Premium Member The Wheel Has Come Full Circle

What goes up must come down.
No colors can define who you are.
You may own a cart or limousine.
We'll still reach the end when it is near.
I may be poor today and eat from trash.
Tomorrow, you can't tell. I'll earn some cash.
The bed where you lie is soft and wide.
I sleep at a sidewalk and the stars are my lamp.
You wake up each morn' with a feast on your table
While we are scavenging to fill stomachs when we're able.
Our destiny isn't written in the stars.
We work for a living to thrive in this life.
Be thankful every morning you witness the sun
And pray tonight that no one lives same as I.
Wheels come in full circle, rolling round and round.
Today you'll be on top,
I am watching from the ground.
Let us bear in our minds that we are better than birds.
Our loving Father ensures each mouth is fed.
Not even the smallest details can pass by His eyes.
So plant a seed of kindness and reap a better life.

Seasons…
Mother Earth’s womb
Births Spring

Springtime…
Rebirth of life
Brings joy

Joyful
Trees and flowers
Budding

Buds spread
Petals offer
Sweet scents

Scenting
Air with fragrance
Of blooms

Blooming
Spring till summer
Fulfilled

Full rich
Long summer days
Hotter

Hot days
Of late summer
Cooler

Cool days
Transform trees to
Bright glow

Glowing
Leaves of Autumn
Soon fall

Falling
Bright leaves become
Dried life

Lifeless
Winter chill brings
First snow

Snowfall
Brightens Earth with
Whitewash

White snow
Spreads marshmallow
Splendor

Splendid
Holiday time
With snow

Snowdrifts
Disappear with
Sun’s warmth

Warm days
Of sun, rain bring
New spring

Springtime…
Rebirth of life
Brings joy

Act 1: Earth

Water
Droplets fall to earth
Meniscus lens on the world -
Wellspring of life born

Air
Gaseous brew forms
Invisible elixir -
A breath of fresh air

Fire
Destructive, cleansing
But giver of warmth and light –
Fire’s dual perspective

Act 2: Plant

Leaf
Spring buds burst afresh
Summer leaves decay so soon –
Death lords over all

Palm
Giant grass not tree
These swaying centurions -
Lives must co-exist

Sunflower
Massed bright sunflowers
Heads turn in obedience -
Sun sets on their lives

Act 3: Animal

Slug
Slug saw juicy leaf
Raced to eat this rare delight!
Bird swooped, slug no more

Ant
Ants march home in line
Communal desire on show -
Nature's will prevails

Butterfly
Winged beauty flutters
Abstract painting on her back -
Looks often deceive

Act 4: Man

Crescent
Curvaceous glory
The home of wealthy leisure -
Rich built upon poor

Gaudi
Parabolic waves
Acknowledge natural forms -
Colour outlaws grey

Dubrovnik
Sun shines on pan tiles
The town's uniform new shell -
War scars fade slowly

Act 5: Machine – the final chapter

Computer
Bits, bytes, ones, zeros
So Charles and Ada conceive -
IT’s Pandora’s box

Robot
Man and beast replaced
Same task over and over -
Objective carnage

AI
Boolean bible
Artificial ignorance -
Logical ending

Postscript: Evolutionary finale

Obliteration
Human destruction of earth -
Annihilation

Happiness is heaven, ecstasy gratifying
Sensual and satisfaction zest and delight.
I am quite confident; it comes all the year round.

It comes in the springtime when new buds appear
And nature's perfume fecundates the parks.
The season is warmer and children can play,
Listen to them, it’s laughter all the way.

It comes in summer, with hot and humid days,
We lie near each other savoring our ways.
The sea is calm and bathers can enjoy
Both a refreshing swim or some cold lollipops.

It comes in autumn with air that's so crisp
As the first snowflakes bring down the red dry leaves.
Thanksgiving is organized, a sumptuous feast.
Tilled harvested fields prepared as the chill is a beast.

But wet windy winter comes cold and hoary days
Snowfalls cover the roads and all stay snug in homes,
Everywhere fireplaces radiate warmth and shelter,
For many people think that happiness is not far away.

And so, as the year draws to a miserable end,
Let’s open a bubbly, and happy greetings send.

We Come Full Circle

We come full circle like a sun
Peeling workers back, sucking the core
Raw, emptying it of sweat and everything
Leaving flaccid evening
To be pounded by the relentless sea.
My life began here
One room and mother going and coming
Between despair and praise
Because she never hoped for anything
A soul that is satisfied has no hope
Except where the mound is raised
The great flag of dirt and final pride
And who we sleep beside
The sobering ultimatum that is not choice
The calculation that sums mortality.
We do not last as long the sun
Whose cruelty is equal to its kindness,
But one day it too shall have a great fever,
Swell, and explode.

