Best Fountainhead Poems

Premium Member My Nineteen-Seventies

I was newly thirteen when the seventies took me underwing,
then married and grown when they creased inside time’s fold.

I was not attracted to those scholastic or athletic,
but to those lacking labels and considered rebels.
Moving yearly filled my army-brat life with sad good-byes
that swerved my teenage years thru countless, deep cries.
When the decade first began, I had paper and pen in hand
to secretly write the poetry holding my heart slams.
At thirteen, poems first bubbled in me to be pen-freed.
I still have most as lost-girl written within my teen season.

In the seventies I fell in love with love, astrology, spirituality,
Kahlil Gibran, Thoreau, individuality as resonated in me
from Ann Rand’s, “The Fountainhead”, and lyrics on which I fed.
The Who wrote song lines I fantasized were mine, all mine,
Elton John, Crosby, Stills and Nash sang words for my thrills,
as did Neil Young, Carole King, CCR, The Eagles, and Beatles.
Rock n Roll beats and crying guitars inebriated my limits,
such music moved me in defiance of compliance to physics.

Thru rock’s depths and denim, I was a seventies thoroughbred
who has poetically wept since first the decade's innocence bled.

I'M Going Home

I'm but a pilgrim in this land,
Where, wearily, I roam.
My homeland sweetly beckons,
And I will soon be going home.

Yes, someday soon I shall embark
Upon my homeward flight,
To a place of never ending day,
A land that knows no night.

Where meadow grass is sweet and green,
I'll lay me down to rest.
Where wildflowers in profusion bloom,
In that garden of the blest.

No clouds of fear will trouble me,
For Christ, the heavenly Dove,
Will gently rock my soul to sleep,
In the cradle of His love.

There at that crystal fountainhead,
Where living waters flow,
My parching soul will be refreshed,
No thirst again to know.

And at my Father's table
I'll feast forevermore,
Upon the living Bread of Life:
The LORD, whom I adore.

Flower power

“If you’re going to
San Francisco be sure to
wear a flower
in your hair”
long and shaggy
shagged longing wild

And to Berlin or
Paris for that
matter to dream to
meet a girl and more
under the fountain

The “Fountainhead”
on your mind
“Atlas shrugging”
all the weight of
established rigour
tremors oscillations
generational discord
transmitted juxtaposed
agonising opposition

Budding opening
freedom harmony
erect and upright
subconscious conscience

That girl with
curvy bottom and more
outer beauty inner fire
no curve balls
simply passion
adventure living
loving one in all

Embraces soaking
wet the moment
living on for now
for past and memories
intertwining venture

What is
what is coming
what was to come
appeared enlightened
what did not happen
withers lingers
explodes from

Venus-mangoed delta
reappears in wetlands
of pruned and rooting
ecstasy high rising climax

It matters not
if cobbled streets
descended from Montmartre
or mountains climbed
in open spaces putting
petting lips and heartbeats
openings and new
beginnings novel closure

It matters little great
deaths not so petite
at times of passion
'enlived' 'enstoried'
restoried recomposed
narrated and retold
episodic dedication

Floral bouquets
wild herbs and spices
arrangements
derangements
cinnamon bark on
your underbellies senses

Gathered over time
reflections longing
hope pragmatic
bold appeasement
ceasefires dynamic
bonfires bonne fires
static momentary
life and for the
living levitating
lovers

You are not going
to Paris all that
often any longer
but the scent free
spirit erotic flowers
frisson crescendo
warm hearted climax
exhaustion images

Is there in you hair
still shaggy longing
seduction floating
coming together

Is there in
your path’s ways
Is there in
your dreams

Premium Member My Euology

Rushing briskly with melodies of memories left,
gliding above the fountainhead of dreams less served,
a calling must be heard above the clatter of endlessness.
Shadowed shelter, granted through abiding confidence,
manifests its permanence with clarity and purposeful chorus.

Because of what I am and what I have done,
I am and will always be granted significance.
No matter my apparition,
my thoughts are indelible.
My biography will endure
in what I have left to seed.
As the soil becomes my residence,
I pray I impart animation to its roots.

Blue Leviathan

Blue Leviathan

Sounding the bathymetric deep
Lazuline green to waters risen
Of sonic dark sung Cetacea poetry
With ever knowing smiles
The gargantuan glides
Graceful on angel winged flukes

Slow easy speed
Of winded massive lungs
Hits the surfacing
Blown by fountainhead spouts
Breaching upon the waves

Two hundred tones of aquamarine
Poised and ready
Driven to fly the salt-water medium
Lifting from the brine light domain

Performs a pirouette

Crashing leviathan
In a centuries ballet
Antediluvian epitome of natures
Balanced perfection
Sings a song haunted melody
Traversing oceans

Beyond the deepest knowing of land
The plummet and plumb line
Of fathoms
Still skirts a coral reef
And basks in shallows
Quiet phantom
Of the giant blue

