Best Fooled Poems
Are we all fooled
and living in a mere thought
of someone else's mind
who, for an instant,
dwelled upon the concept of humanity
and then gave it up as ridiculous.
FOOLED AND OVERRULED
I chose never to believe in nevermore
Forever I wanted to believe in forevermore
But seemingly forever had another plan
To leave me a lonely and saddened man
Walks in the dark led to a peaceful park
And a place where only lovers may go
I had the freedom of a high flying lark
When we shared a space where only clovers may grow
I felt forever was finally in my grasp
Wings were mine when she made the sun shine
With her every sigh and each simple gasp
I was witness to destiny’s most wondrous design
But then forever was duly overruled
I suppose by the God that I deem to choose
and then forevermore was thus speedingly fooled
when I discovered that forever was surely mine to lose

Don’t be fooled
(practicing lyrics for the keyboard)
Don’t be fooled by those
Who pretend something is new.
Don’t be fooled by the world
Going faster than you.
Don’t be fooled by the words
From the tongue of a snake.
Remember who you are.
Your life is what you make.
Don’t be fooled
Don’t be fooled
Falling in endless pools of sorrow
Today is what matters
Be blessed with tomorrow.
Only a fool will wear a mask,
Live by lies, playing the game.
Never truth for one who asks.
Time for quitting, foolish game of blame.
Don’t be fooled by a stranger
Or anyone in disguise.
Don’t be fooled by what you think you want
You may already have, learn to be wise.
Don’t be fooled.
Don’t be fooled.
Falling in endless pools of sorrow.
Today is what matters.
Be blessed with tomorrow.
The day will come, you will look back.
At the twisted turns and choices made.
Whether a gentle journey or race track
Or with regret for what fear stole, afraid.
The wise will be smiling forever
At the glittering presents of memories.
The fool will be crying so silently
Tears in a puddle, blind reflections, bare trees.

I can take him away from you
in a blink of an eye
I can walk through your house
and feel your clothes in your drawers
I can find your hidden secrets
in drawers you thought were safe
nothing is safe
sweetheart
from me.
he's been sick of you for years
has an excess of loyalty
didn't serve him well
and here you were
telling him lies to keep him home
and then mocked him
sister
you should see him when he's shed you
The aircraft landed in Nigeria,
The day, 27th December, year 2018
And the airport taxi brought him home,
Mornings and afternoon's
Filled with sounds and sunshine
Amongst the family.
The affluent splendor of his foreign accent herald the days
Yuletide season! He's come from abroad, well, Europe.

As the dying day dies beautifully
In the tender glow of the evening,
The hope of an epitome of the African beauty
Rose gracefully from its catacomb.
She is a lovely maiden
that looks good in a broken mirror,
Oblivious of an awful and implacable approach of doom,
She craves money and an abroad based dude for a groom.

Tall and handsome like an actor
Was the deceitful Casanova.
The village stream paved the fate of their meeting,
Like magic, her heart paused for him,
Cellular numbers exchanged,
Undying love promised,
Later, three dollars and a one dollar sweater,
Lip gloss, perfume and skirt given,
Her day , made worthwhile.

Driven in a Venza car,
To a home far away from home,
Bottles of Fanta, Galla and stories for compliment,
Minutes were spent , the bar and hours in room.
Her caring local boyfriend now a heap of rub-bish,
She wiggles as the iPhone
Pictures her worthless frame,
Little does she know, it'll be deleted soon.

The day, 2nd January, year 2019
Maintained the ceaseless onflow of time,
"I came back from UK, to this village, to marry a wife, you my perfect choice"
Lie old as time,
Sinking deep in her heart like steel thrown in an ocean
Words made her legs wide,
Gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia infested,
Chill of the night, he left for UK,
Memories of her forgotten,
Too cheap a girl she was
Sadly, all which glitters ain't diamond.
She was fooled, used, dumped,
Impregnated and broken,
Now she means nothing to him, she was
Only filling the blank
Left for a white abroad woman.

"Don't Be Fooled"
by: Eric L. Boddie
The latest toys, the latest games
And so many think that x can replace His Name
They say it's better to give than receive
But that's just a tool they used to deceive
So they sell, sell, sell, and we buy, buy, buy
We easily fall into the trap set by the author of the lie
And to make things worse, we teach the same to the youth
Then we expect them to grow up and be defenders of the Truth
And live by what would Jesus do when we should think of All He Has Done
Which is made a way to the Father for every daughter and every son
For each and everyone who desires to have Eternal Life
And that can not be accomplished without the Blood Of Jesus Christ
So please just remember that His Birth Is The Only Reason
Because without Christ, how can there be a Christmas Season
So they roared and laughed
Big Joe was in his glory
He had them all fooled
He reveled in it
Bashing away at the keys
His thoughts ran amuck
But deep in his heart
He knew they felt all his pain
He knew that they cared

