Best Embark On Poems
I've never ever seen her face,
but in my mind, she's the color of love
Black
strong like dark coffee
She wakes you up early in the morning,
gives you an energetic taste of loving
to get your day going
Red
passionate fire flows in her veins
She's got crimson lips that blow words of desire,
to keep the flames rising higher and higher,
every time she speaks your name
Yellow
smile is sunshine bright
She walk towards you in her canary-colored,
polka dot sun dress that accentuate her hips so well
Her graceful charm is so a-maize-ingly pastel
Blue
mood indigo can really touch you
She makes you want to love her always,
under ocean lit moonlight and clear cerulean skies
Embark on a passage of endless days
Green
verdant valley of iris flower eyes
She's as a carpet of grass with enfolding arms,
wrapping you in her love
Bury your head in her bosom, safe from harm
Brown
sugar is the sweetest heart ever known
She has a boundless supply of caramel happiness,
taste the creamy richness of her sensuality
It's like roasted chestnuts offered to a welcomed guest
White
visions of a streaming, silky satin dress
She has a winter glow like pure virgin snow,
a gift waiting to be opened by a worthy beau
Beckons you into her ivory tower to rest
Forever gazing into her yet unseen face,
which in my mind is the color of love

Dramatic Monologue
Eleven months I watched you slowly fade away
Not once did I hear you complain or cry, you said
Soon you would embark on the greatest adventure
Of your life, while you laid suffering in silence,
Something inside me began to slowly die, too.
I tried hard, but could not stifle the bitter tears,
The dreadful hurting each day deep in my stomach
That would not go away no matter what I tried.
Then, they told me you had slipped away in the night
You began that splendid journey you spoke about.
I did not cry because I had no crying left,
But I cannot stop the gnawing in my stomach
Which will never go away, no matter how long,
Lingering, the heart ache that will last forever.

Today I am about to embark on a journey
that I have waited for, for so long,
they say that this one is the safest ship
were nothing could ever go wrong.
As I stare down at the crowd, I think,
here I am, traveling on the R.M.S. Titanic,
this is the most exciting day of my life
and yet I feel a sense of anxiety and panic.
I calm myself by breathing in April's fresh air
and the sea's waves begin to roll and rock,
I close my eyes and feel the warm sunshine
as the ship finally departs from the dock.
Even though I'm not a first class passenger
I admire the grandeur of the White Star Line,
my few luxuries and the kindness shown to me
are enough to warm this heart of mine.
For Carolyn Devonshire's Past Lives Contest
I'm very interested in learning about the Titanic, but sometimes when I look at a
picture of the ship, I get this tremendous feeling of dread and fear. So much so,
that I cannot look at the photo any longer. I don't know where my fear of this
ship comes from. I have never been on a cruise or had any kind of traumatic
experience on a ship. Sometimes, I think that I may have been on the Titanic
in my past life. I don't know if I would have survived or not.

Of My Love For You
I remember the first time I'd heard your voice. You had just dropped off a another dude, seen the good bye from you two girls up stairs, yet, I didn't pay attention.
And you came back and this time I'd caught something strange, he was 'old news', I however was getting all kinds of signals... I let that go. I had places to go, things I had to do... I was about to embark on a ambition of a dream of my own abilities. Throughout my whole existence on this planet, I'll have to 'prove' myself to me. I'll never care about myself, 'I' care about others. See, I've always known “I'm somebody”, promised to share with only one I give my heart to. Wasn't that you flirted with me cause your friend liked me, inviting me to a party at her apartment that I accepted. My first bad party, and I hadn't been there 15 minutes and already gotten screamed at by the same person that was supposedly interested in me? Time to go, before ' gets stupid' Cigarette, slowly as not to attract attention go outside, then clear, walk, (hell, I had a life to contend with..) Then, there you were, late at night, your car rolling beside me at a wake pace. In your resolve, I realize it was unmanly of me to keep up the (actually the first) argument. I was even 'more' impressed when 'you' alone stopped by to check on me the next day. We agreed on the party being a flop, and somehow from there... We started learning about one another.
I enjoyed your smiles while you read my silly writings, as I listened about your life, your children, your ex, your sister, your family, really? I met your ex, not good stock, and then one day I met your kids. in front of them, your entire family, each taking me aside, warning me. Okay, time to show who I am... I gave a list of phone numbers to your mother 'call if you want my credentials'. I'd been moved in two days prior, by an offer to do my laundry... Impressive words I recall, “bring it all”. [liked the 'here to help'] It took understanding but our bodies meshed well sleeping together. I greeted the kids, opening my heart, tearing down every wall (20 children hair clip's on my head, walking around to among the neighbor's) showing respect and honesty to everyone, it grew. I then, one day I said “I love you.” So, YOU are were the one...

