A Legend In His Own Mind

Who was that masked man?!?
Brian Williams, rides again.

He was in Amilia Earhart's plane;
even rode with the Dalton Gang.

The day the Titanic went down;
In the rescue boat when Rose was found.

He went on expeditions with Louis and Clark.
Once gave his seat to Rosa Parks.

He was actually the first man in space.
That shadow on the moon........ It's his face!

The earliest woman, they deemed to be
bones in the desert they named Lucy.
She was his niece, tho she drug her knuckles,
so he really is a monkey's uncle!

He walked miles and miles on the Trail of Tears;
wondered the desert with Hebrews for forty years.

He dated Cleopatra; drank wine with Moses;
gave the Queen of Sheba a camel and roses.

He's walked with Bigfoot in the hills;
been bitten by vampires, but magically heals.

He has had great adventures of every kind.
He's Brian Williams; a legend in his own mind.

Maybe I can be one of those news cast stars.
This is Arlene, reporting from mars........

Couldn't resist this little tribute to the wild stories of reporter Brian Williams who was fired for seemingly padding up his stories....

(Duo rhyme in Honor of Mary Ports)

Butterflies & Moonbeams

Of things that inspire I will write
Whether things of day or by night
    Butterflies and silver moonbeams
    Upon the quiet water gleams
Azure heavens where a hawk screams
    Sunsets repainting awesome themes
    Trees shade meandering cool streams
Yellow Stone where old faithful steams
    Fireflies & double rainbow dreams
All made of magic so it seems
Enchantments entice my delight
With wonder I will dream tonight

Premium Member Murder In Our Town

At Dalton town where I was born
in Ozark hills of home,
There lived a man named Leamon Brown
who plowed the rich, black loam.

His wife, a sweet and gentle soul,
did not foresee his bent,
she daily worked beside her man
who seemed to be content.

But in his heart a wrath appeared
to poison spirit's peace.
When reason left, his anger grew
and clawed to find release.

He stepped behind her where she sat
and bent to kiss her lips,
withdrew his blade and slit her throat
while blood streamed down her hips.

In panic's grip she fled the house
but stumbled soon and fell.
The children screamed in frozen shock
and dove straight into hell.

One son ran to his mother's side
and held her as she died.
His siblings hid from daddy's blade;
he stood there, glassy eyed.

As gossip spread like raging fire
of murder in our town,
the newsmen raced to pen details
as lawmen dragged him down.

His deed became the hottest news
to ever hit our town
The judge declared the man insane
this man named Leamon Brown

Now he is locked behind closed doors,
his wife lies in the ground.
Though we lament the children's fate,
his kids are sorrow bound.

Good Versus Evil

4/30/18

The prequel
Of good vs. evil
Did they ever consider each other equal?
One side peaceful
The other deceitful

In the beginning
Neither side was really winning
As the globe continued spinning

Brimming
With things that were living
Meanwhile one was only taking and one was giving
Back to the Earth while grinning

While existing
One was focused on fixing
And enriching
All the while being uplifting

The other one was drifting
And always tricking
So a bad reputation began sticking

Endless blood spilling
From all the senseless killing
Sad that they found it thrilling

Next came the middle
Each side continuing to chisel
Away at the other little by little
Even though it never was all that simple

One remaining civil
The other trying to swindle
And cripple
But the opposing side wouldn't let it all dwindle

There had to be an end
Did no good to pretend

One a true friend
The other only there to condescend

One wants you to ascend
The other wants to see you descend

One would send
You flowers and a letter that was penned

The other wants you dead
And to never see you again

There's something to be said
For those that bit the hand that fed

One saw many opportunities ahead
The other was always seeing red

Finally here comes the sequel
For the people

Still to this day good and evil
Co-exist as they have for many a siecle

Sped Up Or Slowed

2/8/17

Straight, curvy and bumpy roads
Some with cones
All across the globe
Tools made of stones and from bones

Got to stay in the zone
Wherever I may roam and rove

Certain boards bowed
And automobiles had to be towed

Money being owed
And loaned

Waters with or without foam
And lawns that do or don't have gnomes
Regardless of if the grass was or wasn't mowed

Above and below
Where waters flow

By way of the crow
Or as it was written in an ancient tome

In areas with buffalo

Troves hidden in coves
And groves
And other places unknown

Every since way long ago
Time has shown

Tasks done alone
And on one's own

Experiments involving clones
And surveillance done with drones

Faraway and nearby home
And any other abode

Hung up the phone
If it wasn't about money, then quickly came the dialtone

Due to the weather events getting postponed

Skills and wisdom are important to hone
Whether you're full of estrogen or testosterone

