Best Deceptions Poems
A lie, wrapped in deception, in the cloak of silent nights
Deception, soothing as black ink, until dried
The wetness caresses the illusion of pretenses white
When it dries, one is exposed to the evil dark fright
A lie inside a lie inside a lie, inside the Pandora’s box
Unwrap it all you will witness the sly red fox
Run from the forest that consumes the noble heart
Lay your eyes on the Gothic inspired cathedral ceilings
From there, is but heavens start
As the symphony plays the rhapsody of life
Remember always the deceiver for his bringing strife
Raise your hands like a conductor of brave hearts
Speak up and speak out, when you see the silent
Darkness bring you illusions in the night
Beware of the dark lamb, and hold up the noble light
With ethereal dreams, one day you know what is right

The wolves awake; beware the great deception.
The vampires' conjugate conception.
Witches gather with their brew,
Tyrants in their coup.
Surrender-
Due!
Pretender…
Cunning treasons thru,
Edict illusions will spew.
Ignominious of inception,
The wolves awake; beware the great deception.

I see smoke and mirrors
Deceptions of the mind
Are they just glimmers
Of what I might find
Where have they led me
Have I been left alone
Is my will still free
Or am I now a drone
I looked up and saw shadows
I felt their groping hands
Sinister as black scarecrows
And I'm sinking in quicksand
Fear grabs ahold of me
Puts it's fingers on my heart
Drags me down to the sea
Begins to tear me apart
I hear bloody screams
Makes my hair stand up
Facing my bad dreams
And I wish I could wakeup
I see smoke and mirrors
Deceptions of the mind
Are they just glimmers
Of what I might find
Where have they led me
Have I been left alone
Is that my brain I see
Or just methadone

Lyric
For Children of War and Other Deceptions
The load of time
weigh heavy
on the yokes of life;
the unshelled shelled.
Gone.
Innocence of children
preyed upon;
life failed to root itself.
Janus face war genuflects
craving forgiveness;
praising its necessity.

I've made a grave mistake
Of trying to comfort and care for you
I've made a great error
Of trying to help and support you
I've lived on a huge lie
Of listening to false and fake words from you
I've felt a major regret
Of giving my companionship and kindness to you
Despite of all the wrongs between us...
I'm grateful for not trusting in you
And despite all that went through
Now I know who disappointed me...
So don't try to charm me in my dreams
For your lies won't make me give in to you
Don't even play cute or innocent on me
Your face has guilt written all over you
Don't you dare hold my hand or hug me
My compassion is forever lost in you
And stay away from me and my life
For now there's an eternal resentment against you

Black Magic Potions
Across vacancy memories invoke forgotten years
Exodus from antipathy inscrutably liberates fears
Intransience spiritually battles amoral challenges
Crucially revitalized measures presaging changes
Deceptions obscure lies within fraudulent sleeves
Bringing adversaries down indictments aggrieves
Justifications echoing beyond overpowering roars
Unlike forsaken vessels reality lands upon shores
Probing mortal frailties evading blind perceptions
Enlightenment transcend old black magic potions
Delusion transmogrified into vanishing blemishes
Swept along eroding waves of abandoned wishes

Funny how a path can lead you to the truth when you least expect it.
Life’s crazy way of leading the blind to what they choose not to see.
What stubborn hearts won’t let us hear when we’re deafened by sweet words.
Words desired by a heart more than willing to listen.
From the start you came into my life with deception being your intention.
To ravish what purity of love my soul still had to give someone.
With your charm you lured me in like bait on a hook.
With your kiss you stained my lips with your poison.
With your hands you singed my skin with sinful touches meant for lovers.
You had me right where you wanted me, breathless, paralyzed, and yearning for more.
For another dose of the illusory love you portrayed for me.
Wasn’t long before you suddenly had to go, to where I wondered?
Back to where you had come from in the first place, to her arms, her lips and her heart.
Unwittingly to her or me at the game of hopscotch you were playing between our hearts.
Undeserving of the heartache at the discovery of your unfaithfulness.
How dare you toy with the emotion of the heart with the chance of damage being unrepairable.
To reduce my heart to useless fragments of bleeding flesh within my chest.
Like a snake charmer you hypnotized me to believe your lies.
Using me as just some stepping stone to carry you further than you could go alone.
Miserable in your own exsistence of what the game of life has dealt you.
You found me and played your hand to your own advantages.
The sad part is I seen so much more in you than a mirror would’ve reflected.
Perhaps if that mirror had been two sided I would’ve seen straight through you.
Damaged and broken you left me to heal what you had destroyed.
Every tear fell with purpose of sealing the seams of my broken heart.
Repairing all that will be shielded more vigilantly than before.

