WHO IS THE GIANT OF THEM ALL

Animals or humans, who is the giant of them all?
Bearing a two sheathed wings, the Hercules Beetles
crash the Titans (beetle) growing more than six inches.
Down the dirty waterways of China is the Mekong catfish
extending at ten feet, tummy-filled with one
full swallow of a child... Horrible!
Godzilla in Japan's sea is the Nomora Jellyfish!
However, the tipped nightmare fuel
incorporeal spill is not at all hazardous.
Jamison Stone, an eleven year old boy,
killed almost, this wild giant hog of 1051 lbs.
Lizards like the giant Salamanders aren't cute at all--
measuring six feet long: the largest of their kind!
Nuisance to Australia's dangerous wildlife, cane toads,
originally are found in South and Central America!
Power and beauty
quiets all his challengers when Percheron
runs, runs fast in a horse race!
Savory staple is the spider Crab but warning!
Their claws can do some serious damage!
Under a tree, don't be shock of the flying fox:
vampires to sweet-juices of fruits in New Guinea...
Weighing over a ton, Trigger is the cow for truckload of macs!
Xenopos are Cameroon Goliath that can live up to fifteen years.
Yes, humans are tough but compared to these behemoths,
zings we have are just their toys!

Premium Member A Diamond Head Sunrise

A predawn hike with flashlights to the top of

Diamond Head, a little less than a mile

In and out of lava formation to

An elevation of about 600 feet...

My anticipation fades to concentration

On keeping pace and breathing.

Nearing the top, adrenalin meets excitement.

Dark of night clears to soft daylight. I

Hear the words, "Rarely have we seen..."

Echo. From the colorless world of

Addiction to this vast brilliant and vivid

Display of sunrise is humbling. A

Soft breeze seems to push pillow clouds

Under an azure cover, carrying re-

Newed hope from our sunrise meeting for

Recovery into this breathtaking world...

Into this day... to possibly help someone

Suffering. For today and this experience, I am

Eternally grateful.

Death

A mystery for us mere human being to unravel;
B elief and logic fight over our world, all in confusion.
C ome stealthily, it does, while as busy beavers we wander.
D riven to sudden halt; surprise, shock and suffering grip tight.
E ssentials prop up from some dormant sector of the mind to
F ace strain and stress, in some old robotic approach once instilled.
G ot to hold upon, got to stand, got to function, as needed.
H earing and understanding are postponed until opportune.
I rony of life or mockery of fate; its own will to
J eer at our needs, feelings, state of being and expectation.
K indness, generosity and support shower from around
L ike lightness filtering in very long dark and gloomy night.
M esmerised we are of a display of crowding humane touch
N ever anticipated and evaluated in our
O rganisation selfish, to conquer,to build and to rise.
P artly wrecked, partly saved, we wade hard to breathe and to sustain.
Q uestions are many and answers less; in our everyday, they
R ecur, growing in number and torturing us with chagrin.
S omebody, luckily has to be here to listen, to share,
T o give some answers; family or friends, for us to pick up.
U nderstanding and accepting, all we are left with, to fill
V oid that keeps growing larger and larger while self confidence
W avers often; diversion from normal path of ours, repeats.
X enacious we are with willpower strong to rebuild upon.
Y ears of engineering; alas, some habits have to be dropped.
Z eal to live God's given life has to be gathered to move on!

Premium Member September Falls

Stirs gently the breeze of late
   summer's grace
Endowing fall its trails ,and all is fair
Pine trees quiver in cool mists which
   embrace
The last of September... winds'
   final flare:
Each ornament from nature's afterglow
Mesmerizes these eyes through
   golden tones,
Bearing harvest moon's radiance its
  flow
Enticed by interludes of heated
  moans.

Rainfall melts summer into silver- blue
Forever a cycle of rosy sands...
Always my year's flamed passion,
   always true
Livening romance, flings, their endless
   strands.
Let September drift far onto the west
Still my heart whispers, I am wholly
  blest!

Premium Member In Another Time

I found him slumped over his Remington No.5, no more "Elite Typing" for this poor fellow. His Fedora was on the floor beside him, flat as a pancake with a stilleto heel print in the centre of it. Other than a pair of McCalls boxers, he wasn't wearing anything. The "Besame Red Velvet Lipstick stain on his crotch, matched the color on the cigarette butts in the black ashtray on his desk. I noticed the ashtray was embosed with a logo from the stork club.

I had been to the Stork club a few times, it's over on 53rd street. Not the kinda place for an ordinary gumshoe like myself. This guy musta been a regular, there were match books all over the apartment. In a place like that you never know who you might bump into. I seen Frank there one time, he didn't give me a second look. I tried to get into the Snub room once but couldn't get past St. Peter, maybe he didn't like that I was wearing a single gold earing.

I did some calling around, it seems the poor chump was Vincent Scott, a rich banker from Hollywood. He had been about town with a Dorthy Lamour Wanabee. She had the attitude but was a bit lacking in the looks department. Mind you for a balding middle aged banker, she was probably the Cat's Ass. Rumor was that he was planning on leaving his wife and two kiddies. Judging by the two, one way tickets to Cuba in his desk drawer, plans were well under way. I guess that bullet hole in the center of Vincent's forehead kinda spoiled his plans.

Premium Member Whispers

Wind talks softly to me and the bees,
Hearing your words through the breeze.
I hear you in the pretty wind chimes,
Singing as you whisper many times.
Peace you bring in,
Each song you sing with a grin.
Rain or wind in the trees,
Softly you sing me to sleep with great ease.

People can never

Every six months he needs testing
So far all his results are excellent

Melancholy

L-live and let live they say, reverse becomes order of the day....health is
wealth.
I-N this world of bigotry and greed, where sages beg for crumbs out of the morons hands.
F-earing for death, death visits the bold who dare utter a word.
E-ntering into the dance of oblivion...feet clamp on spikes,as they whimper thru as drums and gong of poverty leads the way under the hand of night.
Night your hand is heavy on us!!

I-n this world, servants ride as lords walk,a norm it is where help is strange.Only hate and selfishness.....looking after one another a taboo it
becomes.Discarding where souls abode eternally.
S-eeing this foul thing! can the world be a better place? As eerie sounds pervade the darkness under whose cloak vices prevail to the detriment of the masses.

P-ly on the road of goodness, happiness it births forth drowning might of selfishness in the sea of selflessness.
R-out this vermin for mankind sake, all hands be on deck....what deck i ask?
E-rrors overlooked breeds regrets....diminishing life's value.
C-ries of help is neglected by those who claim to be good, charity begins at home they say.Personality and familiarity matter less if the call should be obeyed.
I-snt one's life worth living?
O-n this note as brotherly love comes in dispersing dark clouds gathering in this world which harbors suspicion, heartlessness, grudge, malice, racism, hypocrisy, let us embrace this call to love one another in its ramification.
U-shering in a new dawn with celebration, where one can say to another life is precious.
S-tructuring facets of life, hope is rekindled as what is due reaches all asundry.
