Best Counterbalance Poems
Okay time for some happy upbeat stuff
And I'm just the guy that can bring it
Mr. Happy is what some people call me
Is there any other way to be
The world is filled with nasty stuff
There's enough of that going around
Need something to counterbalance it
So start grinning and singing and acting like a clown
The world is just a great big circus anyway
Might as well add your unique perspective
Can't get worse, only get better
So c'mon youse guys!

“What A Wonderful World”
© Jack Ellison 2014
The snow before honey hued sun flees
The rivers begin to unfreeze
The fragrance of field flowers and bonfire is carried by spring breeze
Catkin begins to grow soon flowers will be pollinated by bees
Transverseing the linen blue visage of heavens is the flock of returning geese
The stillness of the meadow gives you false impression that everything is at peace
But wonders of both natural and supernatural never cease
And at spring time their output will increase
The amber colored leaves of ramifying willow stretch to the sky
They look like mosaic made from oceanic depths to anything that above them will fly
Its soul is like someone would make its cells transmogrify
Into bizarre form that in strange sideline of the mind will lie
The abyss of those forms to such immeasurable depths leads
That absolute counterbalance to make it real it needs
But neural flame those boundaries exceeds
And neural flame fueled none linearity is what this ability feeds
Tall and magnificent is poplar tree
But about its visage is something eerie
Poplar sways in the wind nearby a great sea
Poplar is tall but can’t reach the edge of sky anymore than to see
Past the great sea
Sea
It is very big sky goes for infinity
Yet in this lost cause I admire poplars beauty
Wind blows through poplar tree
And that is what one day will allow it to see
Far past the sky and the sea
To view time but not one known to you and me
The time seen by poplar tree
Is echo that only divine counterbalance can allow one to see
This time is like the wind of destiny
Far past infinity or continuity
That wind knows what meaning of life is to be
And any other question of philosophy
It can answer what is beyond philosophy
And because of it my soul looking at poplar tree will be free
Sun beams down softly in a summer sky
Towards the endless linen horizon following flock of geese falcon will fly
The golden grains like essence of the soul will lie
Opening is the Great Eye
The Linden tree roars in the wind smell is sublime
In wind transverses from divine counterbalance echo of time
The honey, bees make from linden nectar is delicious and prime
To understand philosophy beyond counterbalance can take lifetime
How long is eternity
If it’s not infinity
If eternal form gave its pearl of wisdom what would it be?
Would it be sweeter than fresh honey made from linden nectar by honey bee?
Emery
Emery had a nose of stone,
An outgrowth of his weighted mind.
Of alabaster was it honed
Into a feature aquiline.
Its heft was such that Emery
Would counterbalance with his jaw
By upward thrust of chin; thus he
Intended to reduce this flaw.
But, oh, his lips contorted and
His limited perception showed
Only a level, skyward span
And never anything below.
Many men were victimized
And many things they valued, too,
Because poor Emery was blind
To that which was not in his view.
The morning of one winter’s day
He walked a promontory ridge.
Poor Emery saw not the way
But fell. It was the last of him.
Magic opens paradox of omnipotence and destiny
This is something of incredible beauty
If storm of points beyond destiny
Having no reference point to time would be
How far eye can see
As far as its biology
No, as far as spirit can see
At the base as far as not bound by time destiny
Beyond destiny
Would be beyond all life’s tree
The paradox is no longer paradox and one can see
Beyond counterbalance and through divine be send free
So how far would eye with spiritual lens could see
To it what time would be?
Human mind is not designed those things to see
But if man could not only see it but touch it what would he be
Would he turn evil or be
Being of divine mercy and majesty
What would no pun intended be his destiny
Would he be or would just like the rest of us only wish to be free
Time I’m talking about not time one can measure would be
But something purely abstract more so even than idea of destiny
But if this is the case what beyond abstract would be
But all of those are just stepping stones to me
War fire flames pain
Every attack seems in vane
A soldier fights through the pain
Before he will go insane
He kills his enemy with his last breath
Before he himself welcomes death
One of the soldiers crashes through enemy ranks
But ahead of him is battalion of tanks
After colossal battle air is dense
The losses on both sides immense
The survives on the battlefield smell lead
Many are wounded many are dead
The dense mist covers the air
Last rations of food survivors will share
The powder smoke is in part reason for the mist
Warrior comes through the battlefield clinching his fist
The reason for the fight was political
The war was now cyclical
Some hated the other side
But many did not wish the armies to collide
They had to fight
Soon long day will turn to night
Sunset is beautiful but red like blood
And this fight shore cost a lot of blood
Warrior thinks of his lady back at home
She is now all alone
He has a break to visit her
For luck she gave him strand of her hair
What should he give her when her he’ll see?
