With the tremulous dark vista so far and yet so near
Abandoning my defences ~ I stand in awe ~ not in fear
Virtuoso Maestro unleash
a Composition Grandioso
To Overtures of a Symphony
herald the raging storming Tempo
Staccato Strains cascading
rapid torrents of Treble and Tremolo
Rhythmic Beats a Prelude
to an intensifying Triple Time Scherzo
Silken sail unfurled I embrace the storm of your tempestuous symphony
Crashing~ drifting~ floating~ flowing~ tasting ~awakening my melodic epiphany
Effervescent chilling thrilling air as
Allegro whelms Allegretto
Electrifying sizzling Musette ~
Trills a mesmeric Capriccio
Registers booming Bass Notes
rumbling within your thunderous Vibrato
Echoing claps of thunder Prompt
a spectacular Cadence Crescendo
I release my Spirit to gratify every phantasy in its sight
The soaring Tempest of my Soul liberates its own Philharmonic flight
Inhibitions abandoned as I succumb to your Music of the Night
Footnote:
By way of musical term allegory, I have endeavored to dramatize and romanticize the Awesomeness of an Electrical Thunderstorm and simultaneously likening it to the rush of tactual Sensual, Sexuality and Emotions experienced in romantic instances. I felt that the instrumental rendition of ‘The Phantom’ Musical, aptly accentuates the trepidation, anticipation and elating sentiments portrayed in the various elements of my poem.

~My Heart~
• One last night before the grave
• Thousands of thoughts of you I save
• -Every night, I experience the same dream
• That you haunt me, exposing my sensual needs
• You push me,
• Into a pit of everything that terrifies me
~LOVE~ I confess, I fear, I avoid!!!
In the back of my mind, the moon can’t be as large
My heart bleeds, to feel more than two worlds apart
Tonight I will embed, your fantasy, my fantasy,
The Astros; I project --into your arms, of security
Your eyes render
A heavenly sanctuary, a slight sick smile to my face
You stay, I stay, in a dream we touch lips
I venture my heart then I stray, Am I afraid?
Feasibly, I’m not open-minded
I hide under this mask, these covers, that make me hold back
• I echo the moods of past dreams
• I proved to sustain a closed book, yet open your way
A trusted aspirin, can’t make thoughts of you go away
Dramatize persona, the erroneous kind of light
Yet it continues to run like hot lava, melting my mind
I’m ever so soft, when lost with your words,
I’m weak, I feel each time I cross my fingers
I’m loss of words I babble, my heart sings
Then pretends, nothing is going on
Then, I hallucinate of that kiss, and then slowly it fades
Tomorrow's another day, every mood will get in the way
• Today, I will strain
• And make sense of what clogged my main artery
• In a holding cellar, like wine it will be worth the wait
You plead for me, you pinched my eyes
I fall back to reality
Avowal, Instructions, Discipline, and Lock Down
That explains it all!!!

Oh, no, he best not patronize me on Valentines.
If I must dramatize appreciation, I shall agonize.
Each year, he thinks chocolates will rationalize
spending his time guarding the sofa so it won’t rise,
while my cooking and housework threaten to paralyze
all I am behind my victimized and exhausted eyes.
Unless he bears one, one way ticket for me to paradise
or procures a gift he ingests that will tranquilize,
he can stuff candy hearts in his behind so gelatinized.
The last time I fell for that darned, deceiving cupid
I committed to him and living my life forever stupid.

MULTILAYERED: THE CAUSE IS CIVIL RIGHTS!
How time has changed.
I am a colored woman by DNA living in a country of diversity.
I can remember my first day of school when my teacher asked me to self-identify.
“I am Native American”, I said.
In truth, my great-grandmother was Native American and I felt it was alright to
claim her as my racial identity.
Nevertheless, an N was written on my cumulative record.
Later I found this meant *****.
The third Monday of each January Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday is
celebrated.
This poem is in commemoration of his cause.
***
I have the right to express myself in the United States of America.
I have the right to self-identify the best way for me.
I am mixed-blood from all borders of this part of the universe.
I have the right to be heard and to seek a meaningful life that is vested in a liberated
mind.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is there
to eradicate.
This has not been done as to this day.
I have the right to Civil Rights.
Therefore, I shall not be moved when the movement did not breakthrough.
***
The tribulations came from slavery time.
History of the white man crimes
Equality, equity, and identity deprived.
Crusaders depicted the cause.
Assembled for their voice to be heard.
Unity was formed.
Sources with civilian purposes
Equality is only the foundation that has been scaffold.
Cause I am endowed with inalienable rights
In a nation of diversity and pride,
Vigorously I dramatize
Issues of my civil rights
Legally being denied.
Right to a fair trial
I represent self,
Government and justice are on my side.
Human rights are in all minds’ eye.
To this country, I bring forth my freedoms... Preamble.
Statue of law exemplifies in that I have "the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of
happiness because all humankind are created equally".
Issues today are in a manifold
Sequestered by the lack of applicable law.

