Best Girlfriend Boyfriendtruth Poems
I really wish I remembered what I told you the other day
When you asked me where I was and why I didn’t call?
I rushed to hide the truth and I forgot where I put it away.
As I stand here—sweating, I feel you sensing my delay
To answer uncomplicated questions I should recall.
I really wish I remembered what I told you the other day
Since, my deceit could destroy the perfect picture I portray,
Of a good and honest man who would never let trickery befall
So, I rushed to hide the truth and forgot where I put it away.
Maybe, I could tell you I left the answer with my attaché
Or, maybe I could just grunt and grab my chest and fall?
I really wish I remembered what I told you the other day!
Sense and reason screamed at my conscience not to betray,
But, I did it anyway; it was just so small, what could be the downfall?
Then, I rushed to hide the truth and I forgot where I put it away
Because, I thought if I told you the truth you wouldn’t stay,
And since I’m so selfish—I hope I told you I was at the mall…
I really wish I remembered what I told you the other day;
But, I rushed to hide the truth and I forgot where I put it away.

Lost on an emotional coaster
Filled with the fear of stopping
Intoxicated in the idea of more
Tortured with a choice
Listen for the words
Share with me my voice
The truth behind this wall
Answering the obsession
Fighting all the temptation
Building my confession
The weakness within
The story that’s hidden
An emotion so strong
True feelings forbidden
Friendship masked with a lie
Crush beyond ones fault
Secret underneath the skin
Lust inside my vault
Fear of the unspoken
Longing for the real
Journey undefined in today
Escaping just to feel
Presence lost in direction
The truth behind this wall
Answering the obsession
Fighting all the temptation
Hear my confession.
