Best Idea Poems

Hahahahaha I Have No Idea What To Title This

help mrs. muse is gone and my mind is shooting blanks
my friend called inspiration is trying to walk the plank

motivation just married mr lazy
and confidence started acting really crazy

cousin common sense is on vacation out of town
and aunt intelligence is nowhere to be found

uncle rational is at the casino gambling his life away
and my best friend happiness never wants to stay

my neighbor opportunity doesnt knock on my door anymore
and my girlfriend love is really just a whore

my partner pride is always full of himself
and sister sympathy is busy with someone else

grandpa wisdom is smart enough not to say a word
and grandma compassion is seen but never heard

the only friends that ever come to town
is anger and disgust and they always hang around

my high school sweat heart infatuation doesnt really call
and my childhood friend imagination doesnt exist at all

Premium Member My Idea of Heaven

After a long and stressful day
Running the bath and adding scented oils
Watching the bubbles foaming and frothing
Climbing into the deep soapy suds
Sensational scent of lavender rises
Relaxing in the steamy atmosphere
Blissfully all my troubles melt away
Drying myself in a soft warm fluffy towel
Climbing into freshly laundered sheets
Sheer bliss!

They just don't know how to apologize, do they?
Giving something that's prone to finger bleeds
and even chunkier thighs.
I'll give you the Golden Rule:
with situations like this
it is sure to apply.
An idea I propose (if I may be so bold):
give me a week without seeing your face
and a day without hearing your voice.
Heartbroken women everywhere agree
that it truly is the safest choice!
I don't need a second bouquet
or another box of sweets so chocolatey.
Seeing you suffer for what you did
is without a doubt the greatest therapy!

But of course Don't despair
Eventually you'll be forgiven
Give it space Give it time
When you return it will be sublime
a peck on the cheek
"Honey, can you fix the bathroom sink,
it hasn't been greased

... in at least a week."

NOTE: For all you women out there that have to put up with us silly men.

Genesis of An Idea

I saw a young lady today who had a tattoo that covered up her arm,
It wrapped it up completely but it only added to her charm.

The tat she had was bold and it caused me to do a double take,
Because on her body was tattooed a coiled and smiling snake.

Its leering head appeared from over the top of her left shoulder,
And it gazed down the front of her shirt at something even bolder.

From the neckline of her tank top was revealed some kind of fruit,
Her bosom was changed into a tempting apple, to hide it now was moot.

Even though I could only see the stem, my imagination filled in the rest,
I tried to not think about her orchard but it put my will power to the test.

A lesson about temptation was being taught to all who came to seek,
I’m sure that it will lead some Adam astray if he should sneak a peek.

Her tattoo was ripe for the picking and it seemed she had a bumper crop.
But just like Sir Isaac Newton’s apple someday hers will also drop.

So let this stand as a warning and be careful which symbol you select,
Remember that the artwork that you choose is the image that you’ll project.

At nineteen nothing is cuter than a pair of angel wings so feathery,
When you’re old they’ll remind you that the end is near on skin that is so leathery.

But she did inspire me to get a tattoo and so to the parlor I did go,
I got the universal recycle symbol on the bottom of my big toe.

So when my time is done and I’ve finished my walk along life’s path,
They’ll attach my toe tag in the morgue and I’ll get one last laugh.

Idea Marbles

I got a lot of thoughts
rolling around in my head
Idea marbles,
colored black, blue, white and red
That’s very Afro-American of me
to be thinking this way
This ol’ noggin’ got a pocketful of idea marbles,
do you wanna play?
Let’s build something, what do ya say?
It gets pretty noisy upstairs sometimes,
adults sure love to fuss and argue a lot
So lets go to the playhouse
of our dreams
	and tinker around
Gonna piece together a lightning quick social go-cart,
fastest dispensing of charity you ever did see
I love seeing compassion take the last lap of victory
What else can we build swiftly before dinnertime,
how ‘bout a love kite that flies higher than cloud nine
Let it get caught in the tail wind of a mighty breeze,
watch all the hatred disappear beyond the trees
I’m so glad you wanted to play
with my idea marbles today
Colorful thoughts that every adventurous child
	should have, I pray,
as their 24th century learning toy
Curiosity that’s never put away
by any daring girl or boy

Idea

There's an 'Idea'
Floating in the Air.
Neither Tea nor Coffee,
Neither Whiskey nor Vodka
Were able to Pull it In.

Paper looks Pale and Bored.
Pen, Bladder filled with Ink,
Is Waiting to Urinate few Words.
But the Idea is still Lingering
In the Air, Teasing me
Day and Night.

Premium Member We Had This Great Idea

We had a great idea, my brother and I.
It would have worked except for sister Di.
She had to get in on the action you see.
Which caused us all sorts of trouble, us three.

