Grasping For Goldilocks

Burning off the excess
Things got out of line
Everything is golden
Until it loses its shine

Pendulum constantly swinging
Quick to overreact
Impermanence around the corner
Grasping for what is fact

Need to seek balance
Stand on stable ground
Know things will settle
What was lost will be found

The scale evens out
Water finds its level
We’ll never find Goldilocks
But the pendulum starts to settle

Goldilocks is fleeting Mike, and never really lasts, probably why it seems like it’s never found, your poem balances out very well on the whole, I enjoyed reading, cheers David