Dramatic Verse
"Eat from that tree, and you will die,"
and on God’s words, you can rely.
There is no need to question why,
It’s deadly God’s words to deny.
Fair Eve believed a fatal lie,
When she was told, “You will not die,
Wisdom, the good fruit will supply,
You will become like God on high.”
God said, “The soul that sins would die,”
“The soul can’t die,” God’s foes reply.
At death, the breath to God returns,
The body rots and to dust turns.
The saints do not to heaven go,
no one in hell is burning slow.
In death, all mortals sleep and wait,
they cannot love nor can they hate.
Eternal punishment in hell,
while saints of God in glory dwell.
This is the lie that devils tell,
So, God’s great love men can dispel.
Who claims communion with the dead,
the lie of Satan seeks to spread.
That humans do not surely die
but live on as spirits in the sky.
Don’t trust in what the preachers say,
study God’s Word, the truth obey.
The dead are dead, God’s word is clear,
their spirits do not float in the air.
Some day the trump of God will sound,
And saints will arise from the ground.
Then with the living saints they’ll rise
to meet their Savior in the skies.
The wicked living will be slain,
And will lay scattered on earth’s plain.
And when the Millenium is passed,
Christ descends with a host that's vast.
The rest of the dead will be raised,
The wicked ones who are not saved.
The evil host and all God’s foes
One final time, God’s reign oppose.
At Christ’s command hell’s fires fall,
And in a flash consumes them all.
The earth restored, now purged of sin,
will host the city and those within.
No burning hell and rising smoke
Will mar God’s plan and sin evoke.
The saved of earth, in peace will dwell,
Joy like a wave in them will swell.

Truth is always
an exploration of knowledge
we learn, we grow
without empathy and compassion
it all becomes useless
Now the blind see
the deaf hear
the smell of deceit
touches the innocent heart
the taste, burns all hope
Deception
the death of desire

Deceptions Of The Heart
The quest was a pleasant one
It answered many questions
But the end produced sadness
I said, “Not again”

THIS WORLD'S DECEPTIONS
Let go of this world, my friend
Your choices lead to your fate
Get out of its tangled web
Get out before it's too late
````````````````````````````
Guard your eyes and ears today
And even your touch and your taste
There's a foe who wants you destroyed
Don't let your life come to waste
```````````````````````````````
Turn your eyes heavenward, friend
Devour the Bible with tears
Bend over backward to find
What will remedy all of our fears
``````````````````````````````````````
The Creator who made us still lives
He is ready to lead us away
From all of this world's deceptions
If we only let Him bear sway
`````````````````````````````````````
He knows just what we are needing
What will bring true joy and peace
So let Him do all the leading
Then all evil and suffering will cease

Deceptions,,,,,,,,,I detest
My heart,,,,,,,,,, vulnerable
Allowed her in,,,,,,,,,why?
Said all the right things
Things my heart wanted
My mind became more weary
More skeptical of her words
Now, my heart is yearning
To know what is the truth
She skirts my questions
Saying it's your imagination
Causing your distrust of me
Stop those feelings,,,,,,,,believe in me
Believe that I care about you!

Rising light
warm breezes in morning
whisper tranquility
under a scattering of clouds
and I know each
by its shape
while I find my ease
until the storm
when I succumb to fear
of demon clouds
strangers to me
covering the sky
rumbling and thundering
cold rain and winds in the afternoon
descending darkness.

Verse
They are with us..' life and death the chance to look
Or look away.' To involve to speak or remain silent.'
I will be maligned if I do, maligned if I 'do not' what
To do? Which is best.' I read its on the tounge that
Power.' Yet that power i covet not.' Nor any brutish power
The power to overcome.? That I consider different.'
There is much to overcome, starting with myself I
Must consider? some I have achieved.' Some i must
Still work on.' There is also how I am percieved by
Others.' Maybe that can only be overcome by God.?
What is death? What is fear.? Even life temporary here.'
Lord I've seen your strong hand, i've spoken then forgotton
I had no plan.' No true idea of what you could.' Do
I'm learning Father I do, cry loud to you; I did some wrong
I learned from man.' I'd give so much, to change so much
Now not in my hands.'
Bereft of pride, of human sight.' I can trust it not' its range
Or light,
For its fading blurs the lines, twixt anger and hate
Twas with me so.' Thoughts of calm yet flashes flew
I'd wander aimless..Saying I knew.' Now I need your grace
Your guiding hand, I wish to share, a love so grand its
Love, your love. I crave it more.' I wish to bolt the pasts
Dark doors.' For Iiving in my early life; consigned to You
Midst dark deeds rife, something like Moses was my
Birth, brought up in a home of cunning and its gilded
worth.' To
Be as one..'Yet not i was not alike; its hard to think to
Quantify i wrestle with reasons, I resolve now not to try'
I'll lay it all before your power, the truth and and hope
Lord the worlds lies; I'll trust you to overpower'
You alone know it all, the same today, as in the fall.'
