Premium Member The Great Cheddar Cheese Robbery

There were three mice, members of the mob
Wanted to retire, so planned one last job
It was deep winter and it started to snow
But they weren't deterred, and the job was a go.

Their names were Gnasher, Scratcher and Dred
And you dared not cross them or you'd end up dead
Even cats were afraid of their deadly scratch
But very soon they would meet their match.

The target they hit was John O'Neils dairy
But things were now going to get a bit scary
At the main entrance was a large welcome mat
And sprawled all across it was this mean looking cat.

Their luck was in and the cat was asleep
They ran towards him and then took a leap
There was a small hole by the front door
Soon they were in, and on the shop floor.

With some small cartons they built a bridge
Reached the door handle and opened the fridge
In the mousey world it was the ultimate goal
A rare box of cheddar cheese and that's what they stole.

Meanwhile outside puss began to wake up
Was very thirsty and wanted a sup
Then in the snow small footprints he spied
The game was now up for the three mice inside.

He spotted the thieves and he gave chase
But they sprinted off at a very fast pace
The God of mice was looking down on them today
They didn't get the cheddar, but they got clean away.

The camera's were played back the very next day
As the drama unfolded there were gasps of dismay
Puss was so happy his boss he did please
By foiling the robbery and saving the cheese.

O'Neil was so impressed with the actions of his cat
He rewarded him with sardines and a brand new mat
But for the three poor mice, it ended in tears
They were eventually arrested and all got ten years.

Premium Member Tawny Tabor Taunts

Pretty, tawny, tabby Tabor
purring snuggler,
full of curiosity and play
He saw the door ajar for a fast getaway
His golden eyes gleamed
Jail break; as he dreamed

Ditching out as fast as a jet
The backyard pond he couldn’t forget
full of lily pads and Koi. ”Oh, what fun!”
Sneaky pitter-patter paws sly as a cat “I’ll take one.”
Tiny tadpoles hiding under the lily pads away from the Koi
A little twitch happy tail, pawing, splashing the cool water to catch the Koi
From out of nowhere showed
Kung Fu tempered toad
pounced on Tabor’s back. “H-i-s-sss......!”
Feeling frustrated and foiling his plans couldn’t catch him now

Tawny tabby Tabor taunting tiny tadpoles and tantalizing tasty tempered toad

Premium Member After Reading Whitman, Gathering Airs and Tasting the Garnishes

I am the wind
the textured curl of clouds
those specks of glitter
silver and gold are my
illustrative gleams

the foiling wings
that flutter and flap
feathers ripe with color

complementing all rosy hills
a rolling kiss a splash of
blush a dash of spicy dish
the pepper and the salt
of a morning's stirring serving

see me in the meadows
there where wildflowers overflowing
bees and butterflies how they gaily
bob take lick like little children
at the serving tops of apples candied
making funny faces where those more
tart chasing rainbow tails the
fond remnants of showers

I made this day for you
now do me honor
save some acres from your cities
and roads
one or two at the least
as I keep sacred
your plot through the heavens

Flower Beds

I'm a fruit of the tree of life
with knowledge of
the unknown
What I'm known to leave floats
above trees with grown broken
branches
I've grown to see that not
all soil is fertile as many
seeds are left
to languish & toil
The grounds are barren for
the unyielding & those
sowing with dirty
intent to spoil
Foiling that type of harvest
is light work
as I'm of
a heavier metal
The petals of my flowering
are yet to be seen
but are iron clad
I'm feral & the sowing of oats
breed chaos in tamed
minds of the past
We reach for what is hard to
grasp but is within our
clutches for time
is at hand
We're blocking out hate
that's been hashed as we
escape from boxes
part of a plan
The sham was meant to
throw heads while
they rested on
pillows soundly
in their beds
We make our beds & will
lay regardless
of how they've
been made
Some dream while awake
while others sleep
through
all of their
days
They spray with intent
to wilt & cover their
tracks from eyes
We evaporate leaving trails
behind like leaves
in favor of friendly
skies
It all falls to ground like
flowers at the end
of their days
Before you know it
its risen again like rain
from its puddled grave

A Christmas Arraignment

A CHRISTMAS ARRAIGNMENT

Late one December evening
A sound woke me from my bed,
I grabbed a baseball bat for safety
And crept downstairs full of dread.

I must admit I was not fit
For foiling midnight burglaries.
My cousin had kept pouring eggnog,
I kept on saying, “Yes, please.”

I slunk down the stairs, bat in hand,
Jumping at yet another sound.
But never in my wildest dreams
Did I realize what I had found.

Someone was in my living room!
I could hear them moving around.
So I jumped into the darkened room
And bonked him upon his crown!

He fell face first upon my rug
As you maybe have suspected,
But when I turned on the table lamp
What I saw was quite unexpected.

Santa Claus himself lay unconscious,
My heart filled with a child’s worst fear.
I had gone ahead and clobbered
The source of all Christmas Cheer!

I had to hide the evidence
Or suffer a Christmas curse!
I could not guess how my holidays
Could possibly get any worse.

I dragged that fat elf out into the snow
And began to dig a hole.
I hoped to hide the evidence
Lest I be doomed to a lifetime of coal.

But then he awoke, and began to yell
And my neighbors began prying
To spy the source of all the noise,
The screaming, yelling and crying.

The cops showed up, and saved St. Nick
Before hauling me off to the station.
They said they hoped the judge threw the book
Like I was some inhuman abomination.

