The Bridge of Dire Necessity

Moist jungle's steaming breath assaults my face
Molasses air I struggle to inhale
Your ruddy visage slowly drains to pale
Sharp cliff, black knife wound in the verdant space
Decrepit footbrige held up by mere grace
Each rope suspended taut by one sole nail
No time for turning back, it's move or fail
Their fever burns, thin lives that wane apace

We're down to you or me; I see I've lost
Your pallid tremors, so I walk on high
Death matters not, as all will share the cost
Without the cure, those that I love will die
Wood creaks as ropes strain, hands sweat, mind of frost
Firm terra I touch, sweet success is mine

Destines Dire Designs

I wish I never fell into your abyss
Wish I never dared to meet those enticing lips
Wish I never felt your heroin kiss
That had me floating, cloud nine:
The ultimate bliss

I wish I never laid in your bed
Settled into the crevices of arm and chest
I wish I never gave in, to the chemical mess
When it left decades of pain, just to suppress

Our passion; a ball of fire, crashing into a wall frozen
Shards of ice, shot into fragments,
through the air as a token
Of what two powerful people can create,
when energies start exploding
There our lips fused,
while icicles came crashing around the broken

Two people, dark histories.
Instant connection and pull, automatic bondable
I was forced to be with you,
through destinies designs and obstacles
I just tripped over you,
we fell into each other, it wasn't optional
The invisible rope dragging us as one, was unstoppable

To this day 17 years on,
I still feel the zap of the current to entwine
I understand now because,
even though parts of us were sublime
It was chaos in your home,
with our auras, trying to unite
We just bought the house down,
back when you were mine

But no other connection,
fired and froze my soul, this way
Acceptable or dreadful, wrong or right,
I can't forget your face
I wish I could neglect you.
I wish you peace, but faraway
It's hell knowing we have this,
still, till this day...

I wish God could stop me missing you,
with every step I claim
I hate having to care for you, cringe,
at the sound of your name
I don't wanna vent to my friends,
because we can't communicate
Bore them with my agony and anger.
I need this to dissipate

I wish, we didn't miss each other
from over a decade,
of a thousand yesterdays

Premium Member Fr - Comment Te Dire Adieu

peu à peu comme une rose
quand vient l’automne

B52's and Dire Straits

June 1987. All is well as we sit celebrating
my 30th birthday in the best little bar and
Dance club in our quiet little town. Empty
B52 shot glasses line the table and the
mood was PARTY. We all sat laughing and
enjoying the evening but then I hear
a birthday shout out with a dedication
 for my favourite song.
Dee de, da da Dee de de daa da
Dada Dee de dada de de de daa da
 Hu hu
Now I’ll never be able to tell you in which
order these take place because in my opinion
it all happens at once. Your blood pressure
rises to 200 over 140, my eyes were popping
out of their sockets and I was stumbling
to the dance floor with all my friends. We
weren’t about to miss one second more then
we had too of dancing to our favourite song.
With our legs already to go it starts
“Here comes Johnny singing oldies, goodies
 Be-bop-a-Lula Baby what I say.”
Out on the dance floor that night
we danced our hearts out and still to
this day, when I hear that electric organ
Playing Dee de, da da Dee de de daa da
my blood pressure rises my eyes open
widely and I start rocking from deep inside
 As I sing.

Beneath a Dire Moon

The moon hovers there, shining aloft,
its form the infamous crescent,
its glow so luminous as to reveal the rest of the orb,
oft-hidden when its time in the sky is not nigh.

Underneath, a fog coats the cold ground.
It floats eerily around everything in its path,
twisting here and there, suffusing the darkened morning
with a fell feel, secrets behind every bush and tree.

As my fellows and I trudge past a field to our left,
the mist reveals the obstacles we placed there afore;
in the sun, just part of training, procedure -
in these cruel environs, an ominous vision.

Barbed wire raises from a fence line
like the hackles of an angry beast;
threatening even we who emplaced it with its edges,
taunting our easily pierced flesh to embrace it.

Bunkers hunker down by the edge of the wood,
barely glimpsed openings once promising solace -
in this haunting setting they appear more as gaping maws,
showing to the world only a presence and visage of hunger.

Meant to hamper the enemy, defend those who built them,
on this macabre morn they serve more to menace their own.
Our bristling band hurries to pass that brooding breadth,
the horned moon vanishing at last from our unsettled sight.

The Dire Mistress

the dire mistress assails
she pursues a mans carmine sustenance
becalm her
with reality
with reason
in order to pacify her passion

If in need
desperately
become anointed, seek inner peace
join willingly with the angel
belong and recite with her
during her reaping song

hovering voraciously
over the carnage
a sliver haired woman
does appear
she is caped in gracing darkness
emitting reverential fear

a wanderer
stands alone
unmoved after observing this slaughter
he stands upon
a vast battlefield
located in the valley of desertion

the death angel
now recites in finality
she will impose
the wanderer
blankly listens
accepting his sentence with repose

before
termination
the wanderer is permitted
a last request
in hapless agony
he asked his wife to be spared

“Flee”
“my willowy wife”
“Become expedient”
“Alter thy motion”
“seek the safe albatross”
“in tranquil, translucent flight”

Long
vibrant moments
the dire mistress
performs her duty
O, how regretfully
the moan
of her singing scythe

Last being
perished
the mistress soon vanished
Valkyries
ferried souls away
leaving that undulating plain of silence

The willowy wife?
She was portioned
by flight
her winged sprouts
sultrily she laughs
avoiding the plight

To Say Adieu, Is So Dire a Crime

To say Adieu, is so dire a crime,
I said only once,
That same time
Her heart shred tears of pride
by the seaside.

I kissed her lips, so sweet and pale,
I kissed only once,
Like in a faery tale
A chaste fire warmed her face
With holy grace.

I cannot leave, beside her side,
I loved only once,
To this very day
The same girl that cried to see
her life with me.

A mulking it's agaluk
It sits high in proud symbololic

swindling down it's ivenya branch
A dull move for it's majected lanch
a walking man sees ten
It boldly sweeks blin
A watch from the gaven's eye
speeks anogon boutful surprise
meekly wandanla , A shooting star
sweeps at the moving speech
A nudeful sound so nar
squining it's passage

Dire Need

The Saints marched in
And in the din
So many dollars spent.
The stadium roof
Can stand a hurricane--
A category five.
What about the residents?
What will keep them alive?
Football is a pastime, yes,
An important one, it's clear.
The folks of ward nine might say,
"Where was our support this year?"
People live in trailers, provided
By the government, it's true.
Where did my Red Cross check go,
Mr. President, Mayor Nagin, I ask of you?
You on top say "you feel their pain."
I doubt it and this is why--
Unless you've lived on peanut butter
And macaroni and cheese--
Until the Saints march in and help--
"The lowest of the low,"
Don't show me a giant football field
When folks have nowhere to go.

Dire Guilt

It fills my heart all day long
Sometimes I ask what have done wrong
What it is, I can’t deliver with my tongue

Most times I get them in my bed
They never sieze coming true my head
At times they act dead
When I behave like a nerd

Too much to think of
Before you wake up it already takes off
My greatest desire is to turn it off

How long would I fight with you
You work on the past and nothing new
Received enough wet blanket your time is dew

A Dire Warning: a Journey's End

A big turd's journey nears it's end.
On the sheets it shalt not descend.

Now heed the warning I have said.
Please do not poop on the bed.

I know the pressure seems great.
And your bowel's contents nears its final fate...

but I must ask you to keep this in your head.
No matter what, do not poop on the bed!
