While transient clouds ripple in streaks
Below a heap of perfumed blooms prances ,
While fireflies wheel through evening, mellow…
Just then, rainfall blows
Like a funerary gush of tears
Damping my cheeks, blotting night’s glint,
As I ,in a long sojourn of ambivalence
Writhe again inside--- heart rousing a storm.

~
How in low flicker, time wobbles on…
The jasmines gone before I could hold them-
Ignoring such charm as they brush my skin.

~
Maybe this fault of gloom overcomes me..
I fail to see this life, this timely presence .
I don't know why …
My breath feels the dying and the low:
Till fireflies circle my body with radiance
Awakening a flame to grasp this moment,
To open these eyes and relish
A pure delight of what is unfurling NOW.

I saw your photo
And I didn't know,
It would hurt so much
My hand took my heart to clutch
Memories, I could touch

IN GRASPING LIFE'S MEANING

Twenty-nine years and thirty six days
I am able to savor the gift of life
but oftentimes I ask,
Have I truly grasp, what life's mean?

I am curious. I want to learn. I am to absorb
for life is a door of discoveries...

Green leaves rustling a tangent sound
o'er the bush of finite delight
or the swift sways of the winds--
somehow, the sounds tell: I am not alone.

Beneath the earth a seed can grow
nurtured by hands, sprinkled daily with love
later flowers may bloom and glow
Somehow, the sight shows me of beauty.

Lured, one day I picked it up and put it near my nose
uplifting my spirit, tickling the air
but imperceptibly it withers, still I held it best
and with its last life brought my soul at length.

Success or failure are real, but am not scared to go on
for life is an opportunity for growth and maturity.

As I age, becoming exposed,
tried and molded by trials that rain to my path,
my views changed and matured
as how I face to react, counteract situations...

Seeing the world as of today
where competition and survival is spelled harder
pushing each one and for some it's draining, too challenging
that some even considered death as the best solution.

I am grateful that I am made because of love
though my experiences taste are not all sugar
Some are sour, bitter but wow they all taught me
and let me appreciate: life is beautiful.

I am only given years to live, the choice to be productive is within me,
for life itself is a gift of possibilities.

Upon my hands lies the chance
of having less or having more
dependent all to the decisions and actions,
I pursue to work on...

Being all aware that this life
is not only given for me to live it alone
but also to be a channel of a better life(or otherwise)
to someone else's life...

Society and natural ageing
may cause some changes in me
but I must embrace, accept it,
use it to bring forth the essence

of living and not merely existing...

As the dust settles
in our hearts
hands are left reaching,
grasping, pleading
from the concrete tombs
that enclose our lives.
We are pressed down
by the burdens of living,
unable to heal our
wounded souls.
We are losing our battle…
hoping, praying,
for someone, somewhere
to free us from the rubble
of ourselves.

Grasping At Thin Air

You say you’ve always tried
to reach out to me,
even to the outer limits of your patience —
That lofty trust atmosphere

But, just how far
did you try to reach within
the deep, shadow spaces of your heart
And grab a shovel hold
of the buried fears darkly hidden —
Rarified confidence shaken

Unconditional love in need of complete certainty
is starry-eye missing
Rock solid trust has vanished into thin-air
Now our joyous stratosphere
has plummeted into the depths of despair

A little daily dawn, pillow pep talk,
and a lot of depressing, twilight tears
Sent me sky searching
on a caffeine yawn abstinence walk
Cloudy doubts
of a split mind
are asunder trying to blow in my ear —

A gloomy scent, whispering affair ...
pulse telling me of your new, nicotine needs
Suspicions sucked out of thin air,
giving you inadequacy thoughts of infidelity

A stranger friend knocking at my door,
puffing unkindly of me rude
when I’m not here
Poisonous breath cancerous to the core,
makes your loving attitude
vapor disappear

Anger shrouded in a mist veil of phantom promiscuity;
I gotta climb up the interrogation stairs,
thru the lip curse downpour of more accusatory weeps

Something has to whether change ...
should I fallen leave or sturdy remain?

Emotional peace is mountain altitude rare
It’s so hard to keep loving someone
who really don’t think you honestly care

Having plea feelings strapped to an electric chair;
zapped by constant jolts of distrust,
got this brokenhearted man grasping at thin air

Free-falling cry thru the storm clouds,
seems your rescue reach
shrinks a bit more with each dry smile

Grasping Light

What do you want
What is it that you need
Forget your life envision
Let it go and feel what you bring

Whether it's wrong to them
Whether it's right for you
You're the solution to your own catastrophe
You're the problem between the black and blues

Love will find a way
Have patience, be grateful
Not dead, not hateful
Quixotically underrated, and truly alive

Occasionally in disguise
For the devil tends to come uninvited, a mere surprise
Fool yourself several times til you return again,
Be true to your future heaven, respect the angels and dont forget they ride til the end
Because when it's all over, there will be no time for debating
Negative space for contemplating

Mistakes titled space and time crumpled into a trash bin
Creating a massive black hole
Welcoming you with a familiar smile telling you to come on in
Turn your back and lift within the light
for the truth you may see isn't always true
the future is potentially bright
Like the angel Marley says
Every little thing is going to be all right
Fly away with the blue birds
Over the rainbow out of sight
They told you you amounted to nothing
And now you're controlling the light

