A SONG THAT WILL ONLY MAKE SENSE
                    TO EAST COASTERS! (CANADA)

A heritage that we all share, our blood is maritime.
We thrill to see the Bluenose, her picture on a dime.
Emotion for an ocean, gray Atlantic ever by,
Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI.

We’ve been to L’Anse Meadows, explored the Labrador.
Cruised the Ponds in Gros Morne Park, fished Caplin from the shore.
Raised a glass at Crow’s Nest, saw the sunrise Cape Spear beach.
Sang along with Great Big Sea, kissed the Cod and drank the Screech.

We’ve inner tubed the Nashwaak, fly fished the Miramichi.
Been to Historic Village in the heart of Acadie.
Climbed the Big Bald mountain, walked on Fundy’s floor.
Coasted up Magnetic Hill, scoffed at the Tidal Bore!

A heritage that we all share, our blood is maritime.
We thrill to see the Bluenose, her picture on a dime.
Emotion for an ocean, gray Atlantic ever by,
Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI.

Sang “Farewell to Nova Scotia|”, drank Rita’s tea as well.
Danced all night at Ceilidhs, been to the Citadel.
Strolled the shore of Baddeck Bay, where the Silver Dart took flight.
Walked the wharf called Fisherman’s, the rocks at Peggy’s Light.

Sang “Bud the Spud!” with Stompin’ Tom, watched splinters fly away.
Ate lobster at church suppers, could hardly walk away.
Picked potatoes for the farmers, back in our childhood years.
Crossed Confederation Bridge, eight miles long me dears!

A heritage that we all share, our blood is maritime.
We thrill to see the Bluenose, her picture on a dime.
Emotion for an ocean, gray Atlantic ever by,
Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI.

A heritage that we all share, our blood is maritime.
We thrill to see the Bluenose, her picture on a dime.
Emotion for an ocean, gray Atlantic ever by,
Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI.

Premium Member West Mountain Road

We made a trip to town today
And took West Mountain Road.
My friend and I prefer that way
Back there, where time has slowed.

We drove past farms in rolling hills
Where cattle grazed in shade
The creek we crossed wore summer frills
A flowery masquerade

Huge towering trees were thick as thieves
Which hid us from the sun
Still on occasion, through the leaves
He'd tag us on the run

"round hairpin curves, slowed to a crawl
As slow as one would walk
Protected by an old stone wall
Ignored by squirrel and hawk

We reached the summit way too soon
Rewarded by the view
The height and beauty made us swoon
One reason most eschew

It was a roller-coaster ride
We marveled at our luck
A quick descent down the backside
Wind swirling in the truck

We coasted all the way downtown
To shop and grab a snack
Then raced before the sun went down
To take West Mountain Road back.

Premium Member Adventures of the Wee Three

They drank too much at a watering hole
Three gals lost their wits, went out of control
     Men ogled and flirted
     Desires so perverted
The girls checked out before meeting each troll

But three liters of wine quickly passed through
So their journey home went a bit askew
     Their kidneys had been filled
     An urgency instilled
They needed release, but there was no loo

As they coasted up the seaside highway
All three were suffering in much dismay
They had to park the car
     Alongside a “wet bar”
On a rock jetty the trio did stray

They complained how easy it was for men
Jan wished she was a rooster, not a hen
With their backs to the sea
Pants down, they took a pee
Before they got home, they did it again

Moving House 1

Moving house

Breaking news, time- brandished
My auntie moving house
Joining the last of the dots of blandishments

Left dangling by kin far and wide
While she coasted in the east

Gonna cease to be where
Her great grandpa felled
Trees to make doors for a dwelling,
Which helplessly helped the exodus

By Tamravarni
Which is also river like her
And in movement like her intent.

Mr Politician

Where were you when i lived on gunshots and teargas,
When the violence intensified and put fear on us,
When the police brutality coasted me a friend and my face,
When the eviction notice saw me part ways with my place,
Now that you are all suits and tie,
You ask for my vote and leave me to die,

Internally displaced in own motherland,
Why should i flee while the perpetrators walk Scot free,
Have the culprits been brought to hand,
Those who had us bath in our blood in the killing spree,
Now that you are all suits and tie,
You ask for my vote and leave me to die,

You promised me free education,
But the tax you demand is like buying a nation,
And what of the infrastructure you promised us,
you wouldn't know when you are always flying above us,
Now that you are all suits and tie,
You ask for my vote and leave me to die,

You bought my trust last time and fled,
And being a fool i trusted you and bled,
Fighting for you to have a better life than mine,
But now that you have it, to me you are busy,
Now that you are all suits and tie,
You ask for my vote and leave me to die,

I know about you now, Mr. Politician,
You beg me then pull a fast one like a magician,
Ive seen you transform from 'Hope' to 'Hopeless',
It's my time now, for you i care less,
Now that you are all suits and tie,
You ask for my vote and leave me to die,

