Best Cylinders Poems
I remember Cleopatra's moon,
as triangles of time
unveiled pyramids embalmed in
juniper, incensing golden dreams.
While in desolate dunes
of the sunrise Sahara,
I've engraved your initials
with pearls and diamonds.
For in lunar silence
when cylinders of stars
embellish skies with hieroglyphics,
destined twin flames ascend.
You’ll remain a musical~
maestro, choreographing our pilgrimage
to attain heaven beneath
henna herbs of love.

Voices choral, chimes of clay ring out
oh so merrily to a wintry sky
And earthen sounds once silent, still, now shout
in harmony and majesty, they cry.
A brightness sheers the air as metal sounds,
long cylinders of brass clink in the breeze
like childish laughter each fresh note abounds
a thankful note the past year to appease.
In churches, mosques and temples they sing
as clappers sound the tone around their rims
forged of metal, or blown in glass, they ring
resounding as the hours of this year dim.
Rejoice, rejoice a New Year has begun
Goodbye they toll and sing here comes the sun.

Do the immortals cry, what happens to divinities
Tears, crystal shards of frozen miracles, cascading
From the heavens above, swallowed whole by
Mother earth.
In the abyss of darkness, within caverns dark and deep,
Lies a hidden chamber, of wondrous creations.
Glittering stone shingles, that hang from cave ceilings,
Crystal chandeliers of opulence's brilliance, shining on high.
Diamond cylinders, made from the weeping heart, of a divine
Spirit himself, a stone garden of sorrows tears.
Exposed to reflected light's illumination, oh so do they
Shimmer and sparkle, rainbow prisms of color, frozen
Molecules held prisoner in status freeze.
Nay water is life itself, a living element of nature,
Creations clarity, a universe within a universe.
Oh in such magnificent beauty, lies this sacred
Vision, of this the almighty’s most secret garden.
Seeping mists of moisture rise, enveloping the
Flickering rays of lamp light, adding an eerie
Obedience to this textured display, in this
Almost blackened realm, hidden beneath the
Earth in fathoms deepest depth, the artistic hand
Of God can be truly felt.
Ricocheting light randomly strikes against variations points of
Color, setting aglow from the blue hews, to purples
Fuchsia, a palettes splashed array, bursting forth
This underground aurora borealis.
In granite's cathedral of stone, split by the elemental,
Giving birth to fusion, exposing natures raw force of power.
A blending between spiritualism, and science takes place,
To create this grandest of masterpieces, that I call the stone garden.

Those early days of passion when we went at it like rabbits
now long since have been replaced by crochet, crosswords and such habits.
A sudden wave of passion and straight up the stairs we tramp,
only to find when both undressed that one of us has cramp.
And changing our positions gets a knee thrust in the guts
or worse still there's that sudden scream from badly twisted nuts.
The last lap interrupted by the call of someone's bladder
or the window cleaner falling back in shock from off his ladder.
Those days of quiet bonding now replaced by loud commands
or the cursing from you rolling over, trapping both my hands.
The elegance of Karma Sutra that we used to know
now replaced by Sumo wrestling from a pair of buffaloes.
So nowadays when our urges flare we wonder do we risk it
and end up lying side by side with cups of tea and biscuits.
Should one of us find that we're now on all cylinders firing,
we'll have a hug and just hold hands-
since that is far less tiring.

Seek for truth in the inward parts
out of our mouth make sure is TRUE
that’s what edifies our whole character
truth is what’s wanted on view
Are we really the helping kind?
going out of your way to be HELPFUL
that should be our motto in life
so that we live by this golden rule
Consider much all that we say
to others ears is it truly INSPIRING?
Make it to lift other folk's heart
So all their cylinders are firing
Do we consider what’s the purpose?
these words are they really NEEDED?
make sure they prove worthwhile
not just wasted but wholly treated
It’s so good to have a merciful heart
to look out for others and be KIND
folks respond to that attitude
it’s like a lost coin that you find
So THINK long and really hard
put this motto always in your mind
keep it close so use it often
change this world for a better kind
(This is an old one from 2016
an inspiring motto for life.
True
Helpful
Inspiring
Needed
Kind
Ask yourself, are these things true of me so THINK.)