I am here to let you know.
The most important things in life.
We can live our lives together girl.
So come stand next to me.
I am here to let you know.
To try to make you see.
The most important things in life.
Were to look you in the eyes.
To tell you all my hidden secrets.
The things that make you cry.
To search for a thousand ways to love you.
Search forever more.
Climb to the top of the highest mountains.
Sail to every shore..
So I am here to let you know.
The most important things in life.
And we can live our lives together.
Together side by side.
I am here to let you know.
To try to make you see.
The most important things in life.
Were to hold you in my arms.
To tell you a lot of little stories.
Stories I dramatize.
To find a million ways to keep you.
To keep you next to me.
To search for burried treasure.
Down at the bottom of the sea...

People love to over dramatize everything but it's not that deep
Acting like they're big time gangsters, but they're not that street
Running their mouths but they were the ones who lost the beef
It's best for them to stay quiet, but they think they've got to speak
I'm tired of the fake gangsta image
I don't know how to take the gimmick
Because you've never had a fight never mind held a weapon
I've been to war and back and hurt myself from depression
I put my battles out there because I've got the scars to prove it
You talk about buying guns, but you can't buy the heart to use it
Acting tough on social media, but no one can find you
Because in person you only act tough with 10 guys behind you
I'm trying to help you see clearly, but your own stupidity must blind you
I don't hear you
You don't mean what you say, why would I fear you?
I've battled my own demons and depression and came out as the winner
You talk like you're hard to try and make yourself seem bigger
Here, let me help you out and make your life a little easier
Just so you know, the police have social media
They can see your posts, so stop with the fake image and posting fake guns
Snitching in yourself, just shows you're a fake one
Never claimed to be a gangsta because I'm not
But I fought depression without a loss
So I've earned my name
Learn the game
When it's your turn to change
You have to take it
Never been the type to dress up who I am, I'd rather let them see me naked
I'm tired of all these fake gangstas who have never been on the street
You think you're Scarface, but we all can see through you, and it's really not that deep

Beauty In The Eye Of The Beholder
Just finished a most fantastic episode of The Twilight Zone…
The fictitious story is rather captivating, out of this world…
Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder , what an intriguing title..
Makes me hanker for more of such creative stories and titles…
The opening scene captures the anguish of a troubled patient…
Heavily bandaged in the face and head, apprehensive and afraid…
The pleading questions from the patient to the nurse in attendance…
Seeking assurances after the latest operation for the umpteenth time..
The spectre of another medical failure weighed heavily on the patient…
The measured tones of the attending doctor reminding the patient….
Of his vast experiences and the possibility of less than desired results…
Served only to dramatize the import of the success when the bandages come off…
Dire was the consequence if the unravelling of these bandages should reveal…
The latest medical procedure is yet another failure, banishment will be the ordeal..
There is no hope for further constructive operations to remedy her situation…
This patient should face stark reality and accept banishment as the best solution…
Makes me wonder how this marvellous episode of The Twilight Zone…
Though a rerun, it captures the soul and the essence of the dilemma faced alone…
When an individual is born different and suffers our unfair and prejudicial society…
For one walks alone , shunned by fellow humans when one is born different….

Hopeful doesn’t mean stupid
That doesn’t mean I wasn’t stupid
I was in a state and messed up
Simple as that.
I could dramatize
Spill all the stars from my eyes and mouth and cry out for answers but,
I won’t.
My spirit can dance alone.
A lapse in judgement will not throw it off beat because it dances to a cosmic drum. My heartbeat and no one else’s.
Dropped my shield
Set myself on fire
Burned up a daft dream
And fell to ashes.
I’ve proven to relate to the phoenix
Both of us know what it’s like to die a quick death and come back stronger
Time and time again
Our ashes swirl into the manifestation of our desires and in that I find my comfort.
Boulders
Hard topped, granite counters
Tough as nails kid
But kid is man or at least he pretends to be.
Smart phones aren’t so smart but, I’m writing this on one
Sedatives and sad, country music mood swims through my veins.
Excuse me, while I go have a drink with that phoenix.

Some folks tend to awfulize
Others prefer to dramatize,
There are those who fantasize
Many people will improvise.
I know a few who tantalize
Even resort to marginalize
Those who are short in size,
Which will often destabilize
Because they may internalize,
Which is not always wise!
Three times a week, I advise,
It’s a good thing to exercise!

Bright pumpkins flicker in shadows,
evil spirits hide in willows,
wolves renounce warfare,
even cats won't stare
at hungry griffins with large claws.
When the kids see those scary beasts,
they can't help laughing ...one retreats!
" Run, Jane, run!" yells Jared
with spooky hair as Fred...
they both drop their bags full of treats.
The chaos continues through dark streets...
as squirrels feast on unwanted sweets;
Halloween's surprises
simply dramatize...
why should kiddies hide under sheets?

Autumn's moon truly radiant and full
in a stippled and rapture blue sailcloth
of inward bliss. How fragile is the troth
in nature's errs that's hurled into the pull?
Alter of light dramatize trembling leaves
drifting throughout on the gravel below.
Shadows cast across the ground in repose.
Silence surge as darkness draws, heed for thieves.
Snappish breeze spring up slicing through darkness.
Wet mist and fever dew glimmer and press
earth's unturned heart yet bizarrely ageless.
Then, gently kiss in soft fading stillness.
Winters day lull in early calm slumber,
veiling life into a frosted wonder.
