Premium Member The Heart of Christmas -Edited

Tinsel sparkling on trees that toys lie beneath,
Holly with berries and the hanging of the wreath.
Everything is red and ever-green.

Hearth and home are comforting;
Evening is nigh.
As the snow begins to flurry,
Radiant we see the stars in the sky
Tonight.

Oh, Holy Night the angels sang beneath one special star. Can you
Feel the way the shepherds felt back then so long ago?

Commercialism of the Yuletide season,
However, was never supposed to be the
Reason.
Is there something different that we
Should be doing?
Take a moment to reflect. What really matters?
Make a promise to the babe whose birth you celebrate
At this precious time. Do for others the whole year long and
Share your heart!

Spring

Spring Contest
Sponsor: Catie Lindsey

Season that grows from delicate Mother Nature
Preservation of green lands for the legal wager
Rejuvenated roots from tulips and white daisies
Invigorated blossoms delicately entwined and lacy
Nourishing sprinkles of mist for topiary growth
Glorious love and laughter with loyalty and troth

Somewhere after the snow but before the hot sun, came delicate tulips starving for a slight sprinkle. Intertwined roots forming families of lilies and the rose bushes start to climb the trellis. Baby bunnies nesting in between the leaves of a hostas, squeaking for mumma to bring them left over vegetable plants.

Spring is my favorite season. It is the time of year I vowed to love my sweet. We had no alter, nor did we have our families. It was just me and my love with my sister and brother as witnesses. My bouquet was made from natural flowers freshly picked in the field. We shared I-do's and gave a gentle kiss underneath the gazebo in the park down the street. We decided to plan a picnic as opposed to an unnecessary reception. We had a big wicker basket full of fruit and champagne for our first toast. We shared a simple yet meaningful day. All that mattered was that we were together, now and forever, as man and wife.

FRAGILE HEARTS

F alse friends force me to feel fretfully furious,
R eason turns to regret as I remember the rejection.
    A m I antagonistic to anybody's approach?
      G uilt gives greater grief than gladness;
I ain't interested in increasing inconveniences...
L et's learn to love, laugh, live and let live,
E ventually, everything will end in an enjoyable experience.

A lthough all around me, angry arguments arise,
R esulting in relationships going wrong,
T o the True and Triune God, I totally turn,
S teadily, my sorrowful heart finds solace in this Spiritual solution.

John Joseph

Journey of beyond what we can imagine
Outgrow the love of yesterday
Hopeful of what the future may bring
Never ending tale.

Journey of many years with the hope that we share together
Only in you I rather be, until black fades to gray
Season may change but our love will still remain the same.
Each step we take makes our dreams into reality
Place me in your heart like how you placed me in your arms
Hold my hand as our story starts until it ends with 2 words "Happy
Ending"

Premium Member The Fire Rages On

The fire has been lit there already
Having been started by the Gods
Eager, ever so eager to see their will

Fulfilled, as the sparks of it originate
In a time period which the human mind
Remembers not, so immersed in the frugality of
Earth, a heartless spirit, caring solely to revolve!

Reason and science fill up every corner of this land
Armed so heavily against this mystical fire
Gouging it up with impure waters
Even if emotions, true and genuine, blow at it
Summoning me to kneel, to cry and to clip off my wings

Ordering myself to show that I care not for my self worth
Not even scared to die in this fire, as it remains my cause!

Spring Is Coming Soon

Sassy spring when new things have their way,
Playing, romping, joyous with the day.
Roses bloom beneath the azure blue.
Ideal for birds and clover fresh with dew.
New life abounds, bursts forth and aims to grow.
Gold crocuses might tremble in late snow.

Imagine, a world without rebirth.
Sad countenance would cover all the Earth.

Carnival day for a city tot,
Over on the food mart parking lot.
Marigolds reflect the sun at noon.
Intimate liaisons are in bloom.
Nectar smells and warm air bring recall,
Gentle nights as lilac raindrops fall.

Season of white dresses and pink clouds
Opalescent April, Peacock proud.
Optimum for festival events.
Nature’s renaissance of orchid's scent.

Hallo, 'Ello Mate, Hi and Howzit

GREETINGS ALL!
Greeting people on the street
Reason cannot assess how
Even a quick American "hi" in retreat
Elevates someone's mood, and the State's
Truth be told, can't say how Americans started
Ice-breaking among strangers on the street
Now, in England, silence (on tubes) is not rude
Given past racism in South Africa, we ought to use HOWZIT
Short for "How is It?" but silence is too much like our Past

All South Africans need to learn other things from USA than food
Last time I worked at Union Buildings & Oval College, I did this
Last but not least, it is Christian to give a smiling 'ello to all
