Between heaven and earth is so much more
You and I are for instance, but before
We were, there was and forever will be
The imprint of who will be you and me

Through closed eyelids rosy light glows warm
Swaying left and right in golden sundust swarm
My wheels so insignificantly leave prints in timeless
Everlasting sand, tossed in tides, boundless

In faraway blue green, a scaled-down ship
Moves motionless, on a never ending trip
And we, beneath a humbling firmament
See immense constellations with no end

We sit here silent, hand in hand meditating
How balance in this world, weighing
On us, harmonizes love and awe in us both
Reconciliation of life, we speak our silent oath

Premium Member My Small Bit of Forest

The colorant of dawn, the cardinal sees,
intoning its hues with, “pretty...pretty...pretty.”

As I covet red feathers, in the teaberry tree,
the sunlit chickadee harmonizes, “hey sweetie.”

The woodpecker like a heckler is pining for laughs -
pounding, drumming the marionette for gaffs.

A tufted titmouse tweets, “peter...peter...peter.”
The goldfinch dines on dandelion seeds, lilting sweeter.

Outfitted with winsome wildlife, comfortable and commodious,
my small bit of forest resonates with songbirds, melodious.

Life felt light,
Once I removed the grudge
That had grown in my heart,
Growing healthily to such an extent
That it had become a carnivorous monster
Ready to gobble myself up in its huge cavity!

Life felt light,
So much that I wondered
If those who despised me
Would smile at me
Or even send out good intentions
Towards me
Being themselves scattered dandelions
Assembled in a bouquet!

Life felt light
When the dark night opened its eyes
To a small but shiny rainbow
Spread all over the expanse of dawn
Allowing us all to be,
That which we were once,
But that which we have forsaken,
So easily, as easily as fools
Fall for the false pleasures of this fake world!

Yes, life felt really light
When I chose to adorn myself
With the shimmer of forgiveness
Inscribed in the folds of my soft soul
It was almost, as if,
I could hear magical mantras on a full moon night
Or even feel the pulses of a tarot card reading
As it harmonizes with the circumstances
Dancing in front of me!

For,
Forgiveness
Is nothing else other than
The ability to understand
That all souls are mere victims
Of their own prescribed fates
And nothing else
Can save them from themselves
Other than their own higher consciousness!

Premium Member Unveiling the True Meaning of Love

True Love Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Robert James Liguori
_____________________________________________________________

In a world where illusions often deceive,
Genuine love springs as a jewel to retrieve.
A tale implicit, a sumptuous symphony divine,
Where souls entwine, true love will shine.

Can passion be a fleeting amour, a brief aura?
Or does it grasp a deeper, sapient aurora?
In a realm where hearts oft maunder astray,
Echt love exhibits its zeal and splendor in this way.

Akin to ghosts, love is beset but scarcely seen.
Real passion hits hastily in a radiant, pulsing scene.
It is not a slight propensity, a surreptitious flame,
But an amorist bond that thwarts time is not tame.

True love shines akin to a beacon over princely.
A flame that fires forever, flickering fiercely
Loving someone means wanting their happiness.
A love that inspires the heart leaves just sappiness.

Comely happiness is the nectar, and love is the bee.
It resonates in-depth, not missing a beat of glee.
It harmonizes souls, inducing a blissful tune.
Love that susurrous softly, akin to a palest moon.

When a person implies a lot, distance is so little.
A love that heals all wounds and saves the brittle
True love is a lexicon, spoken without a sound.
A cynosure nexus so esoteric, it can't be drowned.

It is the exegesis of life, the reason we exist,
A love that abides through every swirl and twist
Unwavering flame, two souls sigh, tie untying!
True love is the essence, impetus, and freeing.

The one who loves you spells your name uniquely.
Your name is protected in their mouth so deeply.
For in its embrace, we decry our true selves,
A love that transcends is a love that compels.

A level of optimism is crucial for the birth of love.
Your devotion is not to me but to the stars above.
A tale unavowed, a symphony divine,
Where souls intertwine, true love will shine.

The Secrets of Water

Water is the most abundant liquid on the planet.
It has the ability to cut through walls of granite.
It is below us in springs, ponds, and oceans, above us in the air we breathe and the clouds.
Water cleans, purifies, and can turn solid and it can evaporate and rains down on the crowds.

