to capture the true
essence of what lies
behind my eyes
create a palette of
black pastels portraying
the shadow that follows like death
a constant visitor to my d o o r

nobody knows the
story of my heart
an artificial anecdote of
a l l i t e r a t i v e a n g s t
bleeding in metaphorical
ink stained tear drops
d r o w n i n g childhood
sanity in shallow rivers of
bittersweet s o r r o w

fate is a fragile wrecking ball
which has become too hard to love
soul craves to be free under horizons
of tangerine temptations
but all I find is twilight with
a filthy feldgrau sky
fatigue imitates the
last breaths of a
b r o k e n b u t t e r f l y
as 'spirit' becomes imprisoned
in sinister silence
yearning to sleep
forever in an unfolding
labyrinth hidden from the
golden colours of the sun

this smile cannot
continue to pretend
kismet is a
crimson clandestine
cursed t a l i s m a n
speech is my harbinger
of d o o m

miraculous ink
flutters in my pen of
p u r i f i c a t i o n
yet not all verses are
meant to be understood
cathartic martyrdom
sounds like poetry
but there is no remedy
for magenta manifestations
so I curse the poetic limerence
of my tongue suppressing
effervescent emotions
inside a garnet treasure
chest of blood-soaked
bruised and battered
invisible inflictions

I'm a mute masterpiece
drained from the pain
i told the Grim Reaper
i'm not afraid anymore
of all the lives we lived
this is my favourite
but he just smiled
then cried asking

"is this our last goodbye"

Spirit In the Flute

I walk an already trodden path...
Uncertain, of future lives that lie ahead

But, in faith I close these earthly Ojibwa eyes
In trill, thus, I hear the old ways in your presence amidst Chinook winds
As harmonic they play across the plains, from sacred astral pipes
Mimicking cricket songs that echo abstract out of the season's last autumn mist

I also hear your fifes in the rustle of the leaves, rising into writhe
And almost see your spirit aura as it accompanies the Algonquian breeze
Ancient ghost of proud, but now lost upon a dying nation tribe
Your music from beyond is narrations of a mystical language nature speaks

Sweeping thrush calls, chirps through weeping willow weeps,
Unto past September sounds, beating down on war drum clouds, of thundering maelstrom claps
And babbling brooks going on and on until narrowing creaky creeks
Alas, whooper wills warning and morning loons mourning, hidden amidst the swaying grass

When I see you, I imagine spectral legends majestic high across horizon's sky
Snowy silhouettes in headdress, drifting in flowing rainbow crowns
And with the night, I see you in my mind dance as the "Will-Ó-the-wisp" just might
Then, my body shivers from the distance, where your flute imitates the cry of the lone coyote's sound

As for all of your Mishomis (grandfather) traditions, I accept there is a greater essence
Kindred I am, son to your spirit and without partition from an Ojibwa eye
And I stand here staunch in cattail marshes, pondering my place in ancestral questions
Now, your answers again begin to play upon the wind, but this time traveling through the November... Whispers on needles of the pine

I walk an already trodden path...
But, each new step before me keeps this culture alive...

Premium Member The Raven of Baptism River

Far as my eyes can see, 'till lake touches sky,
Earth beats as one; Poplar, Jack Pine & Birch all
Sing with the White Throated Sparrow, our Planet's
Love songs.

Sloping (5'canopy) an ancient Deer trail along the
Baptism River (flowing into Lake Superior) I startle a
Buck during his midday Nap. Soundlessly lifting up,
He elegantly bounces away.

From above, a dark object swoops in, Brother
Raven is curious, (always a sentinel for Hawks
And Bald Eagles). I stand motionless, willing my
Neo-Cortex to flood my aura with peace; as I
Extend my arm and gently imitate the Raven's
Welcome call, a double-beat "Caw caw"...I am
Here Raven, I am me". My heart quickens as
He alights on my arm, talons gripping my
Forearm gently, but firmly. Cocking my head,
I look deeply into his obsidian eyes to his
Soul...he imitates me, tilting his head in unison,
letting my gaze enter. Images from high race
Thru my mind...the rushing river...undulating
Tree tops...in an instant, we have become
Brothers of the wild, as I softly shake my arm
To set him free.
"I am me, Brother Raven, I am me"

He thinks he's a real man

I know a few guys
who won't look you in the eyes
they wear a great disguise.... yeah

maybe you know them too

All the fancy gold he buys
real work he never tries
spends his days inventing lies
got no time for goodbyes...

but, he's ...gonna end up alone!