How fooled we were,
To think that day was normal.
It was anything but normal.
We heard someone had a gun.
We got scared for our family and friends.
We couldn't get to them,
The school was locked down.
We heard someone fired that gun.
They said he shot himself.
Someone said it was Skyler.
Other's didn't want to believe,
In my heart I knew.
I was in shock.
I couldn't breath.
I didn't want to believe.
We thought he was happy.
How fooled we were.
They said he was in stable condition.
So, I was able to pick up some of
The pieces of my heart.
We got that dreadful phone call.
He said you died.
I dropped all the pieces to my heart.
I was crushed.
I broke down in tears.
Didn't know how I was
Going to make it.
But I did.
How fooled we were,
To believe you had been happy
All those years.
Dedicated To Skyler Cullitan (R.I.P 12-10-2004).
It’s been a while since we talked
I waited on you, not knowing that you’re also waiting on me.
During that time, I’ve sat back and through that pain I’d walk
all those pain you left me with are gone now, I am free.
But then today, you charged back into my life.
Shouldn’t you know better to stay away?
Clearly I’ve gone over it, don’t talk to me, I will strife
Get out! Get out right now, don’t delay!
You kept on with your lies so well
and at the end blamed it all on me.
You never believed when I told the truth, oh hell!
And at the end I’m always the “love” escapee.
Trust me…why wouldn’t you fight your jealousy and lust?
If for once you closed your eyes and actually think
We’re going in circles, my efforts always turned to dusts…
Sacrifices I made flew to forgotten within a blink.
This is it! We’re done. I’m not fooled again
so don’t go beg me, I will not alter.
Enough of the lies, enough of the pain
because I know if I risk again, from you I’ll falter.
An old trick that’s tried and true
You want me to visit you
So you go and drop a line
Saying that my work is fine
Then when you have dropped the bait
You sit calmly and you wait
Hoping that I’ll come to see
That little insult, just for me
Well, my dear…here is the clue
I’m not fooled by likes of you!

I've actually had this done to me before. Someone leaves a sweet comment and
so you go to repay the compliment and you find a scathing
rebuke...intended...slyly just for you! It's sad. I guess we all do that at
times...for rebuke or for love. Once thing is certain...I don't let anyone insult my
intelligence. I'm a smart cookie!
Clumsy knock about clown endears
Bubble blown, unicycling, tightrope dance
Underneath charisma, after the cheers
Grinning sinister inkling stirs up fears
Guise causes unnerved scare's enhance
Aside from a smattering of film features
What strikes terror of tumbling funny fool?
Stealth beguiling starshine easily beseeches
Skillful smiling juggler, charm widely reaches
Clapping audience, varied susceptible pool
Cunning assists any intended criminal
Never ending hanky story, needed device
Whilst being appeased, message subliminal
Strategy of fake face, stab in back abysmal
Convinced victims fall for honk nosed entice
Misgiving for characters larger than life
Natural response, harks prehistoric origins
Gleam eyed charmer warns of looming strife
Cuts familiars with pantaloon stashed knife
Trust's betrayal, robbed ones acknowledging
Faith in flamboyant rubber flower thruster burst
Smack faced shock of a dozen popped balloons
Act of slapstick big shoed tricks well rehearsed
Damaged willing givers wish they thought first
Listen to their instinct, instead of lullaby croon

You've all heard the phrase “field of vision”
What we see with the naked eye
But some things that are beyond our vision
Have effects on both you and I
Must always try reading between the lines
Where real meanings often hide
People are not always honest and up front
Sometimes they take you for a ride
Most refrain from hurting other's feelings
But some have a nasty streak
Hidden meanings aren't always that obvious
Don't be fooled by doublespeak
So try getting down to the real meaning
Look past your “field of vision”
It will ultimately save you a big ton of grief
Make it your lifelong mission
You fooled me.
You fooled me.
I thought that with you I'd found my match.
I thought that you and me would last.
You bring me to my knees, helpless and weak.
The blows received just hurt too deep.
Through thick and thin we've been; and then some!
Why survive so much for what now we've become?
Why not just kill the rest of me?
At least somehow that way I'd be free?
I can't stand by while my heart dies
No matter how hard I try.
You fooled me.
You fooled me.
Them eyes really fooled me...
The words you spoke to me were really true to me.....
All the lies that were said went right over my head......
I chose to love you instead....
The way you bared me with every breath....
I still chose to love you my best!
Tho we are no more......
There's still one more thing i have for you in store......
You never saw the real me......
Funny,silly,giggly as can be........
The person everyone wants to be around......But look at what we found out !
Time completely destroys a person....
Intesiaptateing on looking over life for a while.......
Well unfortunately we have ran out o time with out a sivle ending.....
Don't worry baby we can have the perfect beginning....
Time will go by and so will I .......
Like a forgotten soul ,no shame don't cry!!!!!!
God knows this is yet another battle i have to fight....
But thats it for now and im going to end this by saying them eyes really fooled me.
Act happy
Put on a smile
Pretend like everything
Is alright
Hide the tears
What a fake smile
Nothing will
Be alright
Put on a mask
To cover the truth
Heart is hurting
Make sure no one knows
The truth
Somehow though
Through all of this
You still have
Everybody fooled