Water is a liquid computer that has memory, it has structure and intelligence.
With proper consumption, it harmonizes the flow of all the human body elements.
Its structure is affected by the unseen and fluid emotions of people.
Water is used for consecration and is revered as holy in churches under a steeple.

It quenches your thirst and makes up more than seventy percent of the body and is simply a crucial part of human anatomy and development.
When looking for life on other planets, the first thing scientist looks for is water, that precious element.
The body soaks up water either by contact or by the humidity in the air.
It makes up most lotions and cosmetics, hydrates your skin, and makes your skin look fair

If you stare at the water for a short period with good intentions, then give it to someone it will enhance their being.
Sipping water throughout the day hydrates the body and prevents premature aging.
Speaking over water before consumption harmonizes the water with your vibration.
Next to the human being, water is God's most wonderful, versatile, and amazing creation.

It has the memory of the divine which we wish to simply take in, eliminating strife.
One moment of gratitude and reverence pondering over water will change your life.
The best way to drink water is with both hands at a temperature within four degrees up or down of body temperature.
What you consume becomes part of you, so bless water before drinking so that you may become a blessing to others, for sure.

Premium Member Ghazal: May the Sound Be With You

The forest floor stretches drum tight, bound by verdant slopes, a timpani of sound.
First greeters of rain’s onslaught, leaves trill joy, form larger drops, a deeper sound

While tires rumble freeways flowing through suburban sprawl like spring flashflood
That envelopes older, gravely rich, established enclave’s tombstones. Gurgles sound

That rival reverberations of a symphony hall, canyon walls full of a halcyon praise.
Nature mutes personal pain, music of motion scoring modern hallelujahs in sound,

Though rainbows, ocean tides, and tidal frictions in lunar crust, also have a voice.
These vibrations only felt by enraptured souls, that are so unlike an infant’s sound,

Season earth with salty song. As mans’ voice rises into space, a lullaby harmonizes,
To any God with ears to hear, a strong echo, “It is good!” our praise colored sound!

Poet’s Notes:

A Ghazal is a poem of 5-8 couplets with one repeating word (at the end of each stanza) and a hidden reference to my name in the last stanza. This poem has two Easter Eggs as I call them, inside of it, my name and a bit of personal information. Can you find it?

PS: You may not believe me but I swear that there are real sounds associated with both rainbows and tides in case you wondered. They are just beyond our human hearing range in frequency and also very weak.

Suffolk

We live in a little valley
once famous for cedar trees.
The name is no longer a label
but celebrates the past
as do most places in this country.

It is a place with monuments
old but not ancient,
unkempt mansions that
cling to use,
solemnized as party sites
for weddings.

We can't deny its beauty
that lives beyond the ruins,
the joyous harbor that
harmonizes generously with sun and clouds,
the great meadow, the people with their
strange but utilitarian costumes
who build their bodies along the road.

An Australian Spring

Through this happy season, when everything is green and blue,
we won't see snow-capped hills, or mountains,
only brooks and rivers bubbling in sun rays;
lay down on their bends and hear their music as children do!

An Australian spring is unique and beautiful, everybody
is welcome to join us in song;
bring your flute, guitar and drum...
make music in jovial air while it harmonizes with serenity!

Through these four short months,
feel lively and observe the eager butterflies kiss wildflowers,
but an occasional rain may fall from the vagrant clouds...
see its gentle raindrops delight open eyes!

An Australian spring is unique and beautiful,
especially in the wilderness and countryside;
down here, isn't spring unforgettable?
Let's run faster than kangaroos that seem to glide!

-laughter's Best Equals Better-

Not for naught is laughter called,
the right medication, for the soul,
Laughter plays no prideful role
on ego’s path, or vanities goal,
For laughter is the sense of joy installed,
That harmonizes with the world.

Not for naught is laughter said
To be the best medicine,
Well documented in olden lore
Widespread and genuine
When laughter is at its best
It rids the mind of emotional stress.

Not for naught they say
that tears of joy
Keeps miseries away
For sorrow’d tears, distress employ
But laughter is the key to the happy door
As souls entwine and in mirth soar.