Chorus
His heart is stone, his heart is stone
he imitates all he's ever known
so many seeds he's sown
he's a child tho full grown
He doesn't have a real plan...
and he thinks he's a real man.

Himself, he always tries to please
he only likes her, when she's on her knees
he doesn't like it when you tease
he only loves her when she agrees

but, he's gonna end up all alone

His point of view he does enforce
his language is real coarse
he screams until he's hoarse
he's surprised with the divorce

yeah, he's gonna end up alone

Chorus
His heart is stone, his heart is stone
he imitates all he's ever known
so many seeds he's sown
he's a child tho full grown
He doesn't have a real plan...
and he thinks he's a real man.

His heart is stone, his heart is stone
he imitates all he's ever known

he's a child tho full grown
He doesn't have a real plan...
and he thinks he's a real man.

yeah, thinks he's a real man
yeah, thinks he's a real man

Premium Member Genius Catty

Catty is my genius cat
Who stopped chasing naughty rat
She prefers reading good books
Down at her favorite nooks.

She always wears eye glasses
To read more stories, not less
Sitting calmly in her poise
In a place far from noise.

Sometimes she crosses her legs
Don’t disturb her, I do beg
If you want to read with her
Stay and slump at one corner.

While reading, she drinks coffee
But she prefers hot green tea
So conscious of her diet
I’ll just smile and keep quiet.

Catty imitates grandma
Her ways are felines’ saga
Doing great jobs not to impress
But for wisdom and success.

The Game of Life

CHESS GAME
Chess, friend imitates life
and every movement has its time
and to everything the soul gives lair
and all body incorporates ...

           QUEEN
Always unusual,
vain...
Eccentric
and singular
her force causes
noise ... men
fight and die
for her with
immense pride.
            BISHOP
Ingenious creature,
infinitely sagacious,
walks on winding routes
leading to the enemy not peace,
but cruel death not glorious ...
Fearing no harm
your choice, it makes ...

              PAWN
They are fools, poor pawns,
are useless to themselves,
but dramatically useful
to their bosses ...
They fight without knowing
to which they are doomed,
do not die for wanting so,
but because they are doomed ...

               HORSE
He knows how to fight, in a peculiar way ...
seems to walk without paths,
so do not walk straight ...
Jumps masterfully over
enemies, and with dexterity
and wisdom runs away
of all danger

                 Towers
Watch the ends,
all...
Never lose
the bid of
watch...
So with
security can,
the kingdom ensure ...
But if the tower
if neglected,
surveillance
will be lost
it will not matter

           KING
The king knows how to be
arrogant,
but knows
to be
audacious...
Do you know that the
enemy is evil
dangerous...
The good king
makes war,
but try to preserve
their soldiers ...
Being cautious,
knows that losing
the focus will have final
disastrous...

If it is to play, hold the reins,
double the fear, ride the board,
as if you had ridden himself ...
And remember ... chess is
the game of life ...!

The Cat

When the cat imitates
                  people and put on shoes,
                  there is a house party
Mr Puss in Boots emulates ...

                  When the cat plays
                  with skeins of wool,
                  makes a pretty mess
                  at grandma's school ...

                  When the meek cat
                   takes all his milk,
                   pleases his owner Beth
delights his owner Mr. Rilke ...

                   This innocent cat,
                   don't eat chocolate
                   and don't bark either ...
                   Do not eat nougat,
but loves to eat fish ,,,!

It's cute, so cute, it's cute
                  so fluffy this cat ,,,!

He Banned Chairs

HE BANNED CHAIRS

Looks like we will sit on the floor.
There is a new leader with a big boat to flaunt.
When we move outside there are crosses along the road.

