Premium Member Digesting Thankfulness

chew your food slowly
your daily bread
grateful for each bite

thankful for those
who sit at your table

wining
masticating
jittering

elbows leaning
mouths wide open
babies crying

but imagine no one
no food at all
not a crumb

mouse nervously chews his tale
dreaming of cheese

chew your food slowly
your daily bread
grateful for each bite

thankful for those
who sit at your table

Digesting Affection

I swallow my secrets,
sharp little shards of the bizarre
that would gossip of my weaknesses
if allowed to converse
with the light.

One by one,
they scratch along
a cervical bridge
between my heart and mind

before being accumulated
in a churning pit
of reason and conscience
that constantly folds self into self
and manipulates the flavors
of my life.

I never intended to invite you
into my sacred archipelagos,
I meant to sample the sweetness
of your flattery,
the ambrosia of the forbidden
and metabolize your motives later

but you defy my volcano
and oxidize in my stomach

an embryonic gallstone
feeding on the amniotic bile
that disintegrates
my most caustic emotions.

You could extinguish my hunger;
the lightless, empty craving
for content-edness
and alleviate the peptic erosion
of my islands
by accepting their idiosyncrasies.

But I fear you will overfill me,
nauseate me with your revolutionary rites
and that I will regurgitate
the occult within.

Yet, I can't suppress the craving
for more crumbs of your affection.

Premium Member Digesting Happiness

What did your grandmother tell you about happiness?

Bottom line,
All you have is your health.
Nothing about money or celebrity status at all.

Yes. That sounds familiar.
And, what did your father hope for your happiness?

He was more nuanced about happiness.
Or maybe conflicted would be a better word.
Happiness was maybe not the right question.
Certainly not the most important one.

Did he have a favorite aphorism?

You are what you eat.

Putting those two together, then,
You progress in absorbing health
as you conservatively invest in healthy nutritional choices,
and vice versa,
we progress toward further degeneration
as we continue to compete against toxins
from unhealthy environmental choices.

They both talked about the Golden Rule,
although not about nutritional choices.

If they talked about the Golden Cooperative Rule,
they were talking about healthy, nutrition-optimizing, choices,
conservationally progressive orthopraxis,
and co-arising feelings of trust,
rather than continuing to co-gravitate toward more competitive investments,
rooted in others' naive benighted breaches
of mentoring healthy integrated, digestible, investments
as you would have others mentor nutritionally cooperative enrichment
to and with conservational-progressive ego-healthy you.

Maybe my grandkids want to hear me say,
and watch me do,
Bottom line,
All we have is our cooperative health flow,
neither too Yang over-active
nor too Yin under active,
under creation storying,
integrity's nurturing, graceful,
karmic flow toward even further regenerations.

Yes,
and then too there is that business about
You are what you eat,
so you are also what you are eaten up and down by,
and for,
and with.

Premium Member Digesting the Past

Digesting the Past
David J Walker

Or
We can forget about it
And start over
Telling everyone we have
Taken new names

Or
Change the number
On our iPhones prone
To robocalls

Or
Take an alias on Twitter
Delete each other on tender
Another catfish on Snapchat

Or
move to the mountains
through back trails that
no one knows
but everyone goes there
subconsciously

Or
	We can think about it
Forever
Slowly simmer on one bad
Summer day that
Lead to a year of
poor decision making

The past is past
You say though still unable to
Digest the mistakes that
	To this day still
Block your airway

Premium Member Digesting Hypocrisy

His flock was really but a few
When incarnated as a man like me and you
But he had faith in his Father up above
As he taught us to defeat our enemies with love

He suggested we turn the other cheek
And reap the reward from the strength of being meek
There are many who say they’ve heard his word
Yet clamor to arm themselves with weapons – how absurd

Seems they relish amendments written by mortal men
More than the commandments he died trying to defend
So please, stop trying to convince me
I have trouble digesting hypocrisy

Premium Member Digesting Toxic Issues

My stomach
and lower core rumblings
and dis-communionations
hope for some further feeding
consuming way
to not merely tolerate
but gratefully digest
what my gut
won't easily
organically appreciate
and comfortably eliminate

Can only traumatically depreciate

Has trouble resonantly ingesting
what eyes and mouth
salivate to masticate.

Chewing
swallowing massive trauma
to consumers so enlightened
and healthily empowered
we cannot bow
to southern fried chicken-wing
mighty bite makes digestive right
toxic dogma
not nature-spirited
indigenously bright

Confused by preachy facile spirits
inexperienced with deep resilient peace
digestive therapy

Not ingesting further
poison punishments

Blames
and shames
against restoring strong stomach
and deeper digestive flowing innocence

Unconditional regard
for nutritionally healthy
nurturing
natured grateful spirits

Long experienced souls
avoiding win/lose congestion
indigestion
by choosing win/win
cooperatively immaculate re-conceptions

Well chewed
and communally swallowed
bread and wine
of full-bodied
root health chakra souls
exploring neuro-sensory communion

Anticipating panentheistic
intra/inter-personally wealthy
sacred pre-inceptions.

Digesting the Wooers

Like stomach acid
Your observant scrutiny
Digests every flaw;
While the weak wooers scurry
The patient one grows stronger

Premium Member Digesting a Poem From a Writer

Everybody has a story to tell
Publishers put the pages together to sell
Leather bounded and sewn
Message marketed over the phone
It takes days to years
Sweating blood emotional tears
A package arrives in the author’s mail
Books for donation or sale
A commentary on life shared
Creative interpretation setting off an understanding flare
No one gets hurt in fictional genre
Dropping subtle hints entertaining with drama
Is there a problem?
We do not know
Compose a story and let the angry discussion go
Expressing opinions in a debate
Could solve a situation creating the hate
Started by a mistake
Needing to be made straight
Acting like a safety basin
Novelist issues are ray sin
An antagonist with an evil glow
Displaying topics letting the pages flow
Next time a reader encounters a piece
Sit back and enjoy the typing tease
Put the red pen down
Listen to the writer’s sound
Contents on the electronic paper counts
Especially when the tension mounts
After closing a book
Digesting the meal from the penning cook
Exercising intellectual concern
Working out when the lesson is learned
A healthy imagination a must
When developing fantasy based on trust

Interesting and Easy For Digesting

Interesting and Easy For Digesting

What we found had been interesting;
Things are always easy for digesting;
Waiting for,
To adore;
New birds arrived and are nesting.
