Diana On the Wind
I feel her, wild and free, through forest glen
a whisper that delights in heady chase
enchanting kiss of apple wood embrace
above defiling hands of earthy men.
Through Jasmine dreams of days long past and gone,
I wield her bow with light and deft finesse,
not heeding mortal time, or shallowness,
devoted to the wax and wane of dawn.
I am her echo, boldly brave and true
away from all the tedious concern-
beyond the bounds where jealous eyes can burn
where fierce autonomy was sown and grew.
An independent Goddess, pure and bright,
I freely roam the smokey wood tonight.