What in this hell could be worth her beauty
He searches through the mist next morning filled with dew
Red fire blazing grass gives him a clue
Against still dark fire is eerie beautiful red
Not so beautiful but equally eerie is blood of the dead
But away from the flames in the morning fog
There is wild orchid towering above old log
The air around it is very dense
But the smell is different it awakens spirit sense
It’s not smell of powder or lead
For a brief second warrior forgets ordeal he just had
He picks up the flower from the center of battlefield
At that moment with new hope his heart is filled
Next day his lady he will see
As he gives her the orchid for a second he feels free
The orchid may fade but its soul will never die
Just like love soldier and his lady written in the sky
Beyond non linear equations there is universal balance
Beyond that divine counterbalance
The written law of that starts with physics and soul
Grows beyond all control
But one thing it will not grow beyond and that is the key
It is idea of destiny
But orchid seems to grow beyond destiny
And in that lies its beauty
Its mesmerizing majesty
And holding it for brief time every soldier and their family felt free
Birthdays were always shared.
Two cakes sat mid-table,
‘Happy Birthday’ was sung
with two names instead of one.
I did not like being a twin,
having a sister the same age,
always being labeled more
as a composite, having
a shared identity, a part
instead of being a whole.
I felt as if I was diluted.
I did not like the fuss,
being different than the other
boys who blended seamlessly
together at school when I
was singled out. My sister
was the devout one,
unquestioning whilst I
was the opposite, the dark
shadow in contrast to her light.
My world was an unlit room.
It was so for most of our lives,
obedience versus rebellion,
extrovert versus introvert,
traditionalist versus radical,
she a lover of boundaries
whereas I busted far too many.
My sister has been dead now
for a decade. I miss her,
my dear twin,
the counterbalance to me.
Fire and brimstone earth has formed
Not always was it that this planet moon adorned
But after core formed earth was hit by planet size of mars
That created the moon making our planet unique in system maybe all systems of stars
The moon formed a tilt and seasons came to earth
Algae formed from very primitive life and generated oxygen without which earth
Would be just a ball of dirt
And stage was set for complex life to evolve on earth
But the very primitive was life at the beginning for certain
Yet what if this life would combine with life that could generate cold fusion
Life that could create neural flame
Life that being able to control universes laws would proclaim
As mathematical nirvana is at the base
Immortality grows to omnipotence and forces beyond that find their place
The destiny and things even more profound in counterbalance show their brilliance
Spirit grows beyond its bounds and visage beyond math is above it all creating new essence
The essence grows with starting point higher than this very visage is
From there every esoteric thing from this point of view understood is
Esoteric from this previous or next point of view are all equal in an abyss
Together they form divine bliss
But what if this grand force would be just a base
Like very primitive life that on earth firs found its place
What if this life combined with what is divine compare to it?
This new form could accomplish almost every feat
Yet this idea also at the base of my thought is
What kind of idea would form if thought belonging to this form is?
The ever growing nature of this system would form new continuity of time
And that is what makes this power so sublime
Because earth was hit by planet size of mars
It is unique in systems of stars
It might even have its own soul
And if man follows the earth’s light the earth might have already shaped in him greatest life form of all
Three young kids sit on the double swing
In nearby woods nightingale will sing
As kids swing on the swing
They talk about everything
They talk about adventures in distant places
Light of joy lights up on their faces
To the south tropical beaches
To the north cold breezes
The animals like polar bear in frozen tundra
Mongolian death worm in distant Asia
Wolves chasing caribou following the alpha
Komodo dragon, ropen from New Guinea, and Indian king cobra
View from the swing is far towards north, south, east and west
Each of brothers will have his own quest
The swing is place where they will rest
As they will expand their families crest
The swing reaches far to the air to great expanse
The vastness of that expanse
Makes children’s young souls with joy dance
It is like a dream a romance
But as fresh air reaches the lungs the vision inside it will turn to transcendence
The vision of to universe counterbalance
The spirit that will begin as one writing universe laws and end in brilliance
Equal radiance at the end from base and planetary destiny absolute eminence
In worlds most distant waters children want to swim
But for now let them dream
Swing so small so large to a child will seem
They will remember the wonder years when one day they realize their dream
South is beautiful
Rolling hills are wonderful
Meadows stretch for infinity
Each is a sea of flowers and grass in all majesty
Forests are ancient but not too dark
Winding like ribbon river next village will mark
People are friendly and warm
Meanwhile from the north comes a storm
North is empty with little trees
From the tower everything devil sees
The air is cold and dense
You feel an eerie sense
Uncanny thunder makes men shrivel in fear
The distance between the thunders immeasurable will appear
Yet lightning crosses that distance in a flash
Whole world trembles as it makes that dash
It is the devil himself in the thunderstorm
And to protect yourself miracles you must perform
The lightning creates scar visible in the sky
Get to close to it and you will die
That scar is a scar on Mary’s breast part
And it is end of everything if it reaches her heart
But if you survive the addition
You find yourself in unique position
What glory hides beyond thunder I do not know?