Scare tactic.
He’s loaded with guns and an atomic twister.
Everyone will be off guard when he imitates nature.

That’s how we got the last flood.
He has come to kill us all.
This is a pretty lively waiting room.

Deflate his ego and you will get shot.
Then you only have two options
be quiet or loud.

Faith over reason
Bring guns and a reason to smile
the situation is going to get messy.

Don’t ask or tell
          I will
He placed people
        In a box

Politics are a control ritual, good
	for confusing the public.
It’s not about bloodshed. Business

men use violence because it’s visual.

Silly Lilly

Once there was a miss by name Lilly,
Imitates to make others appear silly.
Pent-up feeling unleashed,
my pain of rejection eased.
Bloody Lilly, no good grief. Very very silly!

Random Steppe

Jim-I-Nator,

chase creator,

imitates a song,

recreates a major,

sail's you to saviors,

reinvents the round,

reelects the tasers,

summons it in a bong...

Bites it right out
just like the Chong.

Waits in a mile-
just for the hump,

butts heads with the viral-
just like the slums,

does a downward spiral like a swivel,

dials 911 to spy on individuals,

random as hail in July,

hits like nails-
out on the lake in the sky-
just where I had wanted to die.

Like a Laker in a coat,

like a disastrous danger running wild and remote-

just like Ebeneezer Scrooge with a check book and the holy ghost,

just like Jesus on an electric motorcycle,
flying with angels-

jimin' with a bagel,

rotating at an angle,

fly's in the sky like a needle near the eye!

Random as hail in July!

Eats prunes,

and then pray's not to die!

Greets his shrooms with venom,

beats his moods with a pendulum,

hears through stethoscopes when he's endin' the run,

goes to the gym to have a little fun!

Waits for the time to stand still,

eats all the cops in between him and his pillz!

Says **** jail!

My ******** is a nail!

**** being out on bail!

I'll still be here until the killer is unveiled!

Art of Life

Is it that art imitates life?
Or does life imitate art?
If it's the latter, then my life
has been Expressionist from the start.
It may not be aesthetic to you
but there is an enigmatic grace
that stems from the subtle remnants
of pain, permanently etched in my face

You may find my art to be grisly,
truth be told I can't blame you
people condemn that with they don't compare
and for that I can hardly shame you.
If I said graffiti was aesthetic
and you were to tell me that it's not
how would you denounce the value
of the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat?

Art has no set shape or form
the beholder decides its appeal.
Your inability to grasp art's allure
doesn't make the beauty any less real.
A lack of pain can render you sightless,
baffled by struggle and strife.
So I see why you can't realize
the marvel in the art of my life.

Premium Member "water Lily"

I am a water Lily,
my petals are quite frilly.

I thrive on abundant waters,
the flowing streams, my AORTAS.

Great beauty in flowing scene,
planted in life’s flowing stream.

My nectar is quite neat,
my honey dew is sweet.

It is in April and May,
broad leaves on water I lay.

When I prepare to pray,
in nature’s usual way.

Being love’s Lily of life,
manifesto of love not strife.

Having variety of colors,
love imitates no others.

Please enjoy my view,
my beauty I give to you.

I sway in the gentle breeze,
with awesome beauty, I please.

From a world of useless strife,
come and quiet your very life.

Come and sit by my side,
on my river so very wide.

And let your conscience awake,
love’s nature made no mistake.

Love only made me for you,
as truth, I am as skies so blue.

Nature’s awesome retreat,
numerous days to repeat.

Petals of beauty quite neat,
a natural of love’s feat.

KATAUTA:

Her: eyes brown, like choc’late,
swooning like the stars unglued —
              yours mad as the moon

Him: pistachio eyes —
the gaze of a soulful cat
               sea swept in zephyr

Her: swallowed by the pond —
               our shadow imitates moves
               of tender years

Him: silk like a spotlight,
the moon pouring forth its milk —
               you invite my thirst

Her: sway of tropical
palms, your cradled in my arc —
                hammock’s impression

Him: blow kiss from purple
lips, the pitons like your breasts
                and the valley split

Together: laughing and weeping
                present immortality —
                generosity christened
