Best Discontentment Poems
Waning love is a cold diamond thing
The hurt pressure
from the thought of losing you
is such a hard burden
Squeezing the hope out of me
Heavy-hearted acceptance ain’t easy,
especially when the weeping pang of separation
comes prematurely rushing through
Day by day,
I get premonition pulse signals of distress
Diamond bit by bit,
I receive this coal crushing feeling
And the hurt pressure
changes the beauty of what once did exist
Your vow of discontentment is tearing us apart
Day by day
Making our bond weaker
every 24/7 ...
I do feel a new heartbreak
Your ice cold eyes tell me the love flame
is no longer lit
As your heart becomes more
Diamond bit by bit
Pointed act of your future departure
pierces my mind deeply
As this soon-to-be severed heart pleads empty
Affectionate feelings voiced are on the decline,
your dispassionate vow sound
has a hollow golden ring
Echoes of neglected conciliatory healing
drowns my restless pain
in watery sheets of serrated discomfort
That jagged sharp sound,
thrust hard through my mate severed soul,
has a diamond sting
An asunder carat cutting my heart in half
Broken altar promise darkly coal uttered,
portends of your leaving
Those sacred two words,
once spoken with past caring intensity,
are now double troubling ...
And “I do” know why that is,
because you no longer desire me
Keeping your two-folded arm distance
is a cold diamond thing
As love on the wane wears the bosom hard bling-bling
Day by day,
my evening pillow dreams
get so very misty sigh moist softer
Diamond bit by bit,
my mourn awakenings
get teary pure carbon crystalline

When roads of discontentment
take you places you don’t like
and the feelings you discover
leave you frightened and alone
Just come back to love
Come back to love
When the message in the mirror
lets you know you’ve gone too far
and there is no clear direction
in a maze of fear and pain
Just come back to love
Come back to love
I say this to myself as I would to you
when the world seems far away
When I feel there’s nothing left
and no one left to hold
I just come back to love
I come back to love

Drowning in the knowledge
That change is inevitable
Afraid that your decision might backfire
What can be more spine-chilling?
Is the fact
That not making the change will
Lead you to a point of frustration
Discontentment
In the end to stagnate is also a choice
It also has a consequence

With God’s omnipotence that does attest His wondrous might
I can overcome temptation with its sinful temerity
While fighting valiantly transgressions’ filthiness…
…Pursuing after holiness in living for His honour.
By God’s omniscience that fully opens heavenly wisdom’s aperture
I can vanquish ignorance with its folly’s nuance
While subduing doubts’ collaboration with skepticism…
…Seeking for His truth which sets me free toward jubilant triumph.
Thru God’s omnipresence that marks every great spiritual saga
I can prevail over unfruitfulness of barren faith
While conquering insecurity brought by lack of trust…
…Striving to please Him with my labour of love.
Because of God’s overtaking blessings that highlight His marvelous grace
I can win against discontentment that afflicts my well-being’s marrow
While gaining His favour midst righteous proclivity against time-wasting…
…Advancing the Lord’s kingdom and sharing the Gospel* as His grateful steward.
*Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...

When worried about my security's steadfastness
since I see not the future,
I trust the guiding Light… my God – the omniscient Supreme One
Who knows my tomorrow; and can brighten my eternity!
When frustrated by spiritual crises
and groping for hope’s radiance,
I follow the guiding Light… my God – the sovereign Ruler
Who revives my soul; and can make me triumphant!
When wallowing in discontentment
while lingering in envy’s dimness,
I seek for the guiding Light… my God – the satisfaction Source
Who fills my heart with His goodness; and can nourish my well-being!
When blinded with unbelief
being tormented with doubts,
I cry to the guiding Light… my God – the perfect Teacher
Who restores my faith’s sight; and can empower me with His truth!
When pulled toward worldliness’ obscurity
against pressures of choosing what’s right,
I abide in the guiding Light*… my God – the wise Counselor
Who upholds my life; and can direct my steps to blessed service!

holding on to promises expected that's what we need to do
for God said that He would never leave nor forsake you
we've all been through stuff that caused bitterness, disillusion and pain
we've all experienced betrayal, heartbreak, discontentment and shame
but God said that joy comes in the morning and we need to comprehend
that holding on to promises expected will sustain us to the end
when i see young people committing suicide because bullying has torn them apart
i've discovered they had no connection nor relationship with Father God
as life can be overwhelming at times and we need to understand
that sometimes what we all might need is a little helping hand
a hug, a smile or a shoulder to lean on
a prayer, an open ear or simply an uplifting song
we did not get here by ourselves and we need to surmise
that a connection with Our Creator is what we need to realize
so commit to develop a relationship with Our Lord Jesus the Christ
meditate on His holy words and seek to embrace His way of life
forgive, love and learn to abide your fellow man
let go of past hurts and bitterness and come to understand
that God made vows to us and on them we need to reflect
by keeping the faith and holding on to the promises that from Him we can expect

It was nigh on to St. Crispin's day
But I found no solace there.
The night curdled with discontentment
As a vile expectation filled the air.
Death himself appeared at my door...
His heinous purpose not yet clear.
It ripped me to the very core...
It tasked my soul with fear.
'Forgive this late intrusion.'
It offered in a throated baritone.
"I am due this night to reap a soul...
But your neighbor's not at home.'
With a firm grip on my mortality...
I could think of nothing more.
I called out towards my husband...
'Honey... you're wanted at the door.'

