Moonlight tango

It was a Saturday night, in Buenos Aires, 10:30pm, to be exact. It was a hot summers night, and you could see, and feel, the steam rising from the cobblestone street, here in La Boca barrio*. This is where it all began over a hundred years ago, and you can still see pictures of tangos faded heroes of yesteryear hanging on the walls.

The tango hall was packed with caballeros* in their suits and suspenders, and the damas* dressed in their red dresses, and stiletto heels. Still feels like the roaring 20's fedora hats and all! With a glance, and a flick of his baton, the orchestra leader motions to the bandoneon* player to begin, and so he starts dum dum dum, dum dum, dum dum dum.

The men tilt their fedoras slightly to one side, and stride ever so elegantly across the hall to pick their partner, and together they glide over the black and white checkered marble tile dance floor. The moonlight filters through the skylights, illuminating the smokey haze, that permeates the Milonga* hall.

The dancers have their gazes fixed on each other, and they move and glide to the incessant syncopated rhythm of the bandoneon. The violins and cellos join in with their plucking sound matching the tempo of 2-4 time. The dancers are dancing chest to chest, and then cheek to cheek, moving and gyrating, in time to the beat. As the tempo picks up the pace, arms and legs entwine, and then separate and entwine again. Spinning and twirling, strutting and whirling, they dance into a frenzy, at a frenetic speed, all the while staring with a look of love, (or at least of passionate desire) and what else would you expect to see dancing the moonlight tango?

* La Boca barrio- downtown neighborhood where tango was born
*Caballero(s)-gentleman(men)
*Damas- Ladies
*Milonga- tango dance hall
*Bandoneon- Small accordion style instrument.

A Birthday

A birthday is always a special day
A day that comes round each year
Celebrate it and surround yourself
With loved ones far and near

This day doesn't only resemble your birth
It's also a day to enjoy
The fact your living alive with life
Every man, woman, girl and boy

As you get older you start to know
The things life has in store for you
Make every effort count in life
See your journey in life through

Don't let no joy be taken away
From you as you walk each day
Knowing that theres a purpose for something
In your life so to you I say

Challenge the impossible for nothing in life is
Speak out to those who care to hear
Where there is a roadblock theres always a passage
Battle through it year after year

Time is ticking the hour is unknown
Be wise stay encouraged and be strong
Do what it takes to make your ends meet
In this life that seems so long

Happy Birthday to all who shares this day
May this message bring warmth to your heart
Make a wish for the moment and stick with it
For everyday is a fresh new start.

Sociedad Quebrantada

Esta sociedad ciega esta en crisis,

Es la causante de la corrució caótica,

Solo viven de la intención inseguros,

Sin saber qué es la determinación,

Dejándose llevar por una doctrina quebrantada...

La sociedad solo vive por vivir,

No dejando legados,

Sino dejando marcas.

Pero dejan a tontos e imbéciles libres al mundo;

A éstos les encanta vidajenear,

Por solo romper privacidad...

Solo pocos aprecian la amistad y el amor;

Otros se limitan a sí mismos y se ciegan;

Luego, se transmutan a incrédulos ambiciosos,

Sin propia convicción...

Por eso, muchos ambiciosos y mentirosos,

Recurren a la religión, en últimos instantes;

Pero, en últimos instantes es que éstos,

Mueren en propia cobardía e hipócrita sanidad...

No existe tal cosa como perfección,

Solo existe la compleja simpleza o la simple complejidad;

Por eso, no todos los que aventuran se pierden;

No todos los que exigen, aplican lo exigido;

No todos los que miran, observan;

No todos los que oyen, escuchan;

No todo el que hiere, merece;

No todas las heridas, sanan;

No todos los que inhalan, respiran;

No toda sonrisa es feliz;

No toda boca, habla;

No toda sangre y lágrima es en vano;

No toda mente y corazón son puros e inocentes;

No todos los que actuan, piensan;

No todos los que piensan, analizan;

No todo el que analiza, siente;

No toda alma es neutral y digna;

No todo el que existe, vive;

Y no todo el que vive, sobrevive...

Humanidad

comienzan a desmoronarse,
a unirse con los raíces del mundo.
Y en verdad estamos solos
pero no nos sentimos solos.

