Premium Member The Ukrainian Flag Flies Again In Kherson

The Ukrainian flag flies again in Kherson, it is a joy to see
The Russian army are running scared from Ukraines military
Russia pulled out its army saying it was a tactical move
But against Ukraines valiant army, they have a lot to prove.

Their so called special military operation is now lying in tatters
Total victory for the brave Ukrainians is now all that matters
Russia have had many setbacks you hear about them everyday
Ukraine will not yield to the Russians and are driving them away.

The retreating Russian army have now pulled back to the Dnipro River
With a harsh winter approaching I hope they get frostbite and shiver
They've behaved like wild animals and they do not deserve to live
It will be a cold day down in the furnace of hell before anyone can forgive.

But Ukraine remains cautious as the Russians beat a hasty retreat
Vladimir Putin is so thick skinned and he will not accept defeat
They've probably laid booby trap explosives, to inflict fatal injury
They don't care who they kill, be it innocent civilians or military.

Vladimar Putin will be removed from power, it is just a matter of time
I hope he's handed over, and in the Hague charged with his heinous crime
But for now proud Ukrainians celebrate, as their flag again flies in Kherson
I pray that in time we'll hear about Ukraines victory, and how the war was won.

Premium Member Great Uncle Albert

In Arras field he watched that day
A flash of light against the grey,
High explosives whistled all around
And fallen thousands filled the ground.
Kentish man against the wall,
He had defended to the last;
A fleeting life--
So briefly did it pass.

Premium Member Les Demineurs

En France, les demineurs
still search the fields
removing shells,
grenades and bombs
of two World Wars

Would that we had the same
for affairs of the human heart
to defuse munitions lurking
under a landscape of civility
I’ll forgive but canna’ forget

A dangerous occupation
more than six hundred have died
removing millions of explosives
and each year farmers die
tilling their fields.

We’ve laid the mines
of icy civility
to restrict crossing
this no-man’s land
yet your smile lights a path
through this treacherous passage
to the warmth of your embrace.

En fin, les demineurs, ne travailent pas

A Soldier Coming Home

He received the call in the middle of the night,
be to work by sunrise, you'll be taking a flight.
Go to a land where freedom will rise,
men will stand proud and wipe tears from their eyes.
Suicide bombers for a man who controlled,
brutality to the people, dignity he had stole.
The soldier would travel to a far distant land,
where oil was vass and towns made on sand.
He fought for his country, he life sealed with fate,
his family remembers the call on this date.
It was warm in Sepember, he was out on patrol,
explosives were used and would soon take its toll.
He fought the good fight for freedom was sought,
much food and some water, America brought.
But he would come home boxed with a flag draped on top,
violence was something that he tried to stop.
He left earth the hero, he had fought with much pride,
Joined Jesus in heaven, and walked at his side.

Terrorize Me Not

Terrorists think they can intimidate me,
or we on this rock that sits in the sea,
this civilization that conquered the oceans,
we are world famous while they are no ones.

If you think that you can intimidate us,
by hiding a bomb in a bag on a bus,
or exploding explosives in a sold out arena,
then you must be a less evolved creature.

You believe you need to die for your God,
I believe I should die protecting my lot,
and what we believe we believe equally,
so don't think that you can succeed easily.

If I fight back am I terrorized?
No I am not I don't run and hide.
I do not need a cape or disguise
to take down the most cowardly guys.

So I call on those who are brave to all rise,
protect our island risking our lives,
refuse to back down, stay stood side by side,
if we fight back they can't terrorize.

Would you be prepare to make this sacrifice?
Be a real man, protect children and wives,
unselfishly fight and possibly die.
When it's your duty, when it's your time.

Lest we forget you should you fight.
Lest we forget those who did fight.

Lest we forget.

Shelley (The Birth of Science Fiction)

Shelley
(The Birth of Science Fiction)

I.
Young Shelley at Eton imbibed the mystique
Of science romanticized into extremes:
He gave his poor tutor a shock and a shriek—
Electric jolt!—eliciting screams.

II.
Explosives and fire-balloons were his joy,
Chemicals tainting his fingers and arms,
Steam engine blew-up—(another mere toy).
Mad Shelley continually causing alarms

III.
His tutor named Walker is wholly forgot—
Blueprint for someone whose name we’ve all read—
Frankenstein’s prototype, likely as not,
Mixed up with Shelley in wife Mary’s head.

Empathetic Light

Empathetic Light

Lady Diana, the exquisite Princess of Wales.
A heroine now in hundreds of tales.

An accomplished pianist at Buckingham Palace.
A hopeful ballerina, a kindergarten teacher.

A radiant young woman who loved to dance,
A royal young activist.

A humanitarian princess with courage, not discouraged.
A demure beauty, dedicated to duty.

To replace fear with compassion, she modeled for the world charitable actions.

"Hold my hand, I’m not afraid”
whispering to a man who suffered with AIDS.

Her hugging and empathy never ceasing, her tender love always increasing.

A hospital president for sick children, her mission.

Cautiously walking through land mines, one scary step at a time.
Explosives in the ground, she showed their purpose no longer found.

Her little princes, one on each arm.
William and Harry adored their mum.
To normalize life at times,
Disney rides, McDonald’s fries…

Paparazzi hunted her for years, bringing danger and tears.

The most photographed woman in the world.
A wedding dress of 10,000 pearls
An elegant, humble golden girl.

One evening a tragic trip through a Paris tunnel.
Drive faster,
speed up,
turn them off
put them down
stop clicking
turn around.

Then a horrific shame, who was to blame?
Indescribable loss at a human cost.

God wanted her back in 1997.
The Princess Of Wales, was our present from heaven.