We had this idea to stand on some stools.
Mom was gone, I was in charge of the rules.
A video we were making, which would have worked
Except Di went too far, and quickly jerked.

When her pot fell with a slap and a bash
Junior threw his to make a bigger crash.
Not to be the only one left out,
I threw my pot, and began to shout.

For Mom had arrived and was not so happy.
She made us clean it all up, we felt pretty sappy.
Years later we all look at the video tape and laugh.
But on that day I would have rather been a giraffe.

Premium Member What's the Big Idea

"What's the big idea?" Lyric Man said.

Well, for me, there's not one in my head!

If I had one, my dear,

it would surely appear

in my very own contest instead!

My reply to the challenge issued by Lyric Man in a recent blog, requesting a big idea for a contest! Sure wish I had one for ya, Dave!!!

A Big Idea - Contest

He wants a big idea that he can share
How about a contest about "hair'
short, curly, long or straight
Your own colour that you hate,
Try dyeing it, show that you have flair.

My Wife Has a Great Idea

"OK, I'll try it," I say.
It's just an idea," she said. "Why does there have to be a point?"
"What's the point?" I'd asked.
"I dunno," she says. "Maybe a cat dies. Or, write a fantasy."
"About what?" I ask.
"Why don't you just write any, old story," she says, "and tell it backwards?"
"You mean like going around a storywheel?"
"Or a ball," my wife says.

Like a bouncing wheel?
Story reincarnated --
Up, down, round, no end.

Round and round it goes,
Whether you live or you die --
No big difference.

"What difference does it make?" I sigh.
"You'd better tell folks how to read it," says my wife, who always underestimates people.
"Alright then, let's get this story started."

Idea For the Bard

I travelled to Stratford today
(Crossed the Avon on the way)
In search of The Bard
To give him my card
As I'd had an idea for a play

Idea Ideal To Die For

IDEA IDEAL TO DIE FOR

As much as we celebrate the organization of liberation
We also celebrate those that birthed the idea
Heroes come and go but their idea live forever
Life victory is rooted in he who perceive the path of freedom
Neither turning to the left or right just focused on the ultimate goal
Choosing to die or die trying that JUSTICE of Human Right must prevail
This is the IDEA IDEAL DYING FOR - Peace, Love and Life

Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr and Many More
They all lived and die for an Idea that was ideal to die for
The greatest LIFE, is the person that sacrifice his life for others
What if Mandala Sold the future, the Idea that cost him 30plus years in prison?
If it was you, would sacrifice your life – I mean idea worthy dying for
Knowing that you will never live to enjoy the benefits your blood
This is the IDEA IDEAL DYING FOR - Justice, Liberty and Charity

Why burry your head in the sandy of idealess freedom
Your life is worthless if it is all ingrained in your selfish benefit
Myles Munroe Said problem solvers should be paid more
Because their ideas benefit everyone – what is your idea?
That is why the IDEA of Purpose discovery for nation development was IDEAL to die for!
And still the idea for POVERTY eradication is ideal standing for
This is the IDEA IDEAL DYING FOR - Freedom, Family and Friends

Seeps in like a sparkle of bright lightning,
Rudely rough; like diamond unpolished;
In forms of thought or belief, heightening,
Stays inside bare vacuum diminished;
Propels forces of impressions within,
Comprehensive concepts clearly creates,
Idea and concept, yet, aren't the same;
When it is gruesome, facial guise goes grin,
With head and heart smoothly associates,
Idea is an unquenchable flame...!

Newton got it from fresh falling apple,
Archimedes shouted loud: Eureka!
Ada Lovelace, sometimes, could not grapple,
Though she was as full as angelica;
Galileo Galilee, through his lens,
Got idea of whole constellation,
Idea keeps up its vital rhythm;
Einstein challenged each philosopher, thence,
With relativism! What an ablation!
He had his self-tuned witty logarithm...!!!

Though flares in mind of independent souls,
Its ignition sphere is Hades-like deep;
Wedded with other views, gets greater goals,
Like snakes-mating, ideas dance and creep;
What else, than idea, does change the world?
Globe, today, is frizzled to finger-chip,
No morality rules have any say;
When tiny charming buds turn curled and furled,
When nothing,is, in one's fingertip,
Only idea can make its sole sway...!!!

The Idea of Music

The Idea of Music

Only her own music
Can she hear. It starts
And stays in the brain...
No body movement.
But that's her way.
Night falls over her as
Music and style breed art.
Her performance, her
Logic is one, or two, or
In a group. Ideas put her
In motion.

Shifting positions she'll
Romance the wind. Her
Body apart, but in line
With her mind as she
Circles the stage. To think
As choreography in space,
Considering the motion to
Whirl or just foot it. She's
Breathing in, the haling
Songs, the vigor of
Patterns in time.