Llevamos al conocimiento en marfil,
al misterio, a la nostalgia olvidada.
En nuestras venas corre la sangre
de guerreros,
en los pulmones
las palabras
de Dios.

Let's Go To a Nicer Place

I'm going
to Boca Raton
the so called
rich people's "hell"
and learn
how to be happy and smiley
and sexy
and have a nice thing to say
after any
commercial break...

How to cheat
in income taxes
how to send
away business
how to hide
away my profits
how to lie
the government
how to open
a corporate
in Costa Rica
and Bangladesh
how to dump
all the garbage
in rivers,
trees
and everywhere
turning this countries
and their people
in garbage lands
and garbage men

And at the end
i'll spend my life
striking some cans
with rotten eggs
and that's will be my paradise
and that's will be
my so called hell...

Amanha

Se eu tenho de morrer
Meu deus!
Que não seja já
Eu quero ouvir nas ruas o meu povo gritando
“ Havemos de voltar”
Quero ver a minha terra tão linda e tão rica!
Quero dormir a sombra da mulembeira ouvindo cantos da minha gente
Se eu tenho de morrer
meu deus que não seje já
porque
eu sinto e tu bem sabes
que eu morrerei
humilhado, maltratado e traído…
Mas que não seje já!

Se cometi algum crime
nas paginas negras
do universo
SANTISTA
serei julgado e condenado
Se opinar e crime
serei julgado e condenado
mas nunca espancado e torturado,
porque sou
e
sempre serei
um nacionalista aterrorizado
pensando nos campos de concentração
na violação
humilhação
dos crimes políticos NETISTA
se cometi algum crime
serei julgado pela boca do povo!
Mas desta vez, pelo pai todo poderoso
serei julgado e condenado
mas nunca
espancado
e
humilhado.

Me Lastimas

The War of Jenkins' Ear

(absurdly enough, a true story)

Four centuries ago this year
(believe me, for I’ve checked!)
Britain and Spain jointly adhered
to the Treaty of Utrecht.

They’d been at war so long before,
concerning – of all things –
the British right, as Britain saw,
of choosing Spanish kings.

Yet more wars came, with curious names,
as often as the seasons.
But what was claimed? Who was to blame?
We scarcely know the reasons.

In ‘thirty-one, Boca Raton
saw trouble reappear:
the brittle peace o’erran its lease,
and Jenkins lost his ear.

For Jenkins, Master, this disaster
befell him while afloat.
The Spanish fleet, on meet-and-greet,
boarded the British boat.

Of depredations wrought by nations
we’ve surely seen enough.
Suffice to say, swords were in play:
one cut his ear clean off.

Of privateers and buccaneers,
we’ve heard, and Captain Morgan:
but not of Tom, thus parted from
his auditory organ.

Tom Jenkins went to Parliament,
with amputation: viz,
of Commons and Peers he had the ear
(and they, by George, had his!)

“It’s war! It’s war!” All voted “for”.
“The clearest insult ever!”
“We can’t have kith and kindred with
appendages thus severed!”

From first to last, the canon blasts
rang out for ten long years.
Who knows the cost? But many lost
a good deal more than ears.

So, blood ran high. Men fought, and died.
Faced grapeshot.  Didn’t falter.
But who today can name that fray,
or guess at what it altered?

When will we learn? When will we spurn
the razor and the cosh?
Or, decades hence, will violence
still spill out, over tosh?

Momentos Del Ayer

compartimos juntos tantos momentos

pues aquella noche tu amor a mi vino

Nothing Will Break Me

No matter what attack me regardless the force
that it carries it won't break me away
Into pieces, or the path that I make my way
toward I will make it every step each day

Foul words, corrupt judgement show no value
for it shall not ever forsake me or take
My inner value or beauty in my inspiration
there is nothing I will allow my ground to shake

Like a storm with lightening no thundering crash
could ever shock me in the discovery of sight
Of the mission to complete that's within my reach
even if the travel is through a desert day and night

People with smoke that trails behind their wake
like the Devil in disguise never will you break me
Nor convince me with your tongue full of trickery
or lies like your untouchable to everyone you see

I'll fight violence through words the mightiest weapon
that there is to use towards those with no moral sense
To understand what it feels like to go through something
severe like a nightmare full of horror which becomes intense