Not long after I stood up in court
While the victim showed his bruises.
I tried to tell of eggnog-induced haze
But the judge was hearing no excuses.

I hung my head in utmost shame
While the verdict was entered and read.
I got twenty long years in a state prison cell
For cold-cocking the man in red.

Then Santa’s elvish lawyers worked,
And a fireplace was magically erected,
Santa winked and vanished with a finger on his nose
Although not the one I expected.

Now when Christmas time rolls around this year
And you all have fun with your celebrations,
I sit in my gray ten-by-ten room
Fulfilling my legal obligations.

So take my advice this holiday season
As you fire up the traditional Yule log,
If your cousin is anything at all like mine
Say “No thanks” to a sixth eggnog.

Premium Member Love That Is Blind

They say in his old age, Isaac was blind
yet like his father Abraham, unusually kind

Rebecca, his wife, came from a family evil and cruel
her brother Laban tried to rob Eliezer of all of his jewels ...

Isaac loved his 'hunter-son,' Esau, a chip off Laban's block
in Esau's brother Jacob, her pure son, Mother Rebecca put her stock --

Foiling Isaac's plan to give his blessing to Esau, one so cruel

Mothers Fury

What indignation hath a mothers fury
for one who illl-uses her own
Manipulation delivered obscurely
In speech or in deed intoned

Upon such one her wrath will rain
foiling their plan of ill gotten gain
no hope for the fool who does such things
who causes a mother to see her child pained

"Livid" much too mildly expressed
for the rage wielded razor sharp
especially when it comes from the one
she once tenderly gave of her heart

One thing more I will say
take heed and mark my words...
better you disappear with all your shame
then to face her and the hatred you've earned

Premium Member A Legend of Football

A short stout figure in the forward line of attack,
dribbled with the darting ball on the green turf.
With the magnetic pair of fleeting legs like a wizard,
spearheaded the formidable formation of the team.

The opponent defenders had to invent new strategy
to thwart your crafty moves leading to the goalpost,
but you could make your way foiling all their attempts
to see the ball flash and hit the net behind the bars.

You were the backbone of your country’s team of fame,
that you led to winning many prestigious tournaments.
A legend in life time, you were the pride of Argentina,
in the history of football you’ll live forever, Maradona.

Friends and Kin They Can'T Stand U Rise

When you move forth,
in your life;
There are friends and kin,
Who can't stand;
Your growth hurts;
Without realizing
How hard it was,
Foiling all painful hurdles,
In your way;
The past best friends,
Are now green-eyed;
Anticipate your fall,
To the height they are;
Lose no chance to see,
Your painful moments;
Lay thorns in your way,
Some hug,
Holding knife in back;
In their mind....
How can you grow,
When they can't,
In their life;
Ignore them,
They are no real friends;

Adieux

After three decades and a kicking more,
I deem it glaring waste and blatant loss
To play sad part of second servile fiddle
In elite cadres agleam with ersatz gloss.

Whatever charged scrolls attuned to pelt
With loaded deterrents deft souls that try,
I now must with age's ever-tightening belt
Stand to trite spites and their swipes defy.

Despite your puffed plots sick to the brim,
Those smiling streaks quite honed to trim
Purest dreams spruced by endless hopes;
I must pull down your fog’s fettering ropes.

Your lusts-spitting spikes I'll at last shame,
And sink them beneath your gloomy mast;
None of your snaky snares again shall trap,
Nor any of your foiling fangs soil this name.

All your trussing tentacles I must bid adieu,
Now that I am at last wholly done with you!

Reserata Carcerem Xi

when eerie emotions smother
passion, apt affairs affections punctured
urges oozing velocity
caught'n gaunt grasp of eroticism

when epacris ******** wail
trailing obsession, taunted trail -
hideous hankering of pleasures
foiling features, feelings' fractures

whenever bruised brain births blitzkrieg
sassy sanity's smithereens in spree
dark drooling dribbling damp rhythm
that rustic rape prune melody

tame torn instinct, take a leave
be no slave to emotions, flee.

Solar Flare Alive

Rolling through space Earth enjoys her comfortable
Distance from the giving sun, of his light, with
Warmth enwrapping daytime life of verdant growth in
Goodness wholesome grain, trees, wind, rain, rivers, and pith.

Other planets rotating around the sun’s glory,
Venus basking in heat along with Mercury’s boiling
Blast of oven cooking for a star light to humans
Looking at the sunset blanket sky westward foiling.

Solar system gently rotates Mars, Asteroids,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto at noon,
Around their star sun receiving his light circling a Solar year
Feeling through space his solar wind in a new day sunrise moon.

Birthing Blitzkrieg Bruised

worn wit's fang
omen's punctured prank
hoisted odds hampered
relieving rusty orders
monstrous myth melt
dripping dark delves

eerie experiment etched
foiling felon flesh
mental horizon's mesh

fragile future's confetti
humming hacked hymns
quarantined fate flicked

callous contractions cruised
birthing blitzkrieg bruised.

Workforce

The errant sun goes on spoiling,
Prancing aloft the coastal sea,
Disperse gathering clouds foiling,
Allowing masses roam rain-free,

Discharge they, their duties assigned,
Encroaching soon the midday hour,
Earned time behalf spent day behind,
Fruits are dealt, fruits are worked labor,

Toil away their souls imparted,
As gifted skills a day unwraps,
Calls north star marks dusk has started,
Luna rise as a star collapse,

Soft breaths cull amidst the stillness,
Rebuilt minds planned fresh days business.
