Best Complicates Poems
...dedicated to W.B. Yeats, in response
to his poem 'When You Are Old'
When you are young sweet innocence abounds,
your step is gentle, all your dreams are free
of grim disquietude, such joy you see
as gaily you discharge your daily rounds.
Your heart is light, bereft of grave concern
that troubles him whose purity is lost,
who argues and contends at any cost,
who complicates and twists at every turn.
Simplicity must be your cornerstone,
strengthen your heart against all sorts of strife
that undermine a childlike view of life,
strive and prevail, lest innocence be gone!

New city, new state, different house and job
Everything you thought you knew, from your mind now robbed
Adapt and change, try to cope, with every task and chore
All new people, love gone by, complicates it more
Every part of essence, now seems stripped and stained
Spiritual awakening is one thing that remains
Feelings, signs and visions, guide you to your landing
The truest way to grow, embrace your lack of understanding

I'm lost in the sound,
lost in the music,
trapped in the decibel,
caged by the keys,
hidden in the rhythm.
The maze of harmony
complicates my gyrations
controls my movements.
Encore, over and again
is the pattern of this composition
I'm lost in the sound,
i dont wanna be found.

Idyll (Idyl)
Finding an image to focus on
My mind lifts my soul with song
Simple... my perceptions changing
Negative vibes rearranging....
Yellow daffodils spring to mind
So early a blossom, winter shines~
Sweet and hollow its trumpet appears
Soaking up sunshine as snow disappears
Crisp and bold flawless in scheme
Long winter's magical dream
Blossom Daffodil all around my lawn
Adamantly filling the crisp damp dawn
Boldly obvious blossoms in snow
Complicates winter with her glow
Daffodil arrivs at winters' end
Offering hope to a despairing friend

Ambiguous Loss**
(a paradox of presence and absence )
(coined by researcher educationist Pauline Boss)
You disappeared.. without a last goodbye
a story ends incomplete, holding on to hope
beneath frozen tears, an ambiguous sigh
an uncertain mystery, tell me how to cope.
a story ends incomplete , holding on to hope
you are dead or still alive, an unresolved grief
an uncertain mystery, tell me how to cope.
ruminating worried thoughts , never in relief
you are dead or still alive, an unresolved grief
a persistent sorrow, where have you gone?
ruminating worried thoughts , never in relief
in cold storage you live, how do I move on ?
a persistent sorrow, where have you gone?
beneath frozen tears, an ambiguous sigh
in cold storage you live, how do I move on?
You disappeared... without a last goodbye.
**Ambiguous loss is a loss that occurs without closure or clear understanding. This kind of loss leaves a person searching for answers, and thus complicates and delays the process of grieving. (Wikipedia ).It is prominent when a loved one goes missing , soldiers lost in action , the family live in continual loss difficult to reconcile .

In the shade of a Cali wat Lao I debate with Ajahn Anan
What the secret Rakshasa Sutra must really look like.
In Lao we call them Nyak or Yuk or Yak. It depends.
When they’re hungry, what do names matter?
I ask: “Does a zombie have Buddha nature?”
He informs me the mindless craving for brains
Complicates things.
He suspects Frankenstein’s Monster is closer to Nibbana
But don’t quote him on that.
An American werewolf in Luang Prabang
Would stand no chance against a real Lao weretiger.
Both should still try to observe the five precepts as best they can.
If he was going to make a special wat for robots
He might name it Wat Lao Robobuddharam
But they would surely have to learn
To get beyond artificial binary worldviews.
“You aren’t going to turn this into a poem, are you?”
He asks.
“That’s nothing to be afraid of,” I assure him.
“Usually.”

Your presence is requested.
Sometimes giving presents is complicated.
When giving presents your presence is usually expected.
But sometimes you can´t be present when giving presents.
So when giving presents, presents such a problem,
it is always better to be present
or
your presence will be missed
and
perhaps be resented.
That complicates matters
because not only your presence
will be resented
but your presents also.
Even more complicated is
if you are presently
thinking about presenting a present in the future...
plan it well because to be present in the future
you will need to wait until the future becomes the present.
and if you wait too long the present will have become the past.
If the moment has past without your presence
then your presence too will have
past.
In conclusion
In the future...
remember to be present while presenting your present,
because the present becomes the past and the present is the future´s past
which never lasts very long.