Those who follow the crowds who have little respect
who give no meaning to the things they say and do
Are the people who pretend to be a friend playing an act
you don't fully see how they are trying to play games on you

Why should only miracles show people so very little
when a miracle has a beauty like a rainbows descent
As it fills the skies that we live under within a world
that is so corrupt that always remains overspent

By people seeking answers, historians, scientists, politicians
to the questions that they struggle so hard to get proof
As they lose themselves in an endless search far and wide
amongst the globe to these observations there's never any truth

No Devil will ever break me no demon will ever be drawn
or take me over or control me in any way of living
For I am a person with a soul of love and heart of gold
as Jesus was towards his enemies I am also forgiving.

The Best Thing You Had...
May 27, 2013

"Frankly Speaking" I can't hide my kindness? My exterior says tough; Yet, for some reason you looked right pass that!
 I did not intend to care-or to love or to march on beat- or to become unhinged.
 Can I hide my eyes? Why are you not afraid- Why doesn't my indifference offend you? Before now, not even months ago, I was shrouded in beauty; Which I thought was the reason for your endearment.

 This time I am now withered - No way for her to see the big deal you saw in me. Beauty nor homeliness is not allowed to not stand in the way of progress - I was your means to an end- Then after she asked after me. You spoke ill of me said, that I was "nothing to write home about “. By then I'd come to know That I was your "best kept secret ".

 She has stolen me from you like a thief creeping in the shadows. As a good friend, she had to ask you to make sure that her next move would be fair' She ask after me again - As she was one of your uppity friends that coveted whatever you were doing.

 You knew what it was- ' She knew there was more to me than met the eyes, and so did you. So, the day you all went sailing on your yacht is when you deceitfully gave her your presumptuous assessment of my worth.

She in turn revealed to me of your “cum si -cum saw” pretentiousness. She told me she would do better by me and how unappreciative you were. She came to rescue me. And we stole away to the Boca-Raton.

 And the best thing you had was now gone.! Even though my survival instincts and my ability to turn nothing into something. Still pays off for you.
Now you had the profit all to yourself ... Although I think about it often,I bet you never had a clue.

 Yet with all you knew,when she asks you about me, the backbone of your spineless spine: The truth could have been told --and we could have been fine-
We are sharing the memories of those days separately. Maybe you know now why I left you with your "mangoes ", I never told you the secrets in my sauce. As I am just "FRANKLY SPEAKING"

We Shall Not Be Moved

WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED

We have overcome through the blood by the almighty
Son of Christ who came and died for us all on the cross
To pay for all sins of this world giving us hope for the future
to make change to rid the negative and to toss

The devil out of our wake as he was defeated long ago
he has no power over God's people to twist our mind
Nothing can move us out of the direction or path we go
through our lives let our salvation give us hope to find

A positive future for all people for God's watching us friends
with Him no demon or devil could ever block our way
Nor any followers of the wicked or smoke blowers with fumes
stay alert and focused for soon will arrive His coming day

Those who are followers of the wicked you can never halt
the movement of God's people who are working as a team
Dressed in the armor that God has given us to wear
to shake the wicked to the fullest depth and extreme

No barriers will hold me, no darkness will take me under
nothing will consume me for I came with a voice to break
Through the violence of this world, hatred from persecutors
I won't give the evil force of this world nothing to take

Let us rejoice together friends, let us speak out to all people
who are lost in the wilderness with no light always sightless
For great blessings belong to those who change their ways
for God has claimed you cleansed you making you righteous

Those who don't believe in change of a person who has struggled
is a fool of the devil blinded by nothing but darkness who bring
Nothing in their wake as they walk with pride with believed perfection
those who are bound by evil will lose not some but everything

We shall not be moved, we shall walk forward in unity friends
for God's army can't be defeated by nothing in this land
For the devil has no ground nor do any of his followers
who God when He returns will simply crumple to sand.

Mujer

Humana y diversa
Coqueta y mestiza
Siendo siempre lo que te descontrola
Mi segunda boca, tercera, cuarta
Toda, toda mia
Tuya si quiero
Te quiero mujer, te siento real
Me habito en tus venas y en tus vellos entrecruzados
Soy mujer
La humedad que no se seca
Un placer de entraña.
