Hey Jan you had a great write here sorry never got back to everyone, I'm in the middle of a move. Sorry this never placed it was very close though, it actually inspired me to write about cancer. Check it out if you have time. Try my new one about paradise, rules are more clear, sure you will do well.

Hi John, I really do appreciate you commenting - my poem wasn't really apt for the contest it was a specific event that applied to me and not what makes me happy in general so I wasn't expecting to place - it WON'T be entered in any screwed contest!:-) If my stroppy muse is behaving I will be doing the paradise contest for you:-) hugs jan xx

Thanks Charma. Christmas 2013 was such a special one for us both - the best gift ever to have my husband over his cancer surgery - without that happening I don't think I would have started writing:-) hugs Jan xx

Oh Gosh Craig I would never write about such a serious issue like my husband's cancer if it wasn't true - yes he had surgery in November 2013 and that is when I wrote my first poem 'splendid Isolation' when we were in the UK and he was in hospital. Thankfully he is cured and I have the most amazing hobby which has helped me through the most difficult period of my life:-) hugs Jan xx