My Fire

When I go home damn
Its really quiet
Never thought I'd find this amount of white noise
In the pitch black face silence
As I flip scenarios of something like self inflicted violence
making, my room, look....just a lil more stylish
I'll douse the walls with my wrist's imitation of your red fingernail polish
Seems like
The riot in my mind may have leaked out
Some sound and the floorboards of this house still creek but a paddle im
without
Drowning
In my surroundings
Thought my flow would let me float on but ya boy ain't so buoyant tho
Fall in to the blue sky's reflection as I plummet into my foe
I'm a machine, can't have water get too close
Not afraid of water, because I can't swim
Scared of depth and darkness, and oceans will force me to give in
I don't wanna share my lungs
Lemme breathe for me
Please

Fraid uh water because I've coasted the trans-parent sea
It's weird when you can say "my parents see right through me"
Custody war
But I lost every battle
Reached for anything
All I got was a broken handle on everything

Vices

Sex life flowing down south with her g string and sex appeal
I need to
but cannot feel
As I challenge my demons to a battle
Im kind of like the scent leading the pack to the cattle
Never really see me coming
But I'll lead you to something that'll have ya bowels runnin
Digestive tract star
Ingest every bar
And when you're done im the ****
Even if you ain't really like it
I mean if you want,
Glance at my ego leave a scar
Or get impressed call me a star
My stride the only thing between me and going far

Serpentine with your actions but I call you baby
Cold-Blooded
Now I see why you stay so shady
because to me it seems like you've got nothing but an innocent rattle
Blinded, because I let my lap become your saddle

Your reflection yelling at me im surprised you couldn't tell
Treating me like I was the first Angel sent to hell
If Jesus was a lamb I can be your scapegoat at the very least
Sacrilegious sacrifices, looked past the fact I'm actually a feral beast

Shook, like a Harlem shake rattlesnake attention deficit rook
Playin the say it wit ya chess game and I wrote all the books
King disguised as a pawn
I'll put myself on
Competition going down
South
Hit that nae napalm expellin from my mouth

My fire...

The Man and His Shadow

He whistled as he coasted down
The lonely road
The passing wind tugged at the tail of his docile cloth
"You see that, Shadow?" He said
"They are jealous of our company"
The shadow grinned and patted him
"I'm with you"

He flipped his fingers
To the accompaniment
Of the rhythmic sound of his steps
As he surged forward
The travelling birds
Chirped above in the sky
"You heard that, Shadow?" He said
"They don't like our company"
The shadow grinned and patted him
"We're together"

He hummed to appease the fear
That stood with the night in the offing
"Shadow," he said "don't panic.
He'd grant us a pass"
"Man," voiced the Shadow
"It's getting dark,
I've got to leave you"

Escaping Illusions

Escaping Illusions

A person can only take so much
Guess you ran out of luck, huh?
What’s next? What did he do? What didn’t he do?
You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

How can she treat you like a king?
If you can’t understand what she speaks
He never says what he means
Don’t you get it? She’s not your queen

Anyone can solicit some explicit lines
But actions speak louder than words
Keep this mind for the next time
He’s trying to find his true love
Make her your one and only
Cause ignorance hides behind falsifications
So lonely

Love and attention…
Was it too much to ask for?
She gave you a hundred and fifty percent
Nothing less, but nothing more
And to think that your expression was heaven-sent
Well, looks can be deceiving when you exaggerate to escape
And procrastinate on the moves she wanted to make

So what’s to blame?
It couldn’t be fame
We all know this game
It’ll never change
So all of his excuses are long term and lame

This expedition has expired
Send this message as “URGENT”
She’s ready to ride out without him
Cause he’s no longer worth it…
So pack up her bags and leave everything else behind
Cause you’ve coasted in neutral for the very last time

Out of sight and out of mind
Until the next time we see eye to eye
Closure from the unpredictable
These are her good-byes

The Laundromat

In another lifetime, I was there
As sudsy clothes, a’jumble,
Went round and round until removed
In damp and twisted tumble.

Into the dryers they would go
While I just sat there, reading,
To help the time go by so boredom
Skulked away, receding.

When dry, the folded sheets and such
Into my cart were nestled
And schlepped to my apartment,
Up five flights I daily wrestled.

We moved within a year to where
Our building’s basement hosted
A bevy of machines to which
An elevator coasted.

Yet when I pass the laundromat
There’s surely no debating
That I don’t miss those days of carts
And inconvenient waiting.

Premium Member My Li'L Old Noggin

So what's in my li'l old noggin today
Fighting it's way to the top
I never know where it's heading
Or where it's going to stop

I'm surprised as much as you guys
My fingers just type away
No idea where my poems are heading
Just trust what I'm going to say

Trust that it will all make good sense
Without using naughty words
Sure you know the ones I'm referring to
Like hell, and damn, and turds!

Oops there I go, this one slipped through
Should have edited before I posted
Please forgive me this minor discretion
By me, it quietly coasted

Maybe it'll be bout my sexual prowess
I'm old but I sure ain't dead
“C'mon Mr. Ellison, you lost it years ago
You're living on memories instead!”

So what's in my li'l old noggin today
Quite sure it'll never be blank
All those years, a multitude of memories
Had an action packed life to thank!