Neon billboards scream a symphony of
images
in attempts to sell
happiness
by bleeding dissatisfaction into her mind.
Glossy, crisp pages remind her that she isn't
good enough
to be accepted by a
society
that values celebrity over individuality.
Reflections in the mirror only
reinforce
her perceived
inadequacies
as mascara stains her fair cheeks.
The gears of discontentment crush
us all
and in our attempts to
rebuild ourselves
we realize just how broken we are.
But there exists a deeper truth:
Within our eternal
soul
is a beauty that no amount of make up can hide.

“If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” 1 Timothy 4:6 King James Version of the Bible
Revival cries my soul in need
Struggling against guilt of sin-breed
Then comes heaven’s refreshing light…
Lord, You nourish me with delight.
My heart craves for mercy and grace
Longing warmth of divine embrace
Then responds caring kindness might...
Lord, You nourish me with delight.
Faith wavers due to mocking doubt
Leaving me with skeptical pout
Then Your cheers smite unbelief’s blight…
Lord, You nourish me with delight.
My hope hides discontentment pain
As hypocrisy inflicts strain
Then flow supplies from blessings’ site…
Lord, You nourish me with delight.
Receiving pardon from above
Grants me Your precious gift of love
Then peace seeks me in prayer flight…
Lord, You nourish me with delight.
Thanking You, God, in praise-filled bliss
Never Your fellowship to miss
Then now I say midst service-height…
Lord, You nourish me with delight.

Soaring in my mind above the blue skies.
Warmth penetrating across my brow.
Diving to feel a cool breeze and soaring again
On strong wings. Time is no importance while on top today.
I look across the vast sea and know I can swim fast and free.
I float, dart and flipper my way to this destination.
Mostly content though when I gaze upward...
Fleeting thoughts of discontentment come as flashes of light.
My dream...to soar as an eagle, majestic, across the sky.

Thou art merciful
in so that you doust
the flames of loathsome torment
that grows in thy heart
Being this said be mine
be mine and we will dispel
winters veiling gaze of discontentment
we are masters of stars
envied by lordships and peasants alike
fatal star destined lovers
brought forth to the world
from the loins of two foes
but destined to love till death
consumes us like a veil
while we sleep away the rest of our eternal
lives we wait to be reborn to love again

Never could Christmas mourning grip my heart
Since Christ in His birth* sealed me by His love
Granting me eternal life thru faith-start
With blessings and peace from heaven above.
Christmas mourning has been vanquished by God
When He filled with grace my futility
That was caused by materialism’s nod
Of discontentment-greed’s tenacity.
I’ll do my part to shut Christmas mourning
By spreading the Lord’s mercy everyday
Conscious that sharing is pain-lessening
And caring cheers others along hope’s ray.
Today, I bid Christmas mourning good bye
Greeting each one by the Saviour’s goodness
I’ll give gifts, devoid of selfishness’ sigh
Triumphing in His mighty joyfulness.
*Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Foray of explosive sunset —
natural fireworks on display.
A banquet of clouds, rolls in wet,
rolling up their sleeves in melee.
The confusion has its beauty —
thunderous blue, gray and white clash.
Diffusion smacks hued patootie.
Sea of the air throws quite a bash.
Brightly colored dresses behind
this curtain of discontentment.
A leprechaun’s gold, silver-lined —
cloaked rainbow’s tittle presentment.
Drink to me only with thine eyes*
the poet says, stirred as they wade.
The belle’s fluttering lashes sigh.
Are they orange or lemonade?

Silent is the echo as pride shouts
selfishness causing pouts...
self-conceit triumphs over jealousy bouts
self-glory reigns with discontentment clouts
self-reliance wavers upon attacking doubts
self-pity maneuvers toward false humility-routes…
The echo returns not indeed...
as self-sufficiency does arrogantly succeed
self-exaltation declares me-I-my-mine creed
self-inflicting pain midst guilt continues to breed
self-denial actually hoists covetousness and greed
self-love matters most, not recognizing God with His deed.

black clouds gathering
thunder rolls in the distance
a storm is brewing
Winds of change are blowing.
Can you feel the tension growing?
Discontentment, fear and anger thrive,
while integrity and trust are trampled on.
Yes, an awful storm is coming.
We must not be taken by surprise.
Revolution's heartbeat's thrumming,
people open up your eyes!
It's time for truth and no more lies.
