Tea and Cakes

The day is full of sunshine.
The big tree is full of flowers,
pink and gold blossoms of fairy fire.
The time of the year?
Spring.. perfect, and lovely.

Come sit with me my friend.
We will laugh under the branches,
that are way up high.
We will tell jokes and even sing,
if we choose to be in the mood to do so.
We will talk about yesterday,
and pray together for tomorrow.
The day will pass,
as we count the bees,
and the ladybugs,
that come to visit...
in the tall grass.

The picnic will taste heavenly,
marmalade and scones
made of orange and rye.
The lemonade goes down with ease.
There is comfort... there is peace...
we are spending time, well spent,
on a dime's worth of moments,
strung together to create a memory
we will both share forever.

Pass me a plate,
and the beautiful cake,
made from fate,
and seasoned with destiny.
I am happy, you are here.

Premium Member Fruit Cakes

Puzzled are the recipients of a fruit cake from Santa Claus this year!
Seems that Yuletide ain't complete 'less you git one to bring you cheer!

Fruit cakes are much maligned and I'm here to set the record straight!
However, I must admit 'tis one of the most bizarre things I ever ate!

Even a mediocre chef can be very creative in concoctin' such confection,
Tossin' in all kinds of dubious stuff and whippin' it up to perfection!

Yule never know what Yule find when into a fruit cake you slice!
You just have to take yer chances! 'Tis a proverbial roll o' the dice!

Should you choose not to eat the thing for fear of breakin' a tooth,
There are numerous functional uses fer this lowly delicacy, forsooth!

They make a wonderful door stop, foot stool or a very formidable missile,
When hurled at yer neighbor's yappin' mutt, that ever makes you bristle!

This is a not so subtle reminder so as in your mind there'll be no doubt,
If you're givin' fruit cakes as gifts next year, please include me out!

Baby Cakes

My Baby Cakes

With every breath you take,
My heart starts to quake,
Just to see your smiling face ,
Is all I want to see in this place.
I love you with all my heart,
And nothing can tear us apart,
Not even the life as we know it,
Will ever change the way a bit.
The love we share can always be,
Our life to each other is all I can see,
There is nothing else I need from you,
But to always be here and love me too.
You are my love ,My Baby Cakes,
I will always be here as long as it takes,
To start our new life together today,
Is what I want and to always say.
I LOVE YOU

	Memories
	of
	Sugar Cakes & Flour Sacks
	Written: by Tom Wright
	9/1/99

Sitting in prayer at Mothers door
As she lay in deepest sleep.
Her face, embedded with hand prints of time,
Told of a life, upon reflection,
	That made me weep.

Near her bedside death had crept
	Which would not be denied.
Life hadn't prepared me for this hour,
And all to soon she'd pass,
Once again I prayed and cried.

Void of suffering her ship quietly sailed
	Far beyond the rolling tide.
Now hand in hand with Jesus,
Our Mother, of Sugar Cakes & Flour Sacks
Had crossed to Jordan's other side.

Tea Cakes and Coffee Breaks

Monday morning coffee break
Everyone seems ill at ease
To be back working from eight to five

It almost seems the order of the day
For people to sit down and dissect human nature
Just to keep themselves alive

'Did you see what she was wearing'
'Did you hear what she said'
Its all par for the course I'm afraid

I sit amongst lives
Happy to critise others
Rather than face the mistakes they might of made

The business of bitchiness
Has me reaching for my quiet room
Begging for a sun that wakes

To bring me solace and freedom
From whisperers and secrets
On Tea cakes and Coffee breaks

Cow-Dung Cakes Online

Cow-dung cakes getting sold in a blink,
So it seems in India one may think.
Duly gift-wrapped and given,
To get with someone even,
Pretty sweet revenge proves with that stink!
___________________________________________________
Online shopping seems to have taken India by storm that would include even cow-dung cakes-- one of the most currently popular gifts ordered—often with a request to gift-wrap before delivered. And stocks run out, an eight piece package may cost up to 400 rupees. Hope, I won't get one for this ditty.

Tiger Barm Cakes

Always drip the sauce delicately over a tiger barm. Creases are crevasses. Don't look up or down then. Falling is not a fail or a cross. It is purely the pulling of carts over many many miles and many moons can be marked on a stick to the sky. Trees can float past at great speeds. How marvellous. How enchanting. How beautiful. And I would like a fully working pig that oinks. Not quacks. Or moos. Or baas. Pecking is the forte forte of a chicken. But watch out. For if they belch the ground shakes so much that the sky falls in. Lemon peel can be utilised for strong sails. And a biscuit can be recycled to create a sturdy helm. Leaning on the stock is very very good. But stockings made from iron are very very heavy. And too militarized. When and if a seagull comes to visit. Dress it up in a nice fashion. Complete with a smart round hat. Ignore the phone calls from wind tunnels. They are a waste of time. And zero waste is like watching salmon paste drying in a hole. Savouring sweeping swooshing seeking stem. And a mild mannered imaginative hawk on a jetty. Having a snooze. Wake not a walk. Behave appropriately with a bean burger. *** bounce *** book *** circular charismatic calibration circus circles. *** meteorological *** ha moon xx x under pin. *** nautical cuckoo xxxx z. And now all balance on trapezes thousands of feet above. *** ha ha ha xxxxx. 93% of a dramatic performance xxxx. Vibrational ***. Cake. Z.

Cakes Got a Beef

When a student is on the verge
of surpassing the teacher,
there always comes a flashpoint of conflict
Giving way to superior intellect
is a difficult thing to concede
The elder acquiescing to the younger
		 is a most vexing deed
Thus was the case with the Baby
and her mentor, Miss Queen Eleanor
Her parents didn’t call her Baby,
they called her Infant Eyes ...
because she was so young to be so wise
But, Miss Eleanor called her Cakes,
because she was the baby of the Queen’s Mensa brood:
	A smart, brainiac crew
that reeked havoc on all educational protocols,
		old and new
And their leader was Cakes —
the alpha that stirred this cerebral beta stew
But when Cakes started to spread her mental wings,
she got into a major beef with the Queen
Cakes theorized a mathematical shortcut
		through the temporal flux algorithm prime;
espousing a new law of quantum thermodynamics,
that would allow humans to transverse space in half the time
The Queen knew she was cornered into a checkmate,
and in the final analysis Cakes would win
But she fought long and hard, skin for skin
Making sure the new theory would hold up,
withstand all challenges in the end
Thereby forcing Cakes to acknowledge her as a worthy adversary
		and mentor
Now Cakes, like all great pioneers before —
once creatively unbound,
are intellectually free to explore
