This Is My Shadow (Cleave Poem)

This
                                                      Is
                                                     My
                                                 Shadow

Poetry is my escape - and my cure

                                            I float - in word
like free bird soaring - swiftly
into the blue sky; freedom is not - found
in what you can offer - me
but in what I can do - for my self, without you

                                     vacuuming - my whole

Oh, my shadow - can only be
seen by those who are willing to see - me

This is three separate poems, that when put together (and read left to right ) make one.
1. 2. 3.
Once upon My fairytale There began
a time when my heart and his nightmare, dreadful and horrid,
was carefree and gay sailing together a journey, sailing
sweet and innocent on different ships through a crystal mist

Life was good and for a while two souls drifted on
lifting in song a story spun full of promise
a fantasy that fell sugary ripe and whole and
was dripping from my lips succulent

like honey. When stormy days In torrential rains
Then he sailed in on broken sails clinging to life
and stole my heart, our two ships weathering the storm
our destinies did collide with solid resolve

Now linked together His nightmare blind with fear
as his wild rages ripped my fantasy plunging into darkness
shattered and broke apart, before gasping and smashing
the glass bubble my very eyes stinging with rage

But through it all Love saved us both as the clouds parted
Our love rang true and on that magic day the seas calmed on
the dawning day when sun shone down again
we made it through the gale beaten but not broken

safe and sound, together on a dingy with faith renewed
Two as one, together now hand in hand I stand with you
into our sunset. we sail reborn

                                         On the other side
                                          of reality
                                         from our fears
                                         we're both set free

The Verdant Lore (Cleave Poem)

On the page - of this lore
painted verdant by - the rod of God
                  a word traveler - unveils

                              A song, - its charm
perhaps, sounding - on the mystic
                                   blue - sea

Amidst the echoes - of peripheral visions
his thoughts are - dancing wildly with the
                                orphic - wind

                                   Like - the twists
of leaves - in early Autumn
that innocently - falling in passion,
seeking a home, - to entertain the souls

              He sighs through… - the remnants-of dreams
and finds himself - a proverbial comfort

In the breath of - this blossoming page is
a verdant lore, - the scents of my life

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO CALLS US TO CLEAVE TO HIM

April 27 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 18-19

Key Verse – 2Kings 18:6 For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

FAITH IN GOD WHO CALLS US TO CLEAVE TO HIM

God calls us to cleave to Him with His might
Toward carrying His standards along faith’s fight
While He guards us against spoiling fright
And secures our steps upon walking in the light.

God calls us to cleave to Him with His valour
Toward standing upon His promises along faith’s fervour
While He strengthens us against destructive worldly rigour
And checks our hearts as we love Him with sincere ardour.

God calls us to cleave to Him with His charges
Toward doing His will along faith’s prayer-surges
While He prevails over us against carnal cringes
And directs our ways for better changes.

God calls us to cleave to Him with His preaching
Toward learning from His truth along faith’s stretching
While He fortifies us against false teaching
And guides our testimony by holiness-marching.

God calls us to cleave to Him with His sovereign voice
Toward following His precepts along faith’s choice
While He commands us to listen against confusion-noise
And instructs our spirituality to stay firm upon commitment-poise.

God calls us to cleave to Him with His provision
Toward abiding in His will along faith’s decision
While He blesses us against attacking crisis-oppression
And commends our service done through His compassion.

God calls us to cleave to Him with His approval
Toward continuing along faith’s revival
While He protects us against compromising upheaval
And propels our soulwinning endeavour until Christ’s arrival.

To Cleave

to cleave

come to me

in the flowing streams

of my clearest dreams

whisper to me colorful themes

the sweet themes of your dreams

show me what they mean

tell me how we'll make it in the times that are lean

when our air is stale, show me how to clean

how will you always to me, cleave

what will keep you and cause you not to leave