Forty three years of marriage and still you make my heart beat strong
I never wanted to be anything else but your wife and loving song
Together we walked, jogged and trotted but most of all we danced,
to the rhythm of our first hello. Every loving act was a show of love;
When we were young we danced between sleepless nights and drank
the brew of life as if it were a fox trot of maelstrom haze;
Then the kids left home and we found ourselves alone again,
Phonographic unused cylinders of time crooned again
with love songs from Edith Piaf;
You wrapped your arms around my waist and gave me a beginners taste
Life had been good to us but oh how we lived it in such haste...,
Then we got a second chance, and we did it just so
losing ourselves on the living room floor,
we danced like newly weds on their wedding day;
That was the last time we danced together without goodbyes,
today all I own is an old phonograph, and yesterday's slow sighs.

The Mechanic
Frank Halliwell
Sam was a gynecologist,
But he'd done his last swab,
For after ten long years, he had
Grown weary of the job.
So he took down his diploma,
And the shingle off the door,
To seek a new horizon for
His talents to explore.
Now trees and shrubs were not his style
He'd shun those jobs botanic,
But wheels and gears might be the thing
..He'd be a car mechanic!
So off he went to take a course
To learn how someone solves
Why cylinders go up and down
While gears and wheels revolve.
He graduated at the top,
The hero of his class.
His marks were of the highest
Any student had amassed!
To-morrow was the 'practical',
The very final test,
And each and every student
Would be straining for his best.
An automotive engine was
Spread out along the floor
And he had just a single hour
To make that engine roar!
Sam was the last to take the test,
The head judge waved okay..
A wrench was slapped into his hand..
The test was underway.
His fingers moved at blinding speed,
His moves precise and neat.
And long before the closing bell
The engine was complete.
He nodded it was ready and
A judge switched on the key.
The engine roared without a miss
..Sam was the top trainee!
He was awarded record points
The reasons obvious!
When asked about those record points
The coach explained it thus:
'I've never seen a job so slick,
Without one washer lost,
...Or seen an engine rebuilding
Performed through the exhaust..!

Redneck Car
my redneck car is no junk
eight cylinders, what a hunk
beer cans over the floor
to enter there’s no door
the back seat is sometimes my bunk

Life in an instant, a blip
A rockets fuel cylinders spent
Through the vastness of time, a footprint
In the grand scheme of things, just a dent
Still unique to this planet, perhaps universe
So self aware, blessing or curse
To know you're so small, yet potential so great
Live life with love, throw away hate
Care for the poor, hungry mouths fill
Don't live with regret, that most bitter pill
Reach out, feel, care and give
Fulfill this limited time we live
Greed and envy will not satisfy
Or fill the void you're hiding inside
The truest reward, goes beyond earthly realm
Travel to Heaven with God at the helm

Eco-Friendly Vehicles
By Rick Rucker
As an infant, when I went outside,
In a stroller, with circular wheels, I would ride,
As I became restive, and wanted to roam,
My parents bought me a trike, so I could leave home,
It did not last very long,
My legs soon became far too long,
My next wheeled vehicle had four,
One in front, one in back, and two next door!
It was shiny, and very neat,
With training wheels, and comfy seat,
It was really sweet,
But limited, in that I could not cross the street!
As I became somewhat bolder,
Truly, just a little older,
I ditched the training wheels,
Adventurous for me, but hardly worthy of news reels,
On that bike, I learned to steer,
In my neighbors’ eyes there was much fear,
At a very, very young age,
I got a motor bike, which was all the rage!
Possibly not the best thing I ever did,
But it taught me to try not to skid,
Many times the locals would see,
Blood from me, on the street, or a tree,
I have since owned several cars,
But, thank my lucky stars,
I seemed to sense the score,
The maximum number of cylinders of any of them: four!
I have recently bought two bicycles, for me and my fiancée,
So we can exercise, and play,
I laugh when I think of how much gas I have saved,
So someone else could drive his Escalade!

THE SNOW FLAKE
What happens to angels tears, as they fall from the
Heaven above, into diamonds of ice so are they
Transformed, turning, spinning in the atmosphere.
Until unique unto themselves, white pieces of
Frozen lace, perfections icy miracle, descending
From the blue hewed skies of Nirvana.
Covering the last leaf of fall, one by one
The power flakes glisten beneath the October sunshine.
Crystal shells of ice, freeze into water cylinders,
Forming sickles of decorations, that hang from
Every house and tree.
It is truly a winder wonderland, so beautiful
That the angels themselves come to behold,
What their teardrops have made, as a single
Feather falls from wings of grace, it to turns
To ice, and is blanketed beneath the freshly fallen snow.

