.
Minutes tick by, as ominous sky,
can no longer contain within.
The deafening sound, of silence profound,
the storm's wrath will now begin.
Quiet your mind,
allow it to find,
massive waves building on the sea.
As time slows down,
waves sound compounds,
as it rises beyond belief.
What starts as dull roar,
is now no more,
as it grows with vigorous might.
It rumbles so loud,
as it shakes the whole ground,
and instills a new realm of fright.
A breeze all around,
that came with this sound,
grows strong with intensity.
This force now bends trees,
and annihilates leaves,
as it breathes its ferocity.
Like the short minutes the storm,
snuffed out peaceful light,
too fast to comprehend.
With a blinding white flash,
and a thunderous clash,
the storm comes to a violent end.

I missed that feeling when we touched so much,
I crashed into you, full throttle
led by my desire to feel our bodies generate heat.
My skin craved the warmth of your breath,
ached for the feel of your hands
searching my body for hidden treasures.
I love the way it felt when our bodies intertwined,
our shapes and structures distorting
as our bodies blended into one.
The beauty of our affection
would put all lovers to shame
at their inability to emulate a love so honest.

Souls Intertwined Sonnet VII
Is there a reason I belong with you?
Because I’m sure that is where I belong.
I’m not certain why, only that I do;
I both believe and know, I can’t be wrong!
Since my soul existed before my birth,
It seemed to recognize you when we met.
Since our souls existed before the Earth,
There must be feelings our soul can’t forget
Assuming that I really have a soul,
Then it’s clear that it’s all entwined with yours.
Then my one and only unique life’s goal:
Our endless on-going forever-mores
So let’s go walk through life into the skies,
Never saying, never hearing, goodbyes.

Sonnet
We, have reached our end.
I, will not pretend.
There is, no more love to defend.
How sad, cause we started as friends.
This heartbreak will never mend.
It's time, to draw the line.
In the beginning, this was not our design.
Oh! how your true colors shine.
Now, I can see you have no spine.
Many years, of my life, stolen.
Many words, that should've been left unspoken.
The anger was outspoken.
Our bond, forever broken.
Never, in your right mind.
Your negativity, always ill-timed
So the happiness declined.
And, my heart became blind.
Intertwined were our souls, now they begin to unwind.

As the darkness of... this day unfolds,
and rebukes the strangeness within.
My heart sinks low, as this story will show,
how despair, rage and fear can begin.
This day starts calm,
alive with bird song,
as the sun shines gloriously bright.
I relax in our home,
with my love by my side,
colored speckles dance from glass sunlight.
Mother cooks dinner,
sweet aroma takes flight,
our doggies all gather around...
With a sickness so real,
from an eeriness we feel,
a darkness steals light with cold sound.
I step outside, to open my mind,
to the eerie dark sight before me.
Nothing inside, could begin to describe,
reflections frightened eyes had seen.