The Fluence of Friendship

The FLUENCE of FRIENDSHIP

Each spring, the source of every brook or stream
Rises from the land which has perforce been fed
By rain that falls on earth the which would seem
To return that gift, become a fountainhead
And issue in a rich and vital flow
That feeds all life to flourish and to grow
With this metaphor I seek to realise
The interaction of a friendship that I prize

The one whose words as gentle rain sustain
The spirit or the muse with which I weave
The language that might then have dormant lain
And who granted me the being I conceive

Premium Member The Fountainhead of Dreams

Pennies, dimes; silver dollars rare
are flung into cool water where
passers-by for a while have stayed
Do dreams from fountains now cascade?

Since some who come are well aware
when tossing coins into the air
forgotten oft are wishes made,
can dreams of theirs from founts cascade?

But strangers who are in despair
will wish a silent fervent prayer.
Such hopes will shimmer and not fade
inside the fountainhead’s cascade.

Pennies, dimes; silver dollars rare
belie the dreams of founts’ cascade.

Mevlana

Did I not tell you, ‘Do not leave, for I am your friend’?
For in this mirage of nothingness I am the Fountainhead of Life!
Even if in anger you leave Me for a hundred thousand years,
in the end you will return, for I am your true Goal!

Did I not tell you, ‘Be not content with worldly form’?
For I am the fashioner of the tabernacle of your contentment!
Did I not tell you, ‘I am the Sea and you are but a single fish’?
Do not be tempted ashore, for I am your Crystal Sea!

Did I not tell you, ‘Do not fly like a bird to the snare’?
Come to Me, for I am the very Power of your flight!
Did I not tell you, ‘They will rob you and leave you numb with cold’?
But I am the Fire and the Warmth and Heat of your desire!

Did I not tell you, ‘They will taint your character,
until you forget that I am your Source of Purity’?
Did I not tell you, ‘Do not question how I direct your affairs’?
For I am the Creator without directions.

If you heart is a lamp, let it lead you to your true path.
And if you are godly, know that I am your Lord!’

March

It's March. we'll never reach it/ no matter how fast you go/
I'm breathing/ it's cold and chilly/ I'm lying right on the floor/
It's March. it's obedient, humble, ridiculous, playful and rude/
with lipstick on mirror's surface/ "everything's gonna be good"/
it's night. black veil in square / of window /and it expands/
you can take any star from the heaven’s roof/ grabbing it with your hand/
milky way - is the fountainhead channel / for galaxies to begin /
get the glass from the kitchen and pour it /with pure and shining moon milk/
Emptiness isn’t the absence/ of particles/ molecules/ cells
Like if they never knew the secrets/ like if they nothing have to tell/
Void’s more like broken dishes / pieces stuck somewhere in chest/
We make a short trailer of our movie/ trying to do our best/
Cigarettes/ coffee/ balcony/ exhale-eat-pray- and love/
Morse is similar to the Braille alphabet/ falling as music above/
Night is dying / I see its grin/ universe’s twirling the window touch/
I look into its soul/which is eaten/ by sadness/ it’s March. It is March.

Word Fright

by Michaelw1two

inspired by word works of Void Opus

 all for you, superannuated, desiccated erudition,
 this propagation scribed, this apotheosis odium;
 under eructate flames, under the epitome of,
 euphonious, promulgated magniloquent inception;
 of the Maker’s exuberant false belief, in each of you,
 this written punctilious event, come full circle;
 rising to the very cusp, from titubate cathedra,
 wherein the last of pure worshipers, in chants;
 celebrate the edification cleared, to your last days,
 by those, with their own amphigouris conjunct;
 this of your quintessence, to show tutelar beings,
 nothing, but exemplification of pride and dominance;
 arise, you opprobrious center jestee, then look up,
 to the center of infinite, lonesome screams;
 this day’s iniquity is all you will fight for;
 these last importunes, are all for you, one last time,
 histrionically, making way, to move forward;
 to the vertiginousness, of sand, sweat and ground,
 denunciatory yells and screams, are all for you;
 bow your head lower and cross this palisade,
 to the center, until you hear a rise of yells;
 the pitch perfect roar, cannot stop the gods,
 until you are circled, in yourself, by all of us;
 this last chance, for you to soutenu forward,
 until you ululate for the dust from the dead;
 this all for you, your torrid tomentum, this tined fork,
 made to transfix all that has become perpetually you;
 accompanied incessantly by these sanguinary tridents,
 all for you, aimed at you, the fountainhead raising;
 these enduring entry points, standing at your fundament,
 in themselves, distinct in that you be one all for you;
 one more is all, one more to extirpate, for this is all,
 this wright’s sword your will needs, even if this ends;
 all from you, the all for you, is all you will ever need,
 are you ready for the all of these acuminate moira?