Personification
Quieter than usual I stand alone in my verandah
looking over a lamp-lit street-bench.
Across the ocean a plane lands down onto the runway
where my wind- swept words would not be heard
and my mascara stained cheeks will not be seen.
Lost I whisper: "Farewell my little child Farewell
Embark on your journey...
Go chase the stars Live life Count a thousand ways to smile
Spread those wings Fly free Build up your destiny
Go girl Explore the world Ride on its golden wheel
It takes you places magical places wherever you want to be
Do all the things you aim to do Believe in all that makes you you
Walk Run Run through lavender fields Don't turn your back on the foreign breeze
Its sweet Its soft Like I described it A million nights into your sleep.
Oh my one my only child a maltese beauty
with noicettes eyes with sweetest charms and hazel hair
When was it that you turned into a lady of a kindred soul and a smile so fair
Oh my one my only child with a determined mind and a spirit sublime
In my absence Do not fear In lonely silence seek me and I'll be there
Shawling your solitude with sudden care Humming a lullaby on our old rocking chair
Covering cold nights with blankets of love Whispering stories about God above.
Oh my one my only child I know there's cursed distance that will keep us apart
but distance is only a grain compared to my heart
Its the heart of a mother that beats to your own And wherever you are
It keeps on protecting you It keeps being your home.
My child My one only child ..."
Ps : My daughter Christina is still very young, but a mother sees not only the past and the present when She thinks of her child, the future is a vision She thinks of from day one with soul, heart, and mind.

Notes: The ruby-throated hummingbird is a species of hummingbird that generally spends the winter in Central America, Mexico, and Florida, and migrates to Canada and other parts of Eastern North America for the summer to breed. It is by far the most common hummingbird seen east of the Mississippi River in North America.
During migration, some birds embark on a nonstop 900-mile journey across the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean from Panama or Mexico to the eastern United States.

Frolicking minds under benevolent skies
Set into motion spectacular emotions
Painting orange hues on silken textiles
As lovers embark on a path to paradise
Horizon bends listening to ocean tidings
Emanating from voices of rippling images
When twilight beams refract under water
Echoing messages of enchanting dreams
Hearing urgent call of resonant hearts
Birds organize display of intricate charm
Saluting the promise of ardent evening
Flying in unison with articulate response
Fervent vibes awaken to love's divinity
Surrendering to onset of sensual feelings
Rejoicing a kiss amid wordless dialogue
Holding each other in a reveling trance
Hearing heart to heart rhythmic romance
Urging love to advance amorous stance
Parting sun twinkles a retreating glance
As pier dims silently in each other's arms
Receiving a signal from supernal promise
Two souls merge heeding destiny's advice
Captivated by sentiments of eternal bliss
Excited to explore what heaven feels like

Pretty pink pansies soothe searing souls; seek them; take walks.
Offerings of friendship to another can distract depressive thoughts; open your heart.
Evoking visions of amusing moments, absorb melancholy; envision funny times.
Talk about something else, like tantalizing taste buds, instead of tumbling into misery.
Depression debilitates, destroys, discourages, and devours; design a pleasure plan.
Escape the misery; elevate merriment with music; sing and dance.
Serenity takes practice; so get started; find a serene spot in a garden; watch for sparkles.
Take time to pamper yourself; go to the spa or read a good book; relish positives.
Relax at home or sit in a mall and watch the world go by; DO NOT SHOP!
Overspending can lead to deeper depression; develop internal joys one thought at a time.
Yesterday is gone. So, forget about it. Today is a new day; make a fresh start.
Everything has a time and a season; trusting in God can help with anticipation anxiety.
Remember to grow and learn from every life experience both positive and negative.
After all, we are privileged to be on Earth where we can learn and grow, each day.
Never give up on yourself, no matter what; forgive yourself for mistakes; stay strong.
Determine to succeed at gladness; replace sad thoughts with happy ones…intentionally.
Demons can creep into one’s life; be sure to replace them with Heavenly hosts;
Enrich your soul with scripture study and silent prayers; find fellowship.
“Pretty is as pretty does,” was a common saying back in the day; see your prettiness.
Remember that raindrops refresh all living things; let some fall on your face.
Exuberantly laugh as the wetness drips onto your tongue; breathe deeply, slowly.
Sunshine follows the rain both in nature and in life. Remember, depression will pass.
Seek your own path; one that holds your happiness, stay on that path, strongly.
Individual self-worth is a way of thinking; pick positive worthy people for friends.
Overcome depression one day at a time, one thought at a time, effervescently.
Now is the time to embark on your happy future, feel better soon…lovingly.