Apostle Matthew Encountered

Apostle Matthew encountered...
artist, dragon and gangster extraordinaire

Here at 2 Highland Manor Drive
Schwenksville, Pennsylvania.

Actually all three people
linkedin to each other courtesy
Dissociative Identity Disorder
(Multiple Personality Disorder).

Wiccan up to mystical alien way
I raptly listened as she didst soothsay
scanned -- din heavy yen reference
about paganistic folkloric history
regarding Sweden and Oslo (also) Norway.

The missus dubbed
aforementioned young gal "curvy girl,"
a zaftig smart young woman
super talented self taught herself
to draw, sketch, and paint.

Only unmarried millennial men need apply,
perhaps someone who hails from buckeye
state - ideally above average
humorous gallivanting fellow
plus somewhat meshuggeneh cockeye
Louie garden variety
wealthy eccentric recluse
who doth blatantly defy
establishmentarian paradigm

you rarely espy,
cause he stays sequestered
about dozen doors down
from (femme fatale) ha
said alluded to chick named
three faces of Jen Fry
easy on the eyes
courtesy me, a generic guy,
who experienced amicable chat

referencing aforementioned lass
the first encounter with her
found yours truly saying "hi"
devoid of ulterior motives
only casual acquaintanceship did I imply
cuz even if this former bachelor
(got married twenty fifth of July
nineteen hundred and ninety six)
hypothetically decoupled,

cuz the age difference between us
quite substantial qua aging baby boomer
born two years after Bridge
over the River Kwai
filmed - then rocked to sleep
courtesy Brahms lullaby
if fain to sire offspring with lass
(young enough to be my daughter)
kiddos would witness their papa to mummify

Our friendly communication
peppered with structures of silence
coasted along with zest
and dialed up quite lathered dialogue
betwixt us I do attest
mutual comfort level quickly established
between yours truly
and said attractive beefy babe,
who possessed killer thunder thighs
shaking the entire firmament.

Attila, Hannibal, and Genghis Khan
Were comparing the many battles they'd won.
Hannibal boasted o'er the Alps he had coasted
On elephants and conquered the Romans.
Khan's hordes did maraud both at home and abroad
In places they'd ne'er make their home in.
When Attila's turn came, he said, "I'm to blame
For campaigns that make you look like babies.
Of God I'm the scourge, just like lint is to serge,
And I'll brook me no ifs, buts, or maybes.

How these guys (very unheroically) ended up:
Genghis Khan fell off his horse and died of his injuries; Attila died of a massive heart attack on his wedding night after a huge feast of celebration; and Hannibal died of suicide by poison.

Hosted a Big Party

Hosted A Big Party

Heard a big party is what they hosted,
To great success  cruised and coasted;
Great view;
Always knew,
And about both bragged and boasted.

Did Determine That Divulging and More

Did Determine That Divulging

We Did Determine That when divulging,
What happens when you are indulging;
Had eaten a lot,
That we brought;
For a long time we have been bulging.

Who we did adorn after being born

After my poem had been posted,
Did end up home after I coasted,
Down hill;
Big thrill;
Ate cheese sandwich well toasted.

Lord Save Me From Trump.

Loose screws mean foolish tactics.

Labor should muffle flatulence tersely.

Leave some more forecasted therapy.

Let severe mandibles firmly tighten.

Limp severely my foot terrible. (That is a fact.)

Light started moving from time.

Luckily she meant for truce.

Liked some minds fighting Trump

Have a try at it.

For your poem always have cared;
You can tell it was well prepared;
To my delight,
Idea bright;
Room for nest poem they spared.

Thank You For the Days

I’m saddened by what’s happened it’s too bad it’s met its end
but I’m glad I am someone to have had that group of friends

long standing friendships create understanding
but doesn’t give you an exclusive place or standing

When cracks creek in aspects crumble thin
What is taken for granted ranted or stays within
a friendship disadvantage to both hers or hims
when things aren't resolved and both point fings

Annoyed and reactions cause uncool actions,
I think in all we were too close
I was always visiting you were always the host,
close but we coasted different I noticed
we can't restore and make the broken broke-less

Remember when Emily thought we were arguing,
We looked at each other like, are we? Hardly Em.

Synced up sorts alike in our thoughts
but sometimes very opposite in what we’d report,
Years of smoking took its toll
arguments saw our friendship fold
your fault my thought your thought mine
let's say we had some bloody good times

I don't know what's going on with the rest
gone are the days being seen as the best
a tear to the eye and aching chest
gutted by everything I must confess

I never cried out for attention it’s not how I live
to be fair I was always the one there that'd give
but I had one spell you told all I made up
It spread so quickly it became my make up

I never asked for anything
The one time I didn’t get anything
mocked in shock the friendship unlock
So as for Trim that’s the end of him
one came through not you near the ending

If I was treated so well why didn't I stay
I was going through hell and it had to change
the only way to do that was to walk away
and now it has to be where I stay

I’m moving on now
but thank you for the days of old
those were the days I spent with Col

I’m not blaming anyone I’m just telling my side of the story
I wasn’t believed or listened too that’s why I write these memories