A Fly Grasping Warmth While Perched On An Integrated Circuit

my feelers feel a moldy cheese wheel
to the dented and bitten side, slapping
pushing, thumbing down, break a chunk
and bring close to my eyes to take
a look. there are my brothers, they
look hither and see my eight thousand
eyes gazing upon squirming fatness
in the festering fuzzy fungus sauce.
not fit to eat or to discard, i hold
my brothers' home and look to the wall,
then to the floor, and to the ceiling
so mottled and cream. just a little less
viscous than their own abode, and
smelling similar. they have no eyes
or ears, but an instinct to wiggle and
squirm. so alike are we, my brothers in
the curdled gouda.

i devoured the wheel whole, for i hungered,

and was sated

Mans universe
beyond stupidity goes
far beyond grasping

my thought on something
as man slowly destroys the planet they tax people on pollution
yet its the greedy rich who burn up the ozone destroying forests wildlife etc
they tax the less well of thinking they are smarter
we are all stupid we let the rich destroy the planet
in their greed man made wars for their benefit feeding off death and destruction

Premium Member Exquisite Love Grasping Hands

The eye-to-eye association flick life away.
Pretty natural tones ring out in my flyway
Light, invisible hands bait me to the clay.
It's excessively captivating of a grasp to assay.

Blissful lyrics led me to find my way to an archway.
I heard a sublime newly birth beat straightaway.
This soft, serene sparkle enlightens my allay.
Light stream is drawing me closer, yet I'm splay.

Bright rays awe me as I convey a lovely hallway.
My body, then again, lies on the chilly, acrid clay.
It feels incredible to be released of such a weigh
I was bare and defenseless, alike a newborn aweigh.

Steady heartbeats draw me near my doorway.
Once I hand up control to virtue, I can utterly inlay
Still, I'm alive, and I enjoyed doing it anyway.
I can't ponder anything when I stare at the Milky Way.

A dyed eye-to-eye correlation feature is held at bay.
Why should we fear death? Because of doomsday.
All were created by God, the sole crucial soothsay.
We are all born to die, thus is no need to yell or dismay.

Grasping the Moment

Sometimes we are filled with the past
so much, that we make present
part of the past;
only aging and changing of seasons,
that reminds us nature is making
it's own history in the present.

Other times we are afraid of the future;
afraid of anything that resembles a crystal ball,
or sounds like Nastrodamus. This makes us afraid
of planning or even falling asleep;
sleep carries with it dreams;
dreams sometimes are prophetic.

Often we stop ourselves from enjoying the present,
by looking back, wishing things would be different ot change,
and hiding from future's eyes,
afraid it might tell us what we can't do,
or what we may lose....

Grasping For Excuses

Lonely village, moonless night
Coal’s acrid odor, breath white
Meandering highway, the drunkard’s path
Clouded mind grasped for excuses from wrath

Unaware of the shadows
His eyes on the long road
Faint rustle of leaves, broke mind from it’s trance
In hallowed acre, apparitions danced

From corner of eye, glanced he
Naught but the night could he see
He stumbled forward not giving thought more
Until eerie crackle brought pimpled pores

His pulse and pace both quickened
Not from booze, he felt sickened
Past graveyard he slipped with recreant strides.
Closing eyes and letting memory guide

Into the wood his path led
More noises heard, his fear fed
Off to his left glinted a steel blade, bright
Down dark lane he ran, his legs making flight

Looking back as he bounded
Hoping fear was unfounded
Blinded by fear and the darkness of night
He tripped and fell to a macabre sight

A wet oily patch on road
Had caused his hopes to erode
As recognition of what lay before
The remnants of a former man, no more

Who it was he wasn’t sure
Face was gone, only a blur
A mangled mess, limbs de-sheathed and unpaired
Blood, bone and skin twisted beyond repair

Twin light orbs approaching fast
He waved and yelled, wheels went past
No notice paid by speeding traveler
The grisly scene left to drunken ambler

He starts to the task unplanned
Then sees a familiar hand
He knew at once who’d been following him
That glint was scythe of the reaper grim

Then thoughts changed to his demise
His life flashed before his eyes
And excuses he grasped to avoid the wrath
Of the One who would send him on southern path

Every fiber of hope..

Grasping just to cope..

Rummaging for sanity.

Mind full, yet empty..

Thoughts in disarray..

Wishing them away..

Sagacity losing grip..

Mind emotional trip..

Continued battle..

Difficult struggle..

Trying to hang on..

Just to stay strong..

Premium Member Grasping For Goldilocks

Burning off the excess
Things got out of line
Everything is golden
Until it loses its shine

Pendulum constantly swinging
Quick to overreact
Impermanence around the corner
Grasping for what is fact

Need to seek balance
Stand on stable ground
Know things will settle
What was lost will be found

The scale evens out
Water finds its level
We’ll never find Goldilocks
But the pendulum starts to settle

Grasping the Air

Nothing left there
You may only grasp the air
Your personal Satan is near
May he have you cowered in fear
Miserable and pointlessness so close
Sucking the life from life itself
You aren't holding on anymore
Falling out into the fire red door
When the light in your eyes has faded
And your life has forever been shaded
You can't bear to think of where you may perish
Nor the fact that you're hurting the one's whom you cherish
Close your eyes with all your might
Say good-bye to the world's sunlight
Let the numbness overcome your brain
Embrace all of the sickening pain
Your emotions are nude and raw
And forever you shall fall
You may only grasp air
There is nothing left there...

And when do we speak of passion?
The seeds among the lime?

We walk with eyes unlit
Under the dark belly of the fair.

The few determiners will dour their faces,
Rake with desire,
Digging for light under red moons.
