Notes About The Poem

Full Circle

Full Circle

Seasons…
Mother Earth’s womb
Births Spring

Springtime…
Rebirth of life
Brings joy

Joyful
Trees and flowers
Budding

Buds spread
Petals offer
Sweet scents

Scenting
Air with fragrance
Of blooms

Blooming
Spring till summer
Fulfilled

Full rich
Long summer days
Hotter

Hot days
Of late summer
Cooler

Cool days
Transform trees to
Bright glow

Glowing
Leaves of Autumn
Soon fall

Falling
Bright leaves become
Dried life

Lifeless
Winter chill brings
First snow

Snowfall
Brightens Earth with
Whitewash

White snow
Spreads marshmallow
Splendor

Splendid
Holiday time
With snow

Snowdrifts
Disappear with
Sun’s warmth

Warm days
Of sun, rain bring
New spring

Springtime…
Rebirth of life
Brings joy

Thank you so much, Linda. I love the way contests help us to learn how to use new forms. This one was challenging, but I loved it. Hugs, Sandra

Well done Sandra! I must say you make a great train driver! This is very cleverly done, considering that it's not an easy form to use. Your high placing is very deserved! Congratulations! // paul

You chose an excellent way to address this topic of a "train" type of form. I did one that is really silly and I don't know if I dare post it. I want to try a different one, but in my opinion, this type of form is too limiting. It does not allow for a good flow because you are always repeating similar words. Anyway, for what it is, you did it magnificently.

Thank you so much, Andrea, for stopping by with your supportive comment about my poem. I found it more difficult than I thought it would be...yes, very limiting. I'm sure you will present something lovely! Just don't forget that extra step to enter it! Wish they could modify the site so that the option to enter a contest is integrated on the submit poem page. Thanks again! Sandra

sorry about your snow dance, dear. I too have forgotten to enter two poems in different contests this past month!! It is so disheartening. Let me read this one now. the picture is very intriguing.
