Best Good Sportsmanship Poems
Oh how I wish I could stay injury free,
and remain as healthy as can be.
Hopefully I possess the determination I need,
so that I can succeed.
To never give up in the midst of a fight,
when victory is just in sight.
To eat the right foods and get plenty of rest,
so that I will be the best.
To be professional both on and off the field,
what benefit good sportsmanship can yield.
To break a old record or two,
score a point, maybe even a few.
To work hard for the good of the team,
so we can all acquire the championship dream.
To hold nothing back and give my all,
so I can add another trophy to my wall.
Though I might not make the big leagues some day,
I just wish I could at least always play.
The Athlete’s Denial
By Elton Camp
Bulging biceps and great power
Made Jock the man of the hour
As a model of good sportsmanship,
Recognition sent him on an ego trip
Long-standing records broke right & left
Made easier by his impressive heft
But meddlers wouldn’t let it be
“This looks very suspicious to me”
Accusers arose to testify he did it
In fear, they conspired and hid it
At least that is what they all say
Jock claims it wasn’t that way
“Why such drugs I’d never use.
It’s to be liars those guys choose.
Jealousy since I’m better than they
Now the league won’t let me play.”
“If an asterisk is put by my name
My records won’t seem the same.”
The truth of the matter I don’t know
But find it rather disturbing, though
I was talking to God today
and I was curious if God
liked sporting events
and which team he would favor.
God quickly answered
that we are created in his image
and just like us
he enjoys sporting events.
The particular thing he enjoys
about sports is when people
involved practice good sportsmanship,
love and respect for their opponents.
He told me he
doesn’t care who wins
but wants us to be good to each other
during these contests.
I asked him if he felt
the same way about mixed martial arts contests.
He let me know
he did not like to see
men in fighting contests
with hate in their hearts.
But he said fighting contests
in a righteous way was noble.
God is really rooting for us
he wants us to be holy
and treat each other with love and respect
In sports, in love and in life.
I was talking to God today and I was curious if God liked sporting events and which team he would favor.
God quickly answered that we are created in his image and just like us he enjoys sporting events.
The particular thing he enjoys about sports is when people involved practice good sportsmanship, love and respect for their opponents.

My mind is overflowing with thoughts today
What happened to accepting election results?
What happened to integrity and honesty?
What happened to doing the right thing?
What happened to not making fun of the handicapped?
What happened to good sportsmanship?
What happened to the United States of America?
These thoughts are traveling around in my mind.
I am wondering why there is a shortage of bullets.
Even the hunters cannot get them for their shotguns.
They are gearing up my sister says; she is all about guns.
Gearing up for what I ask.
I wonder if I want to know.
Probably not.

If you feel the need to compete
In healthy athletic competition
And happen to be LBG*T+
There's always the Special Olympics
Or become a corn star
You'll always be welcomed there
With open arms, or legs
Either way, both ways or whatever
It's all about the good sportsmanship,
Healthy competition
And Fun
By the way,
Sometimes, I get a litter horny
When I've had too many beers,
I shart to veel a wittle *****
Hick up
And watch some midnight corn
Or women's volleyball
It's true, I'm only human
