The Malkavian..Part 1

The Malkavian..Part 1

His mind has all the meaning of a madman that is screaming
Tortured and tormented, a life lived to be lamented
His family, drained and defeated, finally retreated
Leaving him believing that he was beyond redeeming
The doctors sent in talked of hope and healing
The drugs administered only made him more demented
Cementing the feeling, that his life is just an echo
Of the endless, timeless, all consuming screaming

His best friend is a dis-proportioned bird appropriately named Buddy
Who’s monotonous motion in drinking is somewhat soothing to his being
Though not potent enough to stop the persistent pounding of the screaming
Often he stared into the emptiness of nothingness contemplating the beauty of its
existence
Only to find his mind is drowning in a confounding conundrum he can’t quite define
It's hard to be philosophical when your mental testicles haven’t dropped to the appropriate
level
So sometimes he whispers tongue twisters until his brain blisters
Madmen mask madness in mindless task of mass mayhem

It was easy for him to pretend to be prim and proper
Just a mask to don in order to dupe his doctor
Circumventing the system that couldn't’t save him
He was as he always had been and would be
In constant pain and agony with no desire for sympathy
Just in need of some freedom from his prisons and medications
Meditations and mantras had given him a sentiment of a design
On how to inhibit the screaming and maybe even end it
\
Four years preparing and plotting the perfect moment of promise
A fire formed from a single flame fueled by an accelerant
Raced through the halls up the walls and killed all the residents
Eighty-eight inmates and staff burned alive in what seemed like and instant
Such little time to search through the bodies looking for a single person
He found her on the fourth floor clinging to the bathroom faucet
He lost his virginity to the burnt corpse of nurse Denise
And to his amazed mind he was astonished to find the screaming was silenced

My Departed Friends

Oh! Those whom I loved and cared that left this world
Enjoying the bliss of heaven when my heart wreaths in pain
Free from anguish and agony and attitudes apathetic and cold
Away from burning sunlight of hatred, ruthlessness and strain

My loving parents and my little sister departed one by one
The infinite mercy of the Creator granted them joy of heaven
For me the luscious trees of love gave way to burning sun
The path of life turned thorn infested, rocky and uneven

The lustful demons of merciless world waiting for me on way
My only weapon, my resolute, indomitable will
With God behind my relentlessness I conquered life in a sway
Lonely nights followed crowded days dreary, dreadful still

Then showered on me God’s sagacious and profound recompense
Through love and compassion my beleaguered soul thrived
On desert of life came the rain-filled clouds of loyalty of friends
Roses bloomed, nightingale sang, life’s elegance revived

But happy days are shorter than the morning dew’s life
You Manzoor, Arif, Marghub,.Nisar, Mehmuda, Ismat, Harry and Jo.
Who were spared the pains of this world of conflicts and strife.
Tranquility of heaven is your destiny, Aftab, Ferreira and Remigio

Your abode has elegant pink shadows and golden sunlight
Fragrant rivers and gardens with flowers of colors unseen
Pebbles of emeralds and rubies present the sight’s delight
Gushing fountains, silvery lakes, hills and valleys ever green

These bounties are rewards of goodness and your virtuous deeds
Your kindness, your compassion, and your illuminated soul
The Creator, most merciful and benevolent gifts beyond one needs
More than lofty aspirations and much beyond your goal.

Happy though I am for you I must still complain
Why you chose to desert me; why you left alone
The leaping flame of loneliness is my destiny again
The path to eternal bliss you took, to me you should have shown

Premium Member Forrest Gump

'Twas an emotional movie portraying the saga of a loveable chump.
'Twas about a hapless lad by the curious name of Forrest Gump!
He overcame handicaps that from birth were to be his plight,
And it seemed that everything he did, eventually turned out right!

He acted bravely when he saved the life of Lieutenant Dan.
From that point, a lifetime of devotion and friendship began!
Naive though he was, somehow Forrest always achieved,
Notable, of course, was the Medal of Honor he received!