Coagulated blood was found on a robe
While it snowed
The full moon glowed

Near the motherlode
Located at a node

Time seemingly sped up or slowed
Objects getting thrown away and sewed

Meanwhile the population continued to explode
In and out of areas that did or didn't errode

Old and new episodes
Information and emergency calls being radioed

Items made with many materials, sometimes chrome
Or silicone
Stadiums with or without a dome
Capable of being able to fully close

Within and beyond areas that have or haven't been combed

Better stay on your toes
Continuing to row
As the wind does or doesn't blow
Effects ripple and domino
Despite if you have or haven't chose
Because that's how life goes
Stay sharp and composed

Redundancy

6/12/20

What time is it? It's time to get some money

Think harder, Stop being a dummy

Beating a dead horse, only the first time it was funny

With me, don't try to get all chummy

At one point, my life was crummy

Now, I'm turning it around, working on recovery

Whether cloudy, snowy, windy or sunny

Feeling like I got more animals than human buddies

My cup is always muddy

I don't like my eggs too runny

I'm into you girl, you're sweeter than honey

Is it all going to end slowly or abruptly?

For many, certain subjects are touchy

To put it bluntly

I desire a woman that will love me

But how can I, if I'm a weed and alcohol junkie

At times I've been fortunate or unlucky

In a world, that can be beautiful yet also ugly

I'm lonely, I'd like some company

Too bad, I really thought she was the one for me

Feeling strangely different, suddenly
In the end, I aim to come out triumphantly
I refuse to live a life of redundancy

People just love to rant
And leave their stamp

I get relief from a plant
To make up for all the love I lack
The end result, could be lungs that are black

I consider myself a decent chap
Unlike all these other cats
Many of which are whack

Individuals still talking crap
Just about everything they say is cap

In a place so vast
This life moves fast
Far too long, I felt like an outcast
And was downcast
Now I plan to outlast

Resources were scant
On terrain at a slant

My clothes and shoes got damp
So I set up camp
Before I'd need a lamp

I weathered storms like a champ

Never thought that " I can't"
Eventually packed up and headed back
With the help of a map
It was a wrap

Folks often vent
About how things went
Whether it turned out good or took a left

All these presidents
Continually spent
You'd think it was for some event

Maybe if I really meant
To put forth one hundred percent
I'd reach the furthest extent
As things augment
And orient
Which is the overall intent

Twenty Four Hours

11/17/16

He did not hit no home run, it was a grounder

How many cabinets or counters

Have some sort of white powder

Many meals cooked with flour

Familiar with the Two Towers

As well as Wario and Bowser

Head up, regardless of any times being dour

Nagivating around sharp objects that could be eye gougers

In certain waters, swim flounder

Certain individuals working as a bouncer

Or with web browsers

And many more, but I'm not going to name them all like an announcer

Some just want the money and power

She wanted exotic flowers

And a dog that was a schnauzer

Objects being restored and scoured

On a planet with unexplained mysteries and strange encounters

There is so much you can do in twenty four hours

See for yourself unless you want to be a doubter

This place by the ocean has some of the best chowder

Classic like "Wallace and Grommit in the wrong trousers"

Nocturnal hunters and night prowlers

Wolves are quite the growlers and howlers

By black holes matter being devoured

That which does not can ouster

I always like rain and thunder showers

Girl, of you I could not be prouder

I'll buy, now let's go get some sweet and sour

To Put It Bluntly

8/3/18

Life is not just about being world renowned
Or wearing a crown

Currently lost instead of found
In your eyes, I can see the pain, right now
Get rid of that frown
Gain ground
Turn your life around
Hold it down
Don't be a clown
Unless you want to drown

Not too late to rebound
Make your mom proud
She deserves to be feeling up in the clouds

If only more people went to the pound for a hound

To put it bluntly
I'd be lucky
To find someone that loves me
In a world that can be so cold and ugly

Thinking somebody would care
Looking around everywhere
And never seeing anyone there

Torment and despair
You got to be aware that life will never be fair
It's something that needs to be put into the air

Too bad if it's more than you can bear
Don't be scared
Get prepared
To reach beyond the top of the stairs
So start earning your share
Since everything experiences eventual wear

Got yet another itch
Which is getting rich

It's time to take some risks
Use your gifts
Keep your wits
About you, and watch your six
Because life is full of tricks
And can be hit and miss
Don't call it quits
Persist and have your spirit uplift
If you really want to get your fix
Watch out because you might get more than you wished

