Reconciliation

What is this “me within me”?
Mute masquerade?
Immortality of a self,
A puff of worthless air,
Or feelings so pure?
Can I bear wings
And an angelic creature be
To soar away
Into the screaming wind
Where no one can find me?
Shall I in my ignorance
Play lip service to gods unknown?
A fancy-dress life
Where questions are left unanswered,
Camouflage realization
Obfuscate the truth,
Sigh a metaphysical inquiry
Or embark on a voyage of discovery?

Yes I can fly amongst the clouds,
A ray of sunlight breaks through dark clouds.
Your name emanates from my lips.
Your glow repels all ugly shadows.
I bow my naked head in shame
That this miserable me dared forget You.
Echoes utter beloved vibrations,
Celestial music softly penetrate my soul,
Your presence almost too much to bear.

Once more I feel alive,
Reconciled to Your divine mercy.
Emotions spread far and deep in my veins,
Oh, to feel the warmth and comfort
As I bless Your sacred name.

The “me in me” is complex true,
Shame, vice but tenderness too.
I strive to cleanse the “me in me”
I feel Your hand stretched out to me,
Dispelling anger and pride
Kindly substituting them with grace.
Together we shall walk again.

Your imagination is intense it floats, celestially, above the clouds, globally to many parts of he world, jovially or sadly depending on your poetic mood at the time, passionately, adventurous, really scary, the king of romance you are my friend. Your talent unbelievably brilliant. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Dear Victor, do not torture yourself, dwell on the wonderful memories you made. No of us is perfect and regret some of the things we’ve said or done, you are no different from anyone. Your love is shining in the night, an angel staring in paradise… Beryl

Dear victor, such a profound and well written poem that depicts the light within you and your spirituality: i really love the lines "I strive to cleanse the “me in me” I feel Your hand stretched out to me, Dispelling anger and pride Kindly substituting them with grace." If only many would do the same too, this world will be a brighter more pleasant place: pleasure reading this: sending you light always

Dear Victor, What a journey that is wrestling with self, seeking truth, and ultimately finding reconciliation in divine mercy. I love how your imagery is stirring, the questions deeply human, and the resolution beautifully humbling. A moving, spiritual reflection. Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

I like this faith-based work that you so honorably have written for our reading. Sometimes we do get too much me inside and it interferes with our relationship to God, man and ourselves. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K