Alas, he was wounded in a somewhat delicate place!
But he accepted this and other reverses with amazing grace!
When Forrest became wealthy from his shrimp boat enterprise,
He gave Bubba's Momma a generous check, much to her surprise!

His life turned out pretty well, after all was said and done.
He married his first love, Jenny, who gave him a little son!
He'd heard an axiom his Momma taught since he lay in a bassinette:
"Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you'll get!"

Gump's role was handled masterfully by Tom Hanks of movie fame,
And it heaped upon his brow well-deserved honors and acclaim!
Mister Hanks will be long remembered for his remarkable role,
And the attributes of the indomitable American spirit it did extol!

Thembisile

She is the one that makes me laugh
Even when life seems tough
She can never be rough
Because she knows what I love

Thembisile is an angel
Not by looks but the heart
Always happy and easy
Except when she is hurt

My life feels complete
And incomplete without her
I truly am lucky
For having met her

Zulu people should be proud
For they have such people
Who are willing and giving
Thembisile forever I will keep you

Moments in class,cafe and lab
Few times in the library
Spending all our time in your room
Oh! we call it our room

Eating,crying and laughing together
Made us realize we love each other
Now life is filled with happiness
Because Thembi is no longer a friend but a sister

Premium Member Special Friendships In My Life

Every now and then
Along comes a new friend
With a friendship to last
Through times that pass
Together until the end

Then even a time or two
Meeting more makes a few
With special times to share
The laughter, fun and care
Of the life we each go through

I’ll cherish this opportunity
To have friendships of integrity
As I’ve had a few times before
And to be sure there’ll be more
A true friend to them I’ll always be

With this bond of special friends
Grace, Deann and Bronwyn
Even if life sets us apart
We all know in our hearts
We’ll be angels together in heaven

With Love,

Best Friend Brother By Another Mother

A huge part of life whilst growng up
large part of lfe, right from a bairn,
i was fragile, like fine bone china tea cup
but i put on a front and wouldn`t learn

That i was in most ways differant from you
looking back now,you had it so hard
i probably had no idea, not a clue
the extent of things, that were on your cards

My friend, your life has been mapped out
your angel in the sky will be looking down
of how you you have coped and no doubt
the extent that you`ve dealt with not a frown

Life stays still for no man, neither woman
you came through the test with flying colour
you have a grandchild to prove, maybe more coming
and now all good things, i hope will follow

Simone

Life is filled with God’s beauty
The everyday beauty which surrounds us
And the pure beauties in a friend like you

The warmth in your smile
The compassion in your eyes
The invisible wings on your back

God’s angels surround us
An angel for each one of us
Invisible only to our lack of faith

The purity of God’s character is portrayed through friendship
Painting a masterpiece of angels
Composing a symphony of love

Every life is a portrait of God Himself
But those with wings are a constant echo of His love
Those like you

You reached out to me
Touched my heart and took my hand
Entwining our lives forever

The path through life is one I could never walk without you
You have touched my life in so many ways
My angel and best friend

The bond created is indescribable
Your meaning to me is unexplainable
But without you I would be nothing

As life fades to dust
Forever in my heart you shall remain
Our unbreakable friendship everlasting
Trough our words and memories
We will dance hand in hand for all eternity

This is an extremely special poem for someone who means the world to me. Simone
Jenneke, it is a blessing to have you in my life. I could never have asked for a better friend.
You give my life meaning and hope. Thank you for who you are and for what you have done
for me. Without you, life would not be worth living. I love you more than you could ever
know.

Tons of love,
Amy, ***

Into My Life

You came into my life and opened me up to
new things...
You opened up to me, giving me the gifts of
harmonies, stories and the beauty that this
all brings.
" Now look at me", i'm writing you into my
log of poetry..
While listening to the sweet sound's of my
Words, Jazz, and Floetry...You know what i
mean " D ".
I thought you may like that. For that is something
i needed to add and send.
For you came into my life with the glue to
heal and mend.
For God sent me my gift, when you became my
friend.
So don't look at this as being Mushy....
For i'm speaking from the heart, Not trying to be
too Rushed, Crazed, nor Pushy.
Just note...that you've become the shine to
my light.
Now, i can see the beauty you bought to
me.
Giving me a new direction, strength and
sight.
For you are the life line,...The string to my
kite,
On the day you came into my life...