What is this “me within me”?
Mute masquerade?
Immortality of a self,
A puff of worthless air,
Or feelings so pure?
Can I bear wings
And an angelic creature be
To soar away
Into the screaming wind
Where no one can find me?
Shall I in my ignorance
Play lip service to gods unknown?
A fancy-dress life
Where questions are left unanswered,
Camouflage realization
Obfuscate the truth,
Sigh a metaphysical inquiry
Or embark on a voyage of discovery?
Yes I can fly amongst the clouds,
A ray of sunlight breaks through dark clouds.
Your name emanates from my lips.
Your glow repels all ugly shadows.
I bow my naked head in shame
That this miserable me dared forget You.
Echoes utter beloved vibrations,
Celestial music softly penetrate my soul,
Your presence almost too much to bear.
Once more I feel alive,
Reconciled to Your divine mercy.
Emotions spread far and deep in my veins,
Oh, to feel the warmth and comfort
As I bless Your sacred name.
The “me in me” is complex true,
Shame, vice but tenderness too.
I strive to cleanse the “me in me”
I feel Your hand stretched out to me,
Dispelling anger and pride
Kindly substituting them with grace.
Together we shall walk again.

"Beware Of the Ides of the men on black"
The judges and jurors of our fates, blink.
Every time we will, they will reform it
They even gave them new uniforms
But they preferred the black 'It suits them mos'
And more guns,lesser humanity.
The Leaders of tomorrow are forbidden from seeing the morrows.
Put on rags, glorify poverty;
Just maybe, you will live to see another day of this craze of population control.
While the men on black and their rifle embark on patrol.
Pim pim,
Vroom vroom,
Police vans, parked by road sides
And policemen standing akimbo on major roads
With flash torches, flashing bright lights
Into the faces of incoming drivers
And their passengers if any.
A remainder of
'You better hold change
Or we seize the whole money'
'The Police is Your friend' with stern faces
Hello, young man may we know you.
"Paddy mi, make we gather reach town"
4:20pm, Fresh fine boys gunned downtown.
One, two shots!
Another happy-trigger officer had shot his shots.
"Oga Olopa wetin my pikin do you?"
The oceans flowed endlessly, as their mothers cried.
"Tattoo, dreadlocks, piercing not our culture!"
The Police report read.
For dumbness echoes now, while wisdom has been coerced into a deep sleep.
The toils of tomorrow built with the youth's blood.

I am certain that I have been here as I am now a thousand times before, and I hope to return a thousand times. Quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
In the vast yarn of life, we are but a solitary thread.
A spirit bound to the mortal coil, a life to be led
In a bygone era, our purpose seemed unclear.
Orts of Hokum: with each life, eons disappear,
A truth does, however deep within us, reside.
A flash of awareness, an insight that can't hide.
We, as mortal beings, strive to find purpose in life.
Not only Immortal souls—entangled in earthly strife.
On this avid adventure, our souls embark.
In an unending trail of wisdom—an eternal spark.
We tackle time, relishing the rally of each life anew.
In our quest—from roots to tallies—we pursue
What is the reason for our Aeonian cycle of life?
Struggling with the turmoil of shelved inner rife.
What is the underlying function—this cycle serves?
If, with each birth, our memories veer and swerve,
Maybe it serves as a lesson for a person to grow.
To relinquish the falsehoods we falsely show.
Learn compassion and empathy, understand,
Every soul we cross paths with—is an integral bland.
And as we journey through this cosmic dance,
We realize that life is not just happenstance.
There is a purpose to this eternal quest.
A deeper meaning we must manifest.
As we cross the loops of birth and death, we evolve.
By pondering life's nexus, we nurture our resolve.
Reincarnating across the years—a destiny unknown,
We aim to arise and boost our conscious mind zone.
In this grand adventure, we find our souls are free.
To explore the vast realms of possibility.
And though our memories may fade away,
Our essence remains, guiding us on our way.
In each lifetime, we embark on a cosmic quest.
To experience the full spectrum—a rattling best.
Love and loss, joy and pain—they all intertwine.
Guiding us through this earthly terrain, divine

This tiny precious being
I hold in the palm of my hand
About to embark on life's journey
This delicate image of man
Created in his own likeness
This soft, pink bundle of joy
Makes even the toughest of men
Start acting like little boys
Can't imagine anything sweeter
Turns the coldest heart to mush
The sweetest sight imagined
Painted with a loving brush
With all the nasty everyday stuff
That's happening all around us
The birth of a gentle newborn babe
Sprinkles us with fairy dust
Hopefully this magic continues
Through the years that lie beyond
With the birth of each new generation
A brighter new world will dawn
