Crown of Thorns
Crown of Thorns

A trace of thorns you are
on my body,
I am an eternal traveller,
never stopping.

You are the bitter predicament
of my comfort,
Traces of sensual pleasures -
The mist of a veil is...

Crown of Thorns
Red rose petals in the wind
Falling gently to the ground
tainting red God’s blessed earth
Darkness descends all around

Cries of anguish pain and sorrow
A mother’s heart bleeds for her son
Bound and nailed to a tree
bruised and weakened, just for me

Crown of thorns that...

He Wore a Crown of Thorns For Me
Whenever I feel discouraged,
Or am just too blind to see,
What purpose there is for my life on earth,
This thought is what comforts me.

I think about a Man Whose Name
Means, oh, so much to me,
You see, He wore a crown of thorns,
That He might set me...

Crown of Thorns
Wicked weavers weaved
Sharp thorns into a crown
Meant for all who frown
Where sin is conceived.

O you anointed head
Do not fear that crown
Though it may pain now
The sheep leave not unfed.

(Read John 15:19-21)...

Premium Member A Crown of Thorns
People said it was not Jesus' crown,
For pricked blood flowed as it would from any wound
And no miracle was seen.

People said that Jesus' head would not have fit
As the crown was small, too small,
And all the thorns looked new.

But every day the people prayed,
And one...

Premium Member The Crown of Thorns
King of Jews they would mock
Making a crown of thorns
To place around His head
That He might look foolish
To make an example out of Him
For their king of this world
Had a crown of wealth
If only did they know the thorns
Would symbolize what kept them...

In Purple Cloak and Crown of Thorns
In Purple cloak and crown of thorns
The soldiers mocked Him majesty, but
Jesus died for you and me
The high priest charged
Him with blasphemy
He will return for all to see, thus
Bring the sweet reward of eternity...

A Crown of Thorns
No matter what I do or where I shall go ---
My devotion to GOD must be without hesitation and never slow ---
Fore my salvation came to me freely and without delay ---
Allowing me to enter the Lord's kingdom, come what may ---
Until that time arrives,...

Crown of Thorns
Whenever I have a headache
I think of Jesus and his crown
of thorns…

Can’t imagine the pain, he must
have endured, from the thorns
digging into His flesh…

So whenever you, think your head
 hurts badly, think of Jesus
and His Crown of Thorns…

Crown of Thorns
she always smiles at me
when we meet
once our eyes locked
I saw what was on the inside
pain and hurt
broken dreams
and a broken heart
we all wear crowns
of thorns
tomorrow
I'll make her smile
reach to her
around the broken dreams
under her broken heart
give her love
make the damn pain
and...

Crown of Thorns
Cloning the emperor,
assuming the throne
knighted impostor,
unregally grown

With hell for a kingdom,
his scepter ignites
flames burning memory,
a mirror’s delight

The queen held for ransom,
 a prince in his bed
jester on fire,
all subjects rebled

A rival approaches,
the bishop a swan
his guillotine royal
—beheaded in song

(Beaupre: November, 2021)...

Crown of Thorns
Martyr or devil?
To be denied all salvation?
I decline,
That thin white line is one I wish not,
To cross,
Despite the beauty burning on the other side,
Petrified,
Of that which is unknown?
I look upon the crown of thorns the radiant light,
I know my rest is eternal....

Crown of Thorns
the bitterness dies and so does regret
like the wind from the mountains
that shakes all the trees
we change what we can and bury the rest
no questions of why or who knows what's best

it is all curled up, resting demure and sweet
laying face down, harmless and still...

Premium Member THAT OLD CROWN OF THORNS HE WORE FOR ME-
THAT OLD CROWN
OF THORNS HE WORE for ME

That crown of thorns
Set upon His head
Needled poke, pricked, bloodshed
Though the crown of thorn
 Was mocked
 Replace His Kingdom Crown
 Evil Humanity thought
 Instilled with my God
So yet He's lives for me
He His...
