Premium Member Black Caw Crow
Black caw crow flies overhead
black caw crow cries sounds of dread
small birds shiver in covert trees
mice skitter, scatter and flee.

Watercolor skies abound
mournful clouds cling to the ground
critters hide ‘neath fans of leaves
silent refuge from the siege.

Lazy slugs and snails alight
peaking black...

Life's a bowl of cherries as the old saying goes
So flap those ears and wiggle your nose
Laugh at the bad stuff
Giggle at the glad stuff
Stick out your chest and caw like a crow

The Caw of Crows
Sometimes they would group together in one spot and caw. Other times they would spread themselves in other locations, but at all times, they were persistent in claiming a spot to caw.
     The weather was no deterrent.

Caw Caw Caucus
Outside convenes a caucus of noisy crows,
through my window I observe their convention,
an impressive display but no one really knows
their chaotic cacophonic intention.

Landing on the lawn, and taking to the trees
Seemingly argumentative and yelling.
A skitterry squirrel takes note and flees,
taking refuge in his knothole...

Crows in a row go

Caw caw caw caw caw caw caw
It’s spring it’s spring it’s spring it’s spring
It’s spring it’s spring it’s spring

Pay no attention to the snow on the ground
It’s 52 degrees - the sky’s all around
Watch as we fly...

Premium Member Where Crows Never Caw
In demonic stare she sighs and writhes
Alluring like honey to take their lives
Attraction so dark, even crows never caw
This Gothic she, beyond the lights law

With out stretched arms invited they be
From the darkest light they come through the trees
The flutter of silk wings in crimsoned...

Farmadukes Caw
A dollup…a trollup
A mole and a troll
Free spring it
we wing it …while reaching for toffee-est loftiest goals

A habit-ish hobbit
with a knob and gromet
is wearing a rakish sneer
All grasping and gobble... foam and fobble - listen and you will hear!

A rabbit…Gosh nabbitt
A frog and a...

The Raven Caw
The ravens come
in a flock of dark winged hums,
rushing spatter of clustered migrations done
hanging on the weather fluctuations spun/

Black and bold ebony swarthy struts
 large bodies birded scruffs,
scavengers of leftover seeds, treats and nuts
bantering loud and indiscreet sound cuts.

Field strewn emerging caws

Premium Member A lone caw after long
The caw of the crow,
Once harsh and loud
Filled the skies when they
Gathered in a crowd.

For fifty years
Their voices not heard
Untill one lone caw
Returned out of the blue.

It's sounds once grating,
Now sweet and dear,
A melody of memories
I hold dear.

He flew away cawing
then I pondered,
"Where he...