They say a billion mourned. The world’s hearts truly torn.

Memories of mummy nobody could take.
Two royal sons, their hearts did break.
Now fathers with children to love, new charities to support and take care of.

I miss her now and missed her then.
Your sister, my mother, her nanny, my friend.
She changed the world for nations until her end.

The lives she touched were made healthier and bright by
Lady Diana's empathetic light.

Handshakes,kisses and fond farewell
with destiny's tears ,no thing could quell

Explosives whistled all around
where red petals now colour the ground

Lives sacrificed for us,now free
lie quiet as blossom from a tree

Each requiem slowly brought a tear
stripping each sense of its veneer

Crysanthemums now lie on each grave
thus did fortune favour the brave

Premium Member Madeleine the Spy

Sonia Esmee Florence Butt ( work in progress )

The year 2014 comes to a close
Another unsung hero passed on, from a time long ago
Poets free to express our thoughts
Due to the bravery of Sonia D'Artrois

The day was may 28, 1944
A parachute and Sonia fell from the sky
Cropte, France, behind enemy lines
Her code name Madeleine, terrifying times

Explosives, and weapons, she understood
Training the Maquis to fight, in Charnie the forest hood
A woman who earned the respect of all around
For she was the leader of the underground

Great distances on Bicycle she would ride
Courier and messenger delivering supplies
Right in front of the Nazi eye
They never discovered this lady, Blanche the spy!

D'artois she met in the war in France
Explosions of love, this great romance
After D-Day, more explosions too
Many a Nazi was felled in his shoes

This British heroine when victory was assured
Across the sea to Canada she went
Married her lover
Met in danger, in the resistance of France

Notes Sonia d'Artois passed away on Dec 21, 2014 at the age of 90, a British woman who at a very young age joined the SOE ( Special Operations Executive ) She was parachuted behind enemy lines in France nine days before D-Day to lead a group in the french resistance (The Maquis) There she met a Canadian an officer in the Canadian army Guy d'Artois. They fell in love and later settled back in Montreal Canada.

Premium Member A Kiss of Honor, a Memorial Day Tribute

Frantic searching for my sanity as the odor of explosives and burning flesh assault my soul. Longing for the boredom of stuffy barracks my eyes my friends constantly search for your return I hide all but fear.

We know the death of friends but in our life embrace we conceal all that is deferred for recollection in our final days. For now bravado, lots of scotch, and a Thai stick sets the pattern for our only security.

Lost are the joys of spirit we envisioned as children; gone is the clarity and respect for lives easily expended in the most secret of a nation’s honor, generalities served in a bitter beer.

I know you friend, your dreams your plans you say them softly in your sleep. Our prayers to will keep you safe.

We dare to plan in-country encouraged by being too short not to let our minds drift at the possibilities.

We hope that God is truly on our side and confess only in our eyes the sins we speak to no one.

The blood of those we do not know anoints the heads of those we do and love for now, until our final taps brings us home.

With this kiss of honor I embrace what remains of you my friend and your courage. I curse your departure and salute the honor of our time together.

Allahu Akbar

Allahu Akbar!
Heads rolled, limbs frayed, wow!
An ocean of blood, Allahu Akbar!!
Their reason for the season

Martyrs of wiles on these simple lie
Allahu Akbar! 20 virgins tiredly waiting,
Fresh tomatoes winking
it is I

Allahu Akbar!!
Peace in white, simplicity adorning
God in man, man in God
Emmanuel

Will peace through these heathen rise?
Or shall their Alleluias ring? Allahu Akbar!
From the east, their tiny star shone
Dome, doom, mime, maim, gbom!
Allahu Akbar!!

Shoulder to shoulder they stood
Allahu Akbar!
Echoing in splaterring flesh
God in man, man in God
Allahu Akbar!

God is the greatest
Senile man plays God
fixing the wrongs of who,
Allah?

Fireworks in their sky
curl up before lightening kiss the thunder
joy immeasurable facing the star
winking tomatoes screaming I
Je suis Charlie

The Ka'bah, so peaceful
see how it stitches the world
with bombs and explosives
from Baga to Paris
peace offering chanting
Allahu Akbar!

Amilius

Amilius

500 thousand years ago we came upon the earth,
in spirit form our natural state,
the blue green planet searched,
Amilius the first Adam came,
first born of the one true God,
We sprang into animal bodies, a subject of much mirth, no Frogs,
death was no annhilatation.

Some stayed too long in animal form and hardened,
had to wait,
went through the pain of death,
the spirit joins his mates,

5 races started by Amilius,
colors, black, white, brown,
yellow and the red,
Were started in 5 places,
thoughts are deeds of the one Gods thought form,
so the human race was bred.

The Atlantean race were red of skin ,
In the mid Atlantic ocean,
High explosives were used to rid them of Dinosaurs,
Gas pockets joined the explosion,
sunken land caused a commotion,
almost annhilation..

Ra and Hermes built the great Pyramid,
It took one hundred years,
They were from Atlantis,
where the sea drowning did, rear.
Hermes the first and last Adam,
Did float big blocks in the air,
Thought form generated,
Cut an shaped with perfect fair.

Baptist John and Jesus studied,
At the pyramid of Cheops,
Initiated, prepared, thoughts flooded,
Then they left the land of Egypt.

Adam has returned many times,
To help us here on earth,
Not always noticed, steps Jesus climbed,
Showed us the way to worth.

Thoughts are deeds, from times of old,
Could stop you dead, in deathly cold,
Thought’s Indus valley Priests could hold,
Your life gone in an instant.

Don Johnson

Why do we still have murderous terrorists,
Fear is a great generator of thought form worry.
Mass thoughts become deeds.