Not for naught does laughter’s role
Play a major part in emotions discharge
No matter how gruesome the turmoil
Laughter clears the way small or large
For laughter makes light a load
on this life’s symbolic road.

Not for naught does laughter bring
Peoples together joyful in voice to sing
For man must have affinity to survive,
Must have Love around to keep the world alive
For without affinity for one another
There will be no laughter for miseries to smother.

Joyful laughter is pure sanity
Man must have affinity
For survival’s reality
Try the laughter’s way
Feel as relief has its say
at laughter’s play.

Our Past and Present Love

I went back to the place where we had our Reception
Saw the window under which I sat
A new wife; full of hope, full of joy
Anticipating my life ahead with you
Oh! It's as if the ten years hadn't passed
So fresh and powerful was the memory
The tapestry bench no longer there
But the grand old fireplace
With its pot belly stove
And attractive iron guard
Still stand majestic to this day
The coat of arms has disappeared
So too the plastic swords that mock their sting
But the soft, ambient lights remain
Against the thick tudor beams
And the gentle song of conversation
Harmonizes with the tinkle of glasses
I remember well our wedding party
How we cut the cake
And pretended to fight over the first slice!
We sucked in the helium gas
Of the pretty "just married" balloons
And spoke in a high, squeaky voice!
The company was intimate, friendly
Full of celebration and good cheer
So much has happened in that decade
But I have absolutely no regrets
In having the gold band on my finger
I am honoured to be Mrs Forth-Eglon
Thank you so much for being my husband
Through laughter and through tears
We've witnessed joy but also sorrow
Deep in my heart
I hope you know who I am
It's been a long journey for you, my love
You don't have to keep fighting
If you want to fall asleep, go ahead
But darling, let me tell you this
Thank you for ten wonderful years
I know that in the glorious future
We will be together forever
I look forward to seeing you there

Sonnet 39

Whence will thine eyes release me from the rain,
That floods thy face with fountain cries of fear?
Hence harm that harmonizes heartless pain,
With no disguise for thunderstorms or tear.

'Twas salted seas that sailed beneath my brow,
With hiccupps of a heartache left by her.
No news will nevermind the nausea now,
Inside my soul that stirs with no answer.

Shall stars surprise this spirit with a smile,
After sunsets that shadow seas of sin?
Believe I breathe a breath that mutes to dial,
A happiness that heaven loathes to win.

Deceive me dear as I will drown this day,
With tears tomorrow timidly today.

The Great Learning

Stilling avarice with abstinence,
He recovers profound innate wisdom,
Gaining sincerity most genuine,
And a righteous heart of prudence,

As proper mind exudes propriety,
He harmonizes hearth and household,
And steers his state away from woe,
Proving himself fit for purple dignity.

Light Lies Behind Wild Flowers Written By Poet Racha Sayeed Ahmed

Behind the door of wildflowers lies the door of light
One evening, I would allow the star to sing, sing, and sing to tears
For sheltered heart’s memories how they are changing, when the white wildflowers dance a smile.
While bleeding nectar from its golden heart… and the thrilled dance of its leaves for poems of the valley thyme
For tears, our bottomless humanity, the spin of light in us
And read his over nomadic heart tales
And trace in him the spirit of the poet… to see in the green light heavens the inaccessible visions….
To perceive the light tales’ whispers to rainbow when reflecting the smile of God….
To witness how universe harmonizes eternity tales in the hearts ….
On the other side,
Do not ask for wounds of the old city of Damascus
How it was swirled by the hurricane ….. how much angelic ages we need…..
To make orang flowers and antique balconies’ jasmine smile
To make the rolling stars on the chest of Qassioun smile… for the moon’s face there, observing the green lighted minarets is still extending its wings.
For A song to the fearless sad eagle… while standing on the edge of the cliff and singing his lilac song…. And praying for a light that would open his book to see the tiny waving hands to the martyr….. and see how the flood arranges itself to rise

When Listening To Her Heart Beating

When listening to her heart beat
I can hear the metronomic murmurs of string
and wind instruments blending
into a susurrous symphony
(expunging note upon note through my soul)
that goes from quiver to calm while pressed
against rhythms of her undulating breasts

the chorus harmonizes in whispered
reverberations “I love you” wrapping
each softly plucked chord around
my name that is parenthesized
in soothingly shaded tones of “mine”