The End!

A Brothers Good-Bye

We've known each other from the start.
Now it is time to separate and part.
It has been the greatest thing, having you as a brother.
If I had a choice, I would never choose another.

We were divided once before, when you had a girlfriend.
We were apart for years, time that together we did not spend.
I understood how you felt about her, so I cut you some slack,
but 13 years later I feel great because you're back.

So for this little amount of time, it is us again,
I will always accept you, no matter where you've been.
Having you in my life is the greatest thing ever.
All the moments we have together, can not be rivaled whatsoever.

We lost one brother, he is with us no longer,
but out of our struggles, we grow stronger.
We have dealt with the good and bad times,
but together we face the mountains the other climbs.

Now I have to face one of my biggest fears,
letting you move away and not seeing you for years.
When we talk, you won't be in the next room,
so our everyday talks, become rare and full of gloom.

I'll tell you one thing, that I have not any other,
that I am proud to sit here and call you my brother.
The best moments of my life are with us two,
you are not even gone, but I already miss you.

I know we'll see each other again,
I just wish it was sooner than then.
I know I shouldn't but I have to cry.
I hate seeing you leave, saying good-bye.

You'Re My Reason

I am not a perfect person
So many things in life I wish I didn’t do
But as I continue to press on
I am learning something new
And so I have to tell you before it is too late
That I had found a true reason for me
To change who I used to be
The main reason to start over a new
And I have to say that reason is you
You showed me what life really means
My shiny star that guides me in the night
When I am alone I think of holding you tight
I hope what I used to do, don’t scare you away
I wish that in the end you will stay
Wanting to be by your side
Gave me a reason to change who I used to be
Helped me reach my inner strength I held so very deep
So many things in life I wish I didn’t do
But I thank GOD that I met you…

A youthful reed facing a wretched wind
Without root system to sustain her being.
Set in her ways and refusing to bend
Lacking faith beyond the life she was seeing.
But the tracks she was leaving in my life lay deep
Causing me to observe and intently stare.
Tracks that caused concerned eyes to weep
Wondering why God had chosen me to care.

In allowing us to cast a backward stare at life
We should become more thankful for who/what we are today.

Buddy

He took his time and made his mind,
now he talks in front with spectacles on -

“This is not a way of life - it’s the way I am.”
So the line goes; and being sarcastic
makes him feel good, like a pat on his
square-model shoulders.

He glanced at the sun, noticed it’s early
so he lingers and walks like forever -

“It is not fashion babe, it’s passion!”
So he proclaims! And comments, rants,
insults with pure joy and pride - like
a panelist in one of those ramp realities.

He decided to go. Erased the colors off,
brought the curl down and took it all off.

“This is life - we have to live it garl!”
There he winks and checks for extra
make-up on his face. Then walks out,
away to the center of the city; he walks.

He’s here at last. Two hours late or something…
I can’t take that against him, no - ‘coz it’s him
who taught me how to skinny dip under the stars
and it’s him who taught me how to eat sarcasm.

(…and I’ll gently take the tiara off of him.)

Barricades

In the daily scheme of days
Where fit and bold survive
Solitude is one’s chief intent
In our plan to stay alive

People often find themselves
Apart and separated
Aloof and almost all alone
Their link with life negated

They are in a neutral place
But when there’s storm or strife
They get behind a barricade
And live an empty life

Keeping their lonely heart intact
Their fingers pure and clean
Never getting self-involved
With subjects crass or mean

For life to have more meaning
Kindness is the mission
Reach beyond yourself and heed
Someone’s sad petition

Friendship blocks the solitude
With all its hues and shades
Mix your life with others
Remove those barricades.