Full Circle

Many times ive questioned my purpose
In my days upon this earth
Its something i have struggled with
From the days since my birth

Ive wandered to and fro in life
Ive seen good fortune pass me by
Ive felt the crushing blow of heartaches
And seen many tears fall from my eyes

Theres times ive made poor choices
Where consequences rendered pain
And regretful hurtful actions
I can never take back again

I can only be honest with my creator
Who knows my true heart inside
And now its in his grace and comfort
Where i now choose to reside

I will never judge another soul
As i have my own flaws to bear
And i have chosen to be forgiving
And to show more love and care.

It matters not how people see me
Or how their words may tear me apart
It only matters that before my God
He sees my truest heart.

Now that my days have come full circle
And i sit and ponder over my past
It is only the things ive done for Christ
That will forever last.

Childish eyes all bright and new,
all encompassing,alive,
unending days,years ahead,
sleep comes easy in our bed;
Taut skin,strength of vibrant youth,
old age remote and unthought,
the future is tomorrow;
Our seed into another
soon springs forth and generates
rings to the family tree,
pa to granpa,comes to be;
Then at this one step removed
we step aside and observe,
reflect,look back,not ahead..
sleep,less easy,in our bed.

When I was little it was off to the playground we would go,                                                                                 my cheeks would have a rosy pink glow.                          I loved when I was pushed in the swing,                          going through the breeze made me want to sing.              Then I grew up,                                                              I was no longer that young pup.                                      The years came and it was now time to date,                    off to the playground we went then played and ate.          We would swing and swing,                                              old memories from young it did bring.                              Many years later I had a child,                                        now off to the playground he smiled.

Just out of college, we would yearn for a touch
Sleeping together cuddled on the couch
Those were the days!
Of pre-wedding bouquets
Now I am told to go sleep alone on the couch

Life Is Full Circle

My eyes see the sun rise in the east, then set in the west.
It let's me know I have another day left.
To me money means nothing, time is forever priceless.
The truth is what hurts, lies are confessed.

It gets harder to breathe the closer you get to the edge.
It let's me know I have another day left.
The truth is what hurts, lies are confessed
Thought after thought my mind is a mess.

It gets harder to breathe the closer you get to the edge.
To me money means nothing, time is forever priceless.
Thought after thought my mind is making a mess
My eyes see the sun rise in the east, then set in the west.

The Wheel Is Come Full Circle

“The wheel is come full circle.” William Shakespeare

The clock tick-tocks!
The tables have turn counter clockwise.
The knowledge would be known.
Life is only given once.
This is what humankind is told.
But the souls rise with suspended time and life is revamped within a twilight.

Zone is the person that child has been chosen.
Veracity her spirit holds through her mother’s soul.
Her dynasty is stated will never be.
Depression is negated; however, she will repeat history.
The clock tick-tocks and the wheel of time have come full circle.
The wisdom is acknowledge through those demised.

Their deaths were to be in suspended time.
Her mother died through organized measures.
Her sister death was from similar means.
And her husband died for religion.
The walls are rose to conceal.

The darkness thickness and amnesia is present.
She always ends in the same place.
The Greyhound Bus Station and people are crowding out front.
The clock tick and sound forms ascertain amnesia.
The wheel of time has come full circle.

What went before is now past and the future is here.
Recurrence of episodic events has been gone for fifteen years.
Inhabitants talk and state she is hearing things, when the wheel of time has reveal
     them.
Tock and I will win.
The passes find that the wheel of time has ticked and the game ends.

Emigration Comes Full Circle

I left Ireland in the 80's with my husband and two babies for Holland. In 2003, we
returned so that our children could have an Irish University education. Dublin was
buzzing with life at the time, it was very expensive but we were home. Now in 2011,
my daughter is emigrating, back down the old ancestral path, she is going to Madrid
to teach English there. Our country has collapsed so badly, there is no employment
here so we are exporting our young, educated children by the day. A sad day for me
as my daughter leaves tomorrow. I wrote her this poem.

To Sarah
On the wave of emigration
I want you to know
That I see you, a fellow female
An equal on every level
Not just my daughter
My little pink princess
I see you as a woman
A power within this world
With oceans to offer
A lifetime still to learn
Go to your new life
A teacher in Madrid
Be free and fearless
Spread your wings and fly
Take the opportunities
Shape them to your dreams
You have all the tools
You can use them now.

Your analytic mind
Will help you make good decision
Fair and just rewards will ensue.
Your radiating heart
Will gift you new friendships
Maybe even a new love
All in good time
You will never be alone
Because you have a deep sense of self
This will be fortified
With this new tide
Your feet firmly planted
Will always serve you well
Balancing the ups and downs of Libra
Always true to yourself
Life will be true to you too.

We live in a new age today
This global world is small
As we email and skype
Fly back and forth to visit
We will continue to love
As mother and daughter
Our journeys through life
Shared
Forever together
My love
I will hold you safe
In my heart.

Full Circle

From the fist time I heard the call,
Of the Osprey in the air.
I knew I had a place to go,
A place where we can share,
Memories and stories
Of how our lives have been
How a boy grew into a man
And brought us back again

Life seems to come full circle
The memories of the past
Twin Lakes has been a part of him
And now it's part of us
Taking in the beauty
The broken heart will mend
Until the time the ones we love
Close the circle again.