Pro Patria Mori
Missouri volunteers bit bullets, watched
as Santa Ana's baggage washed
their brazen hair, hip deep
in the Rio Grande.
The ancient river moved across the land
Like slow drool down a leather cheek.
Bang! Paul Bunyan's balls
rolled down the Great Divide, rattled
across the porcelain sea.
Oh, the girls!
Hair hot and black, Whoopee!
Their tongues as pink as baby fat.
Now tongs drop a hissing crepe
on the defoliated plate. Butter complicates
our fingers, soils the bib.
We crack a claw. Like a crib
at Benin, wary and dull,
the eagle fills his nest with skulls.

Generally, no kiss does attract opposite
But, necessary of course
For a definite purpose
Like in intercourse
Kiss is important incidence.
Kissing stimulates
With the same gender it complicates
But, more importantly with opposites.
Nevertheless, for opposites the more
Kissing is very afflictive!
Don’t joke….
Kissing is an ingredient between mates.
Kissing the lips is passionate love
Kissing the head is respect, irrespective
Kissing hand is submissive
Kissing the sensitive is to seduce
Could turn into malice unless you love
Kissing at times is to bid goodbye.
Kissing game
Sometimes for a price
You need to have practice
The spirit is drowningly, torridly enjoyable
Fullness in the act is a consummate
For opposites it could be explosive.
For honeymooners they need a license
Yet for live- ins never mind
But to be alive…
Kissing superhuman is superbly exhaustive!
In the biblical tragedy
Judas betrayed Jesus when kissed.

Rage fills my brain
As these fists come up
Regrets visualize
Suicide some
Anger overtakes my body
Evil complicates
Goodness fades
Waking the death
Upon these grounds
I bring back those
Who once stood around
Knifing your gut
Slicing your skin
Opening cuts
Bastard sin
Evil communicates
I stand by
Listening
Waiting
As you die
Last moments of breath
Last moments on Earth
Find your way out of step
Daggering threat
I visualize
Your sacrifice
For your kindness
Angers me

Can I be as strong as you say I am?
I know I have strength after all I've made it through
But to let other's in, I don't know if I can
They always abuse me or use me or hurt me,
I shut them out, I don't know what else to do
I built a wall so long ago, inside my mind means nothing
I'm glad you push me because it makes me better
It makes me scared when you say to trust you
I don't know what you want from me and I know you don't get it
You say don't let one man make all the other's pay but
That's not how it is. I would love for one man not to do the same
It makes me nervous to tell you anything about myself
But you promised not to tell or use it against me
So I'm learning how to trust you
Something I thought I'd never do
Knowing I'm gonna have to pay for this
Despite all your promises
Now even though you're moving away,
I know this friendship will be mine in the end
Thank you for cracking the shell
Thank you for helping me grow
I might not be as strong as you say
But I'm growing because you showed me how
And the best thing is you're not moving now
My new best friend is here for me
But don't talk about marriage please
I love you and I want it to stay that way.
Sex only complicates things
And marriage is hell on earth

Bio
It feels like a permanent hangover.
The pain only stings once I have become sober.
I come to terms with life and realize the game is over.
Sometimes it's hard to grasp realities.
The rough times in life chip away at my sanity.
I consume these toxic liquids to conquer insanity.
Still hard to manage.
Hectic suppressed thoughts push me to an internal rampage.
Can't get over previous chapters because it's too difficult to turn the last page.
On a world stage, they try to play me like a puppet from afar.
Been burned to the third degree and had to endure scars.
Attached to things because some things don't need change.
Often when change reigns it complicates things.
Boils the blood pumping through my veins and causes me to lose my sane.
For better or worse, I make adjustments.
Sitting at the edge of the world watching a sunset.
Relapse back to old ways, in my young days, when I realized the world was like a gauntlet.
Times in this fabricated world, when my human nature was taunted.
Living nightmares like dreams haunted.
Positivity in a new life daunted.

Dizzy-like state
Stumbles as I walk through the darkness
Hoping God hands me a lantern
Faith is my game plan
I have become the strategist in this chess game
How can something as serious as life---
be a game?
Changes molding my clay in this kiln
Money only complicates this hardship
Knowledge should serve as the answer,
But I remain unsure
Dizzy-like state
Illumination is but a mere fantasy....

It is an organised disarrangement
Quite arranged in a disarray
Prepared to confuse you
For you to right the confusion.
It is a thoughtful arrangment
For you to think very well about
Any misplacement you do
Gives it a wrong placement.
The answer is always there
But it takes your deep thoughts
Wrong answer complicates the setting
Yet only a correct step away.
Look difficult when lightly assessed
Could take your whole time solving
Yet easy with a deep thought approach
Taken less than no time solving.
It is an activity for sharp minds
Tasking the store of knowledge
Who look for the connecting piece
That makes the puzzle a clarity.
