There once was a Fawkes name of Guy
Whose dastardly plans went awry
Now in November
We still remember
And take pleasure in watching him fry

When we were young on bonfire night,
Watching fireworks light the sky
And marvelled at that coloured light,
When we were young on bonfire night.
Enthralled by that explosive sight
As sky rockets burst on high,
When we were young on bonfire night,
Watching fireworks light the sky.

Bonfire Night
Bonfire night.

Bonfire night. Oh what a fright.
A thousand explosions in the moonlit night.
The blackened sky lit up with little lights,
Like a Christmas tree, on November 5.

Guys with forks and knives eating burgers and fries
And hot dogs with the gals in front of the fire.
Let’s...

Bonfire Night
It were bonfire night in 1910,
when fireworks first lit the night,
streets that were dark in shadows,
now suddenly fulsome and bright.

Bairns scattered as the bangs blew o’er us,
we giggled and ran for our lives,
and clutched as the noises grew louder,
at the skirt’s of our father’s wives.

I...

Sky lightening up
flares and flashes
arching high above

Pretty sparklers in
kids gloved hands
waving circling

Loud bangs from rockets
as they explode showering
multi bands of colour

Catherine wheels
spinning round
a visual delight

Guy on top of bonfire
soon is well ablaze
warming cold hands

Display now done
kids head for bed
to dream of it again...

Bonfire Night
The croft was the centre of our universe,
About it all day we kids would converse.
We talked of raiding a few streets away,
We would steal their wood without delay.
Then on the night, we stood, eyes bright,
As the grown ups, the fire did light.
The flames...

Bonfire Night
Bonfire night
Sparklers dancing in the air
Children running without a care
Bang, boom, sizzling
Fireworks exploding the night sky glowing
toffee apples, peas, and pies
At night justice began overpowering
A man burned at the steak after threatening
From then on a celebration began
Dancing, fireworks, and...

Bonfire Night
On bonfire night I can feel my tummy twisting, tickling and turning all over my insides.
The warmth of the fire heating my face, as the smoke makes my eyes water.
The large fence keeping us safe as we watch the display,
The steaming cup of hot chocolate,...

Bonfire night

It’s alright, it’s not really such a fright

Guy Fawkes and friends had a plan

But then fell down to a man

King and country took them all

Then made them all fall

No more challenges for a while

Until we all start to smile

What did we get from bonfire...

Bonfire night
Why is it we remember
Guy fawkes set it alight

5th of November
Anti establishmentarian
Parliament a burning ember
Observance of many puritans

A plot was foiled
To blow up house of Lords
Guy fawkes plan spoiled
With dynamite and swords

Nowadays celebrated by a bonfire
The release of fireworks
Pay homage...
