Best Hopefully Poems
the skin that tingles when lips meet
will probably demand forever
but this heart that beats out of rhythm
from the touch of a dream
must say no to a blush and promises
instead I'm beholding to sacrifice
what cannot be laid down
My foolish heart holds on to hope,
Someday I too will find my love,
Only because of that, I cope
With each day’s reality shove;
Someday I too will find my love,
Together we shall build our home,
With each day’s reality shove,
My life’s still etched in monochrome;
Together we shall build our home,
Raise a wonderful family,
My life’s still etched in monochrome,
Though soon hues will bloom happily;
Raise a wonderful family,
A whole new future awaits me,
Though soon hues will bloom happily,
I await God’s time and decree;
A whole new future awaits me,
Only because of that, I cope,
I await God’s time and decree,
My foolish heart holds on to hope.

For L Milton Hankins' "My Foolish Heart" contest
It started in the night
the stars
the cars
It started on the balcany
the sight
the fright
It started with the adrenaline
Yet soft
and free
It started with the boy
only around
the bend
The move was love
the toy
that destroys
The action was glue
to follow
the move
The end
was
me
and
you......
Wedding bells toll somewhere far away
Hope blooms as love lightens the day

I want to move out of this state,
seeing palm trees makes me feel great,
blue aqua water,
right outside the door,
this is the new scene.
that i am looking for.
a change of place,
a change for the better,
where the sun shines bright,
much better weather,
people are pleasant,
not nast and rude,
its seems like everyone in mass,
is always in a funky mood,
just me and my dogs,
take to the open road, carrying just a little bit,
not a heavy load,
ive done it here,
again and again,
starting over from scratch,
i need a new page in my life to begin,
im scared, and nervious to start this trip,
and nervious about what lay ahead,
but ive got to get planning, and get a grip,
and find a new homestead.
I let it slip away
My first marriage...that is
For reasons why
Well, that's none of your biz
But I will tell you one thing
I would do it again
Just as sure as the ink flows
From the point of my pen
I let it slip away
My second marriage...to date
Twice was enough
Some of you can relate
Would I marry again
Send out the alarm
You know what they say
"Three times is a charm"
Will I let it slip away
With the new women I had choose
Truth, be it told
The lord only knows
Hopefully not,
I loved her so
I loved her so
I love her so...

Chinese New Year
Ushering in a brand new year
In the name of equality and democracy
Chinese worldwide are celebrating
globally
We invite you to join the happiness and the prosperity ahead
We pray for the world to become
peaceful and prosperous
Hopefully
We don't live alone
And we don't celebrate alone
And we don't pray alone
Hopefully someday, I'll be a happy camper
If I can just undo everything, I'd be much happier
Some say one day, we'll both be prosperous and wealthy
If I only had the willpower to be a genius...we'll see...
I'm a daydreamer on a Sunday afternoon
On a Sunday afternoon
Humming and singing a joyous tune
On a Sunday afternoon
On a Sunday afternoon,
I lounge on the couch and swoon
On a Sunday afternoon,
Writing my time away oh so soon
On a Sunday afternoon
Inspiration like this comes once in a blue moon!
Hopefully someday, I'll be your delightful friend
If I can just make it up to you till the very end
Hopefully on a Sunday afternoon, you'll stay near my side
If not, it's okay for the meantime - I'll just cower and hide, lacking so much self-pride
I'm a daydreamer on a Sunday afternoon
On a Sunday afternoon
Humming and singing a joyous tune
On a Sunday afternoon
On a Sunday afternoon,
I lounge on the couch and swoon
On a Sunday afternoon,
Writing my time away oh so soon
On a Sunday afternoon
Inspiration like this comes once in a blue moon!
If you were next to me right now,
I'd make you laugh wholeheartedly and smile wide somehow
Hopefully someday, we'd be a perfect pair beyond compare
Yes, some say, life is so unfair...but we'll live life without a care
I'm a daydreamer on a Sunday afternoon
On a Sunday afternoon
Humming and singing a joyous tune
On a Sunday afternoon
On a Sunday afternoon,
I lounge on the couch and swoon
On a Sunday afternoon,
Writing my time away oh so soon
On a Sunday afternoon
Inspiration like this comes once in a blue moon!
And I-I-I will always remember you and the things we used to do
And the things I used to put you through, but that's nothing new
I'm sorry, but someday, I'll mend your scars
Maybe someday, hopefully someday,
We'll be sparkling so bright like midnight stars
On a Sunday night or on a sunny day,
We'll be like the shrouds of clouds above...
We'll be hella rich with abundant love
Incrementally dead
And barely caught breathing
Caring for a child experiencing teething
Which 1 the mother?
Which 1 the child?
In this game of life
I see rules not apply
As both will die
Hopefully in arms
You will get to many new places
Move on
(This poem is a 9 - 1- 1 poem - a new form developed in Brooklyn New York.
what's my passion?
what is it that defines me
Is it the great things I have
achieved in my soon to be 25
years or is it the tragedies I've
had to overcome as a young
teenager a fatherless boy trying
to be a man to find a way to fight
without actually hitting people
I had to pay that debt but
I dread that the way I'll be defined
is dying an old lonely man that
wasted all his potential
Hey...
Hey pretty lady ....
Hey look at here please....
Hey...
Hey gorgeous girl...
I want you to hear me,
I know that you are listening me, hopefully;
Your smile is so cute,
Makes me so cool,
Makes me feel the heat more than the sun,
Your eyes are so deep,
Like There r so many quiz,
But I promise u that I will solve all of them,
I guess you are hearing me, hopefully;
Let's make a relationship,
Let's fall into the ocean of love,
Let me be the lucky one,
Make my all days and nights adorable;
I guess you are hearing me,
I know that u r listening me hopefully.
Let go of these beliefs,
That I used to cling to,
Move on to the changes,
That are coming at full speed,
These new thoughts are all mine,
Formed by my own brain,
No more parental influence,
Making my thoughts and theirs the same,
I've certainly had some inspiration,
To consider new possibilities,
Rather than what I was doing,
And simply not believing anything,
I'm embracing this new mindset,
Not holding anything back,
From now on I'm giving all I've got,
Done leaving all this slack.
My coffee percolates effervescently, employing all its onomatopoeia
After its flight from the rainforest of Amazonia
(Its grinds are tired)
And as it cools I sip the rich, dark serum of the earth
The salvation of Fair-Traders I hope I paid more or less directly
They, the fauna of the 11.4 square feet of variegated flora,
Nobly parading the verdurous spectrum,
That I am promised my daily click on an environmental website is preserving
And is this my contribution to this life?
Hopefully I will remember to turn the computer off after this
Or else I’ll break even on the rainforest
My contribution?
I am Proust reborn
Didn’t accomplish much by my age, either
Another eleven years before he would’ve started Swann’s Way
Tomorrow is another day
(Another 11.4 square feet
I hope)
Someday I will begin
~the hot hoping heartens heaps happily
as so soon the happy hoping happens hopefully~