Before life starts to fade
And ending up in a grave

Be brave
Turn the page
Make a change
Regardless of it feeling strange
Soon enough paths are paved
If you gave your all and never caved

Big

8/27/18
"Big"

You're a puppy, I'm a big dog
You're a guppy, I'm a big cod
You're a tadpole, I'm a big frog,
You're a piglet, I'm a big hog
You're a shrimp, I'm a big prawn
You're a baby, I am King Kong
You got a twig, I got a big rod

You're a dud, I'm a big bomb

You're in a puddle, I'm in a big pond

You're weak, I'm big and strong

You're a pawn, talking to your king wrong

You're too unsteady, I'm ready for anything this life brings on

You're still unemployed, I'm working at a big job

You're smoking out a little pipe, I'm using big bongs

You're giving up, I continue to dig on

I'm the truth, you're a big fraud

I'm as real as it gets, you hide behind a big facade

I got not a single piece of bling on

I'm part Klingon

You like it diluted, I like my drinks strong

No time to go back and forth like ping pong

You have no idea about what we on

So you best begone

And take off in your Dodge Neon

She asked if I listened to Big Sean

I said barely, soon followed a big yawn

She said, you're not like all these ding dongs

She just really wanted to see if I had big dong

Then said it's big, oh my god!

Rotten To the Core

9/15/16

Across the lands and shores

Plants and spores

So much life in different shapes and forms

Many storms cold or warm

Always been an omnivore

So I eat vegetables like corn

And meats like albacore and boar

I don't care about the odds on the board

It's about so much more

And not just the reward

I'll continue to row without an oar

Near and far from the seafloor

As well as any trees such as sycamore

One up the highest score

And maintain a good rapport

I've always had an interest in lore

Minerals and ores

I'm not rich or technically poor

Worse than any apple, some people rotten to the core

Such foolish things people support

And over such petty stuff people go to war

Still there are areas on this Earth that have yet to be explored
And possible fossils of new dinosaurs

Looking up at the full moon shining beyond so many other orbs

Farewell

5/12/17

Go ahead and tell
Hide in your shell
Or run away like a gazelle
Don't like your intent and what you try to sell
Farewell
Catch an L
Rot away and smell
Then burn in hell
On my mind, it will not dwell

Throwing shade
On my name
It's nothing new or strange
What some will do for clout and fame
Is beyond a shame

I'm going to turn into the ace of spades
And a jack of all trades
Bury what remains in a legitimate grave
Then carryout another day, while still feeling the same

A new century
Another enemy
Out to get me due to jealousy
I can only imagine how it is, when you're a celebrity

Your not going to shorten my life expectancy
Or any chance of longevity
Due to me thinking sensibly
My own integrity
And a sudden surge of adrenaline and energy
No R. I. P. for you, or memory

One Heck of a Trek

7/29/18

All over the road, about to wreck
One of many causes for yet another death

Too many chickens giving each other pecks
They just look and rubberneck

Person overboard, from falling over the deck
Luckily they had on a life vest

No offense
I don't want to sit around and work behind a desk

Far from over yet
It's been one heck of a trek

I currently work at a vet
Helping take care of people's pets
With care and respect

Putting forth my best
Situations being assessed
During the quest
Making progress
Taking continual steps
Striving towards success
And nothing less
In order for it to manifest

Otherwise there'll be regrets
Like all the beer I buy and drink at my own expense
Knowing it can have harmful long-term effects

Taking occasional time to reflect
Great and not very well is how it went

I wasn't making a dent
Until my intent
Went to the furthest extent
And was one hundred and ten percent
I got more than I ever dreamt

Near and far from items made with hemp
On days and nights with a drop or rise in temp

Such a f***ing mess
What the corrupt have been doing is grotesque

I'm not going to repent
Or lament

Occasionally I disconnect
From the internet

Took off and left
Went camping, pitched a tent
Then took a rest
Somewhere out West

For time I'm pressed
I got to jet
From the dirt back to cement

Taking care of business, and running through a check
Zero time to focus on petty things, no bigger than a speck

Yes
I confess
I'm lonely, I guess

Now let's
See what happens next

God bless
When my time comes, in peace I'll rest

Brand New

10/17/19
"Brand New"

I'd be damned to quit
Putting out some brand new s***
With a brand new drip
In my a step a brand new skip

Brand new tint
Steering wheel with a brand new grip
In a brand new whip
With a brand new chick

On my hip a brand new stick
With a brand new clip

The man who's lit
Got a brand new script
Just picked up a brand new zip
And a brand new brick