But neural flame is behind much smaller storm
But it is inside counterbalance that is this large storm
And when its secrets are unraveled heaven beyond storm might flow
The binary star is about to come close to the sun
By the Stonehenge new day has began
Yung children with Stonehenge mystery have fun
As down the slope of rolling hill they run
The huge moonstone sapphire mirror in ice grotto hidden
Going there on wrong day is forbidden
The grotto is probably somewhere in Brittan
Fighting against Rome’s oppression it was probably ancient druids last hope beacon
The mirror great shadow on the floor will cast
The quantum vortex with whole accountability the numbers are vast
To see seal of Saturn to look into the mirror one must
The later spheres past counterbalance destiny point of view no immeasurable is just one of many, dust
The accountability rises the power of spheres right through
The reflection of the soul appears in the mirror view
If the essence of the heart is true
The Summum bonum will be there too
fresh blossoms daily
fragrant beauty displaces

Note:
Soup poet, Demetrios Triflatis, posts photos on facebook of the flowers grown
in his roof garden. (He also shares these photos with his poems)
Demetrios, is a man of peace. He is obviously a skilled gardener. He is a poet who radiates hope.
Sharing photos of natural beauty nurtured by his hand is a tremendous gift to the world
and a spiritual counterbalance to the trend toward vitriolic monologue on social media.
Thank you Demetrios!
The air is dense and clouds dark as coal
The lightning puts boundless dread in a soul
The tempest’s fury grows beyond all control
The horizon looks grim in whole
As rain pours down on earth fire rages in the sky
The wall of water cannot be seen through by an eye
As windy typhoons from shore will fly
Anything lightning touches might easily die
Human destiny
Is equally
Fiery
Even if at first man it cannot see
But suddenly
A sublime splendid majesty
Sun comes out in surreal radiance and beauty
Above the shore of lake or a sea
This is the counterbalance the divine
The splendor beyond any bloodline
To practice it will put new design
The shining beacon larger than life itself that divine with soul will entwine
This creates new version of time
As it looks towards final echo of time
What makes it most sublime
Is that that echo is visible from base so what would see ever-growing soul in its prime
Alien device finds its way to Earth
On earth there is time of rebirth
Young boy picks up alien stone
Suddenly he feels like he is not alone
What he sees before is great castle with a tower
But it was not build by alien power
He recognizes it as castle from Earth’s past
To know its story he feels he must
He sees in a castle girl gives a knight a rose
Seeing that for them to be together knight will propose
But knight first must go to fight on a battlefield
He picks up a saber and a shield
The battle is fierce as fire consumes the sky
On this field many brave warriors will die
Knight trough enemy ranks his lance runs through
At once he kills more than a few
Lance breaks but estoc he will weald
But he lost his shield
With estoc he wields saber weapon of last resort
He can do hits from arm and wrist with this sword
He is a great warrior but he can’t’ protect his back
And a musket shot gets him in the back
If it was arrow armor would protect him from that dart
But musket hit him right under left scapula right in the heart
After seeing this story boy tells his mother
She tells boy’s father
When mother gives the boy goodnight kiss
She sees how upset he is
But boys’ father is working on kind of a flower of his own
Mesmerizingly beautiful flower of nebular dust that in space will be thrown
It is a probe shaped like a flower with laser light and vortexes in their full majesty
And its mission is to change control and go beyond destiny
Boys’ father puts right coordinates in
And battle goes differently after it would begin
The knight survives and in late hour
Returns to his love with the rose flower
They get married and are happy ever after
It is the fairytale ending that we are after
With power beyond continuity counterbalance or any shift in destiny
The probe aiming to go beyond destiny
Gives opportunity
To get more than infinitely
Close to being free
And that is great destiny