My love cars
My first rendezvous
was Honda Civic iVtec
black automatic,
1799 cc, 4 cylinders
130 bhp, torque 172Nm,
Stole my heart
speed bound no limits,
Left me for a new owner.
Shunning loneliness,
Magnetised by
his macho shape
and pearl white colour,
Graceful eye to eye
luxurious costume,
I let his lusty belt
embrace my waist,
One button start
and we were together
Adrenaline gush
to a four by four,
Off road
over tough terrain
wondered his guts....
2800 cc, 4 cylinders
178 bhp, torque 350Nm,
Pajero Mitsubishi
my passion SUV.
Five years later
as it betrayed,
My heart cried
Grief of parting .....
Toyota Fortuner
my next fortune,
D- 4D, inter cooler
Turbocharger 2982 cc
168 bhp, Torque 343 Nm
Walked into my life
tough milky white,
Hugged me dear
wiped my tears,
My next love
its exquisite walk,
I try to escape those
Green eyed monsters
those road runners....
One Land Rover
Range Rover evoque
is now eying at me,
Waiting for
another heartbreak....

The Wonder Mobile broke today
Of course it would happen
Why wouldn’t it
4 cylinders running on 3
Getting out to push probably much faster
Poor little Corolla
It had a hard life.
Neglected some love’n
It pees all over, grumbles when it starts
Brakes kind of funny, but the horn is loud
Might not stop on a dime
But you will hear me coming
Washed twice in 11 years
Driven around the block to go next door
Years of waking up in wonder
Will my car start today?
Am I catching the bus today?
It all caught up to me today
Maybe I will drive to the Ferrari lot
Trade it in, what can I get
Maybe I will humble myself
Fix the Wonder Mobile
Give it some love’n
And wash it a third time
=======
True story, my car really did break today.

What is your assignment? Why are you here?
Do you know your purpose and are you prepared?
Many of us are lost and in a state of confusion
We don't know our purpose and have come to no conclusions
We need to realize that it's our attitude and relationship with Christ
Which will determine our altitude and our aptitude in this life
To not concede during seasons of chaos and destruction
To believe that God has our back with a heavenly production
To comprehend that the Lord God answers to no one
As He is the Creator of everything under the sun
To fully understand that God makes the final choice
Amen, so be it He has the final voice
And it does not matter how complex or crazy is the task
Your assignment is to do whatever the Lord God asks
And you don't have the luxury to participate in the decision
For God's plans are designed with heavenly precision
He knows what you're capable of and what you can endure
And He will fully equip you to do your assignment and more
Just have the spirit of excellence when getting the task done
As it will separate you from those who always cut and run
For the beauty of excellence highlights the ugliness of complacency
And complacency is the trait that God had no desire to see
A God sized assignment requires that you do your best
And with a God shaped attitude you will ace the test
But first and foremost do a true self examination
To see if you're still able to handle the situation
To now think critically and take a second look around
To see if you're still operating with all cylinders on the ground
And if a God sized shift must be made
A new horizon in your life will be laid
And every aspect in you will be rearranged
So that you can bring about true change
Never forget that the depth of your God relationship in this life
Will be the foundation of how you worship Christ
Just don't get it twisted by misunderstanding your assignment and your role
You can't replace God for you ain't got that kind of power nor control
Just pray that the Lord God finds favor in you
And that His grace and mercy will come pouring through
A God sized assignment requires a God shaped attitude
Just be excellent when doing the task that for you God did choose

A day’s of hard work,
and serious issues to handle,
though some hiccups may arise,
in order to erase these hiccups,
we need to have some fun,
and laughter is only the best medicine,
to cure on these hiccups hands on,
for this,
we may not travel afar,
just take a look at Indian politics,
quite laughable as it is,
wherein a number of issues,
had come to the forefront,
mostly related to the cap on cylinders,
and the FDI in retail,
wherein a number of politicians,
cast a number of political ambitions,
of becoming the National leader of our Motherland,
but have no concern for the citizens,
living in here,
wherein the bridge between the poor and the rich,
gets wider and wider,
it is not the pursuit of political ambitions,
which the citizens want in here,
it is the solutions to various problems,
which they want,
and as such there is no politician,
as fit enough for this purpose,
are they really fit enough,
is the question and as laughable as it is,
it is time for the younger generations,
to take the plunge into politics,
wherein they need to cast over their fear,
and political apprehensions,
and save their dear Motherland India,
from all troubles,
and to make their Motherland into a Paradise!!