No better time to make a brand new flip
Never been brand new to it

It was time to get a brand new skiff
So I bought a brand new ship

Blessed with a brand new gift
As well as a brand new shtick

On my shoulder a brand new chip
Ready to take care of this brand new itch

Towing a trailer, in a brand new truck with a brand new lift
And a brand new hitch

Found a brand new niche
Only out for brand new not no kitsch

Accomplished it, and now got a brand new wish
Currently on a brand new mish
While solving a brand new twist

Companies advertising a brand new pitch

She got surgery for some brand new ti**

In a state of brand new bliss
In the air a brand new drift

The tectonic plates near a brand new shift

Soon in the sky a brand new eclipse

Purchased some brand new kicks
About to use some brand new tricks

All these brand new cliques
And brand new pricks

I'm going to handle it
In the dark, don't need no candlestick
It's my problem, so i'm dipping my hand in this

Stunning crafts like amulets
A planet full of inhabitants
Areas full of contaminants
Sitting atop their palaces
People obsessed with extravagance
Others starving and ravenous

Not all became graduates
Some got into accidents
Causing a state of paralysis

Folks so haplessness

This life is nothing short of fabulous
The verdict wasn't always unanimous

Still into cannabis
But not abstinence

Got it done, regardless of short handedness
Near and far from waters with platypus

I'm working on my own analysis
The results shall be nothing short of miraculous

I'Ll Be Your Joker

7/20/19

"I'll be your Joker"

Still a registered voter
Signed up to be an organ donor
And finally became a car owner

I rarely use a controller
When it's time, I'll man up and buy a stroller
As well as panels that are solar
Near and far from areas that are polar

Doesn't matter if I ever get a Range Rover
Or Roadster

I'm barely ever sober
Always been a loner
And stoner

3 months away from another October
If you want to be my Harley Quinn, I'll be your "Joker"
Not no poser

Where are you Scully? This is agent Mulder
Anytime you want, I'll be your shoulder
To lean on
From here to way beyond
For eons

Where's my Marge? I am Homer
I'll be your rock over and over
Since I've gotten nobler

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I've seen it so much, I could compile a folder
Life's one giant rollercoaster
It's really revving my motor
All these women giving me a b***r
And then the cold shoulder
As if I am an ogre
I remain a soldier
Drinking high end coffee, no more Folgers
Getting wiser and older
Becoming bolder
As the world gets colder
I'm not feeling dolor
Just multi tasking, while a fire continues to smoulder

Maintaining my composure
Finding closure
Getting closer
To greatness instead of being mediocre

I enjoyed the work I did with several growers
As well as trapping some gophers

Occasionally I'll partake in poker
Even though I'm not the best hoaxer

Once or twice I used a fire stoker

When it came to Mary Jane, I was a doter
A fan of it's fragrance, it's not what I'd call an odor

I consume some products made by Clover
And am usually in places considered remoter

It's time I get a toaster and holster
I don't really need a Flame Thrower
Or to get my face on a most wanted poster

Suit yourself if you want to wear a boater
Or choker

Houses in continual foreclosure

Not always wise to go for the price that is lower
Someday my mind and body will be slower
And one day it'll all be over

10-4 over and out
And now you know, what i'm really about
Not just by word of mouth
As they say don't look a gift horse in the mouth
Regardless of if you had your doubts

Often

4/27/17

Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn
Changes rarely or often
Occuring by the top of the river mouth and at the bottom
Near and far from fruits and vegetables still fresh or rotten
As well as any flowers starting to blossom

Fields full or barely with any cotton or pollen
House that do or don't have a black cauldron
On the walls paintings or posters of batman and robin

I stood solemn
And navigated inbetween columns
Before I saw a downtrodden
Individual with the stature of gollum

They were drinking some concoction
Out of a goblet and eating an opossum
Inside a sodden area full of toxins

I had options
But stopped to talk and help if they had a problem

Untrusting and unresponsive
Until they started to soften
When I spoke truthfully, they began feeling awesome
Then reached the goal, by using their noggin

Realizing we all are allotted
So much time even if more is what you wanted
Whether or not you paid homage
And seeked wealth and knowledge

Always had a little or a lot in common
Many a times I have fallen
Been long forgotten
Heed with caution
And watch it
I'm coming in with more speed than an aeronautic rocket
And the force of a super sonic comet
Sorry that it makes you uncomfortable and on the verge of being
about to vomit
No I'm not, to be honest

The reason the house is so called haunted
The monster underneath your bed and inside your closet
With more clarity than any prophet

Amid molecules that split or bonded
Lines remained dotted
Or connected in and out of any quadrant
As the universe was in constant
Motion with occasional paradoxes
